@@cthulhuisking3355 I’m pretty sure, and don’t quote me on anything, that you can mine without damaging your hardware. Just remember, if you do any crazy overclocking and if you mine 24/7, then your hardware will probably deteriorate.

so if you are making 5-10 dollars a week, let's assume you are making 10$ every week, after a year you will have made around 520$.
So that means it will take you more than a year to just get your investment money back, and that's assuming you are making not less than 10$, and that those 10$ are net, after the power expenses.
And what if for some reason some hardware part fails suddenly? A PSU? A motherboard? the GPU itself? that instantly puts you months back.
Please tell me what you thing, to me it sounds really unattractive.

hey! i have an old but very stong server computer, and its not my main pc, and i can leave it on forever, how much will i earn?
How can we protect from PC getting on fire (unlikely, but just as a precaution).
For example maybe we can set up that it turns off after it reach certain very high temperature (if that would be an indicator of potential fire)?
Or maybe put it in a specific place/way that it is less likely to give fire from the PC to the house itself?
Any other ideas?
As far as I know most motherboards are setup to turn off after the cpu reaches a certain high temperatures
it wont catch on fire as long. it will get hot. to stop this, make sure gpu and or cpu are being cooled well.
The most likely culprit for a computer catching fire is the power supply. It’s the one thing you don’t cheap out on. Besides the power supply catching fire the internal temps won’t be an issue. Your pc will shut itself down if overheating.
I started with quickminer, running a rtx 3070 laptop gpu and expecting 55mh/s, but it was hashing at 5mh and 25mh for some issues with my despite just updating them. I uninstalled and installed NH miner using daggerhasimoto alg with all 3 third party miners. now I'm returning the 50-55 mh/s I was expecting. Excited to see how this goes!
does it go straight to a counbase account?

Can I add gpu to a pcgame, without Any special configuration ,
Biggest question is can I throttle it so it’s not maxing out the GPU 100% of the time. I would like to be able to dail it back to optimize power usage while trading so I can run all my monitors and charts.

I have a 4770k, with 32 gb ram Asus Hero 5 mother board with a H100 water cooler, my current graphics cards are 2 770 EVGA Nvidia, Cards, I know those cards are way outdated and plan to upgrade to a 3000 series and slso have a 750 watt power supply . I started mining on Nicehash today with my EVGA FTW3 Ultra 3080. My Vram temps are between 95-100 celsius. Is that too much for 24/7 mining ? Should I try to lower those temps/ get a waterblock ? I heard GDDR6X runs hot either way.

As long as you want. I let it run for most of the day Both CPU and GPU and I can still surf the web and watch Netflix at a cost of (-.15¢, -40¢ a Day)
Even Platformers as I mine like Gato Roboto (-.30¢ a Day)
Photoshop can run as long as you cut your CPU mining.
I Run It all night, wake up pause the miner reset the overclock on it for a bit ill maybe game or make food W.e.. then start it again
( just to give it a little break here and there but don't actually worry)
If you Overclock which I recommend since you can lower your power limit and increase profits.
initially optimized my GPU using Nicehashe's Quickminer and then tweaked it my self a bit more on MSI Afterburner
(Things like lowering the power limit, increasing cores, memory, voltage and Temp. Limit)
You don't need to get Quickminer since adding exceptions to your antivirus can be annoying. Plus why install another of the damn near same thing. But Being a Newbie then and for the easy of Overclocking It's what I Did.
(In Reality Just making sure your overclock Is stable and Temperature isn't jumping around more then accouple degrees
Overall id recommend to start mining Asap the longer you wait, is time that could have been Mined
COMPUTER SPECS:
CPU: Rayzen 5 1600 Connected to EVGA all in one water cooler (worth more then my CPU but keeps it cold)
GPU: 1660TI GPU Stays steady around 59- 61 Degrees Celsius
Profits : $2.98/aDay
(You will see this increase with the market taking a dump I've Been able to mine at $8.06/aDay)
This varies based on the price of BTC and the total Hash rate of everyone on the network. Everyday as more computers begin to mine they add there hash power to the BTC Network Which will in turn make mining more difficult, and to add to the fact the reward for Mining was cut in half In 2020 and will be cut again sometime in May 2024
For a single gaming pc That's on all day I Really don't notice much of a Difference in my electricity when Looking at the My parents bill

@@english-maths1502 i would uninstall and reinstall make sure you correctly add exceptions to your firewall or antivirus. You firewall or antivirus should flagg nicehash multiple times depending on how many algorithms you have selected.
In the plugin tab there's other algorithms make sure in the details that your gpu or cpu is supported not all algorithms work for everyone.
If you don't add an exception correctly it could cause certain mining services to not work such as your cpu.
Other tip: RUN IN ADMINISTRATOR i would right click go to proportions, advanced, and check always run as administrator

I don’t see why you need the whole house running on solar ; you could just have some solar panels in your back yard dedicated to just running the power to your computer ; those house panel installations costs tens of thousands and also require ongoing maintenance 👨🔧 it’s really not financially efficient to spend money to make money 💰
