    Future Breeze started as a project with Markus Boehme and Martin Hensing. The German producers duo is known for hits such as “Why Don’t You Dance With Me”, “Read My Lips”, “Smile”, “Keep The Fire Burnin”, “Ocean Of Eternity”, “Temple Of Dreams” and many others.
    After my interview about “Why Don’t You Dance With Me”, I did a second interview with Markus and Martin, plus Vincent Price, who joined Future Breeze in 2021, was part of this interview as well.
    For this episode, I asked the guys about the story behind “Temple Of Dreams” and more.
    Enjoy and thanks for watching!

    Which version / remix of "Temple Of Dreams" is your favorite one?

      Pedro Del Mar vs DJ Shah mix 100%. They turned the already very good original into something new which isn't an easy task.

      The version with the vocals. In the UK, it was mainly the instrumental version that was released.

      Along with tracks like 'Barthezz - On the Move', 'Future Breeze - Temple of Dreams' was top calibre back in 2001 or so, partying went on til the morning 😅

    Mad, makes me feel old now. I was 16 when I heard this. Time flies, but the memories are forever. I have genuinely never found another type of music that has been there in my life as long as electronic.
    Now im 37 still listening to new releases and reminiscing over old ones.
    What a gift, savour it guys. Love your work twan!

    2:44 and me sitting here with a Novation Supernova rack and thinking what a boring synth, so the bass and the main lead came from it for temple of dreams, cant believe it.

    Oh yes! Temple of dreams!
    This was the song that once played in the background when you visited the website of my (then) favourite radio station "Topradio" many years ago. I remember visiting that website often because of that background music... Until they changed it.
    But now i have it in my collection!

    *Hensing.
    It's quite funny Temple of Dreams became such a hit. I think there's various Future Breeze tracks that deserved to be hits but were less popular. It's probably because of the 4Clubbers - Children remix people took note of Temple of Dreams.
    Very nice you asked about the remixes as they're such a big part of FB history. I have to agree with Frank, the Forerunner remix is very catchy! Wasn't a big fan of the Dune remix either, the Komakino remix on the same CDM/12" is very good.

      And yeah, that Sash! Remix was huge! I'm sure not everybody knows Future Breeze was responsible for the radio (= hit version!) version of the track. I hope at least a few people found out now ;-)

    It's good to hear the stories of another classic from Future Breeze.
    As I remember well, it was one of the songs I underestimated.
    Since 2000, I liked Smile more than them, Ocean than Erernity especially the remix of Paul Hutch and the remix of Safri Duo Bay, Baya because they combined the classic pizzicatto sound with the newer supersaw sounds.
    By the way, I'm starting to worry about Markus. I think he should lose some weight.
    Two years ago, one of my uncles died of cardiovascular insufficiency, which was caused by overweight.

  • @MakeMagic
    @MakeMagic 2 года назад +4

    I think Temple of Dreams was actually the very first vinyl I ever bought. I was only a kid at the time and didn't have vinyl decks - but we did have a vinyl turntable as part of an old Hi-fi.
    I heard this amazing track being played by Dave Pearce on Radio 1 one Sunday night and searched high and low online for a rip of it. I couldn't find one and it wasn't even close to being released in the UK yet as a CD.
    So I created an eBay account and bought a German promo vinyl for £12. I would sit for ages with headphones on just playing it over and over 😂

    • @muzikxpress
      @muzikxpress  2 года назад

      Haha wow you have a good memory!

    • @MakeMagic
      @MakeMagic 2 года назад

      @@muzikxpress One other thing I think I remember about that original promo mix... The main melody is actually 2 different midi lines that play together to form chords - but on that mix, they panned the two melodies hard left and right... so if you listened to one side only, you wouldn't get *that* distinctive temple of dreams melody. Like the harmony plays in the left channel.
      I think they probably toned down the panning for the commercial release.
