What a great little video. Keep it simple, informative & funny 😄👍
All-being-well as I'm now retired, I'll be returning to skiing next season after a 35 year gap, but I'll be 67, so I hope I'm not to old to be a mature beginner, and can pick it up.
I’m going to be 68 this summer and I’m looking forward to my best skiing ever this winter. What’s going to make the biggest difference is the fact that I got rid of two narcissists in my life 👍👍👍
I'm only a little north of 50. Last season was my first year back on skis since 05-06 and it really is just like riding a bike. Once my strength came back I was cruising anything on the mountain all day long and it was a blast.
I do regret those years off, but my wife doesn't really ski and skiing wasn't nearby for that time. I'm finally near a mountain again and this time I'll be sure to keep it that way.
@@teknik12k right on. I’m not ready to give it up yet no matter what. Keep it going 👍👍👍🥰
Well since we're talking age, I'm 72. I think skiing all summer waiting for the snow. We're hours or days from the snow, but manage to get to western USA 30+ days each year. Can't wait
If u want it, it will happen... obsession is a good way forward... there's sooo much online help now, u hardly need ski school.. if u want to hit the ground running check out Harald Harb, he has been the backbone of my "senior" skiing..
Very good video on basics of piste ski-ing. Very clear explanations, really useful!!!
Very useful video and found the impersonation of the Scottish coach hilarious 😆 "Get on it!!!"
Very good demonstration, from now on I'll remember to squish those strawberries and be on it outside ski.
3 axis of awesome! Let's go!
Really good coaching
Just soooo good - brilliant instruction- thanks very much
You're very welcome!
Fantastic video! 🍓
And does the inside ski do anything to aid the grip - or is it just there for the ride
Love it!! 👍🏻
Love this video. Thank you
Please post this on elite skiing.. We'll need popcorn for the comments.
On it! On it! On it! Off it! 😂
Great content
Quick question please - if the front boot straps are done really tight - as normally told - there is little or no movement to allow to squish the strawberry - are you promoting the front straps to be looser please
Sono molto ben fatti i vostri video tutorial. 👍👍
How about flexion and extension to calm that verticle movement in your demo !?
question, it seems you have the top part of you ski boot tilted forward, as you seem to be standing leaning forward on default. did you adjust the shaft of your skiboot forward to achieve this posture? i noticed it can be changed on my own pair with a special wrench that came with the boots.
Congrats!!!
Fabulous, thankyou!
You're very welcome!
Excellent
This is an interesting presentation of the three pressure fundimentals. The only thing I did not understand is what movement is made in order to transfer pressure from the downhill ski to the uphill ski in the transition phase. Is the movement to shift weight when extending (effectively standing on) the uphill lski?
this dude is hilarious.
Quick question please - would you say that skiing is basically on one leg really
nice sound track. Who is it ?
Coach sounds like andy F
Here are three tips to improve your skiing:
1. Make a lot of money so you can effing afford to go skiing.
Repeat step one ad infinitum.
This guy is good but the cameraman must be better in some shots the camera guy must be skiing backwards as well as filming!
HILARIOUS.....fifty years ago they called that a stem christie...contrary to everything you hear from YT content creators, there ain't nothing much "new" in skiing after all, now is there???
you forgot the need to check the rotational inertias in the horizontal plane...
Noooo, sorry, noooo. You lost me on the outside-inside ski thing. Top skiers turn with both skis however. They turn with one foot slightly in front of the other. The plumes of snow behind them are identical. The weight is evenly distributed on both skis.
Plug(((
This guy's a level 4? I'm seeing a lot of stemming going on there.
this is for the purposes of the drills to keep the movements controlled
