Yeah Natty had her solo debut in 2019 but it didn't really catch all that much momentum. Like someone mentioned she was simply too young on Sixteen, I don't think jyp had any intention of debuting her in Twice but it was clear how talented she was, especially in dance. She also was killing it on Idol School (formed fromis_9) but started getting very little screen time. Weird huh. Good thing nothing shady was going on in that show. Accompanied by not-at-all-veiled recism from the voters and commenters, it was pretty nasty. So that's why it took her so long to debut in a group. Also loved the symbolism of her falling in her solo try but now she's got groupmates to support her. 😭 Just having followed her for so long and knowing how talented she is (it's so obvious you got it in like 15 seconds into her solo how good she is) that I'm just so happy and want to support her, even after this company dumped Hot Issue who I loved so much and am still mad at them for. I mostly agree with the order although I like every song. Pretty much like the solos in the order they released, and like Neverland more than Shh but enjoy both.
I loved her song nineteen, I was rooting for her success as a solo artist, but I'm also glad we got this group. Sugarcoat is my fav song out of this debut (I have all the songs on constant repeat)

As for Belle's solo she wrote it when she was in high school. For Julie's the street where she tagged the the garage, they had her do a rap cover randomly, Julie also actually got hurt during the MV (shes been hurt during MVs on both albums now). Hanuel the only unique thing to notice during her solo besides that it fits her, is her skirt has her name written on it.
The most surprising and also welcome novelty this debut had to offer are mature and layered vocals and the style of the mvs. I keep referring to them as a Netflix rendition of a K-pop group and I do so in a good way. Less polish and cookie cutter and more rawness are more than welcome. This is one of the rare occasions where I liked the songs because of the vocals first, not something you hear that often with all those runs, scales, adlibs, vocal fry, and the fact that Play Love Games was sung more like a musical than a normal song was the icing on the cake. Seems like the road is uphill for them but I'll support them, they're too talented.

Julie: a wild and free spirit like a cat, who’s also dream of becoming an idol hence the poster she kept in her car, she refuses to follow her dream though and kept living her party life she’s screaming when she was put in a spot on that party because she’s still not found her self and doesn’t feel confident to follow her dream. The scene after her boyfriend find the poster he light up the car to put give a spot lights on her again this time she’s dancing and feel comfortable, in the morning she saw again the poster she finally sober up and decided to actually start to pursue her dream Haneul: she’s the youngest actually shy but when she became a suddenly known influencer she realized how much she love dance and attention despite her shyness and introvertness. The 3 (Natty, Julie & Belle) met when Julie hit Natty with her car on the street. And Haneul house across the street she watched the accident from her window. But became friend after the 3 help her got out from a creep. Natty try the Audition again but this time with her 4 new friends together. Obviously passed and skip to the dance part where they all glow up and become an idol group ❤
haneul's song isn't also to my taste but i find it fits her really well & it works to show us her personality; i also think the song and storyline for each member suits them and what it seems to be their lives, and that's why i'm fascinated by this group so much. musically, i would only listen to natty's solo and bye my neverland, but the other songs feel like they are more a story than a /song/ and that's why i got hooked on them even if at first i didn't like them as much. as it happens when you're older AND when you have younger siblings, i feel like whenever i see an idol born after 2003, i should be seeing a kid (when they are in fact already 20yos) and i feel like kpop does not do much to portray the realities these 18-20yos girls go through? so seeing these girls made me see things as they are, in a way. like, haneul's 18 and in highschool and a tiktok girlie but she's also a 18 yo with all these teenage insecurities and awkward relationships, but belle is just a year older and struggling in a very different way that still is as believable and realistic to her age without taking the "young" out of it? julie and natty are already on their 20s but they're (we're) still so young and it's refreshing to see the lives of youth portrayed in a way i can actually relate to + make me realize that a 2003, 2004-born is not the highschool kid i imagined in my head idk, i haven't properly figured out in words what i like so much about these girls since it all ties with my current issues with the kpop industry, but the thing is that i like them and i hope it works out well for them

I took the outfit change in Shhh between them going on stage and the start of the performance as a time skip. Like it started with them going in to audition as a group and then jumped forward to show them after they’d passed and practiced/trained together and were making their debut.
This is one of the strongest teams in kpop ever...and there hasn't been a kpop group in a long time with such a charming girl group. ……They are very strong. Waiting for the day when the company can provide better support...you have to watch their performance, full of readiness to be quality artists

There are two Americans, Belle was born in Seattle, Washington. I didn't like Haneul's song either but that's because it sounded too much like "Take Me Out to the Ballgame."
I thought I’m the only one who feel Sugarcoat would be cool for XG Title Track since it sounds like the type RnB they sing. But Natty vocals really fit this song perfectly as well I’m happy it’s her Solo she really killed it and it’s my favorite song
My ranking of the songs is the same as you with Natty's solo as no 1 and the rest in order of release and of the group mv's i also like Bye my neverland a lot more than Ssshh like it's not a bad song but i don't really like the chorus amongst a few other things but overall a pretty impressive debut , it's refreshing to have adults debuting and have a somewhat more mature concept from the start
