There doesn't seem to be many class 442s around. Wonder why that is .

@@seaside-dn8dp no I think there going to upgrade the signaling system around December and then the 442s will return to service because the current system had problems caused by the 442s when the 442s were in Service they caused a Signal problems

@@OwenR10 Ah okay. Shame tbh since they spent a lot of money refurbishing them. Haven't ridden one yet although saw a couple at Woking and Guildford a few months ago

There will be more opportunities since December early next year because the 701s will be replacing the class 455s and the class 458s they will also be replacing the class 456s too.

Should we be worried that as the new 701 receeds in to the distance two sets of exterior door-activation lights are flashing, as if the guards key is in place or something? Appreciate that its a test run, but I wonder if that's a problem or deliberate?
