If you watch the early interviews of the people in swat and other agencies their stance was totally in favour of Taliban and against military operations but once the military operations started the local people faced use of force by army for info against Taliban This is also true that those locals who were affiliated with government in any case faced problems and difficulties from Taliban

IK is unorthodox and on one hand he is open but he also drives the others to expose themselves in an unconventional way. This has benefited the awareness and literacy of ordinary people (who can't do it from privilege of reading - time and resources) by exposing just about everyone, including those Aasteen Kay Saanp within PTI.
