- I have has this scan tool since 2008. In it's prime, it was a great tool. For older cars and trucks, especially pre OBD-2 cars, it is still worth a fortune. For newer stuff? Well.... Not so much. There are much better options for around the same price as these go for used. They have also stopped supporting them and they can't be updated even with the newer software that is available.

Still use mine from time to time still a great tool global obd2 will still pull codes from the newer 2019 and 2020 vehicles thru the automated system test its slow but will read all modules on the car i just bought the scope module and exhaust gas analyzer to keep it rolling into the future
That is cool to know that it reads the 19 and 20 models. I agree that it can be very slow
Hey does Jaguar have any options in there for ecm reflashing on a Jaguar xk8 2001?
No reflash with this one other than a few small things in older GMs.
So not applicable to me. But the positive for me is I appreciate you helping us all As a VW Bug Thing NC resident I’m subscribed and Like all you content. Thanks.
I've recently picked up some new bugs so new content is coming!!
@@FarpointRestorationsAndRepairs looking forward to that.
How did you manage to get the update? Over dial up or over a CD? I recently acquired the device and it has Pathfinder 2004 and couple other 2003/2004 SWs.
It's a disc, but the image of that disc can be found online. Sadly they no longer support the unit so keep that in mind.
@@FarpointRestorationsAndRepairs Could you please point me to the right direction?
@@FarpointRestorationsAndRepairs Would you also mind sharing the parameters of the charger? Mine is missing and the guy I bought it from isn't sure, which one is the right one (he has a box full of chargers).
I'm assuming something like 12 - 15 V DC, center positive, but I'm not sure and don't want to fry my tool. I can charge the battery using a lab power supply, but a power brick would be a bit more convenient.
Thx.
What scanner have you used for mid to late 90s Volvos? I’m trying to figure out what to do with my 98 S70
The 1996 to 1998 Volvo's are finicky when it comes to scan tools. This one is not a good pick for that task. Look for an older Autel Maxisys.
@@FarpointRestorationsAndRepairs thank you, for the most part all the engine side obd2 stuff has been accurate with snap on scanners and down. But SRS and ABS have been a struggle.
will this work on a 1995 corvette
I am not 100% sure- I think it will
Nice scan tool. What does it cost to update this tool?
Sadly the website that allowed updated to happen on this tool is now gone. No further updates are avalible.
How is it for ford 6.0
It's a great tool for older USA made cars. OK for older Asian cars, and crummy for Euro cars. That said, there are a LOT of better newer options these days.
