Lizzys World it is not a myth. Just look int he wild, they live in large groups! It is not enough to let them play. They will not be bonded properly and so won't interact as if they live together. Even if they do begin to bond, every time they separate it will damage the bond.

@@AnkitaMazumder24 Young rabbits should have alfalfa hay. They should not have pellets until later. When they have been introduced to timothy hay, you can start giving them timothy hay pellets. My bunny loves them. I get them from Small Pet Select on Amazon.

And i want to start feeding him veggies daily My mom says we cant free roam him in my room, he is too old to be potty trained, and that he would just chew up the beds. What do i do?

I know I may sound annoying but you shouldn’t feed your rabbits too many greens as it can make them gassy or sick. Also DONT CAGE BUNNIES! They belong in a wide space like a bedroom or maybe a your lounge room. Please understand that rabbits were originally caged to fatten them up for eating!!! Rabbits don’t belong us cages please just remember that! Also do not feed them full carrots! If you ever give them carrot make it only 1 slice and not everyday!

My rabbit lives in the garden. I give him supermarket rabbit food every 2 days and water of course. When I am in the garden I pet him. He is free to eat whatever he wants from the garden. That is all. It has been going on like this the last 5 years. No problems at all. I don't think he needs hay as he can eat the grass or any other plant in the garden. (and he sometimes does, but not often).

hi, ik im pretty late to this vid but hopefully u still reply😅. so i just came back from the beach(which is a 6hr drive) and i brought home a 12week old baby wabbit. and ive had her for 3 days now and i LOVEE her. But im still a hs student and school is starting up and my parents and i r going back on another trip. long story short i just wanted to say. will it be okay if i leave her at home for a week? or maybe 2 ik that sounds INSANE and im probably getting criticized rn😭 but im working on potty training her. and she wont be left in her pen all day she can free roam a little in my room that ive blocked off. sorry for this being super long. ur channel was the only bunny channel that ive seen that is calm, not harsh, and understandable :)

I'm very worried about feeding to much veggies. Mine is a female mini-rex, free roaming, and is about 4.5 pounds. I feed her about 1.5-2 cups per day, stretched out over two meals (once in the morning and once at night) as well as small treats every few hours (cherry tomatoes, banana, and baby carrots)
I don't feed pellets often, but I try to feed them every other day. I don't think my bunny is overweight since mini-rexes are suppose to be around 4-5 pounds but I'm worried if she eats too much she might get sick. She's very food motivated, so I don't think she knows when to stop. I just don't want to feed her so much at the same time.

A bored rabbit is a destructive rabbit.. That's why our rabbits are free to roam the entire property, backyard, front, even complete access in and out of the house 24/7.. never had a destructive problem except when the female is trying to gather materials for nesting which destroyed our broom and biten a chunk off of our GREEN and RED charging Cables.. So changed all cables to white and black as all our extension cables are, then no more chewing problem, they don't even chew on the cardboard boxes inside the house.. you don't need chew toys if you planted assorted tall grasses in the yard for them to feed on according to their wants.. They now ignore even Premium hays from the market. Because hay are just "dried" grass. But they do love pellets.. And no need to litter train them, they simply go out and do their business in the section of the backyard where all their grasses are planted. The only poop or pee problem I have is when the male rabbit is courting the female rabbit. But it rarely happens inside the house, and often happens when we're asleep and lights are off. So we started to leave the lights open in the house, and to my surprise, its been a month with Zero courtship accidents in the house. Perhaps the male are NATURALLY more active in courting at night by instinct.

Hi, I’m hoping you’ll see this. I’m hoping to get a rabbit soon and I’d like to know everything there is to know. I’d like a Dutch rabbit, there’s no shelters that take rabbits in my area or in my county so I’m going to the pet store (please don’t attack me!) I’m getting a cage, but the rabbit will be free roaming 95% of the time, except when I’m at dancing (Irish dancing) I’m 13, am at home the majority of the time and (think) I know everything a rabbit needs. Hay, veggies and a few pellets everyday, litter box, hidey houses, attention. But the one thing I’m worried about is my dog. She’s a bichon frise and doesn’t really care about other animals and has never chased a rabbit (as other dogs do) she has also met a guinea pig and just sniffed it and walked away. I think she’ll be fine and I think I’m responsible enough to care for a bunny for the next 10 years. Please reply if there’s anything else I need to think about??

Thinking of getting a bunny? Research. Research. Research. The very first and most important part of loving your bunny is to get them their first vet check. A small animal vet which are usually more expensive than Vets who treat cats and dogs but locating an appropriate vet is a must. Have the vet spay or neuter them. They will be happier and healthier. Buns must dig so it’s your carpet or a digging area, a kiddie pool works for a house rabbit. Only use bunny safe scissors to cut nails for indoor bunnies. Buns will chew so provide them with shreddable toys or you may find that your electrical cords have become teethers. They love to snuggle in small spaces so try making cardboard box tunnels. DIY using cardboard toilet rolls. Consider rescuing a bunny from your local shelter. Many are surrendered because the owner did not know how much time, effort and work is required to raise a bunny. A bunny in need of rescue is coming to live forever in my outdoor rabbitat. His name is Mr. Daisy. It takes about 2 to 4 weeks to form a secure bond but it is worth it. Don’t try to pick them up. It’s best to sit with your bun so you don’t seem as much as a threat. Remember, they are prey animals and they possess heightened awareness of possible threats. Once they have securely bonded with you, then start training them to be picked up by you. Just remember, they are herd animals so if it a house bun, then you are their herd. You are their everything so expect to spend as much time as possible with them. 😊

Your bunnies look great but the majority of a rabbit’s diet should be Timothy Hay and a blend of other hay and/or grasses. Pellets are good but they are a rabbits second choice, after hay and grasses. A pellet only diet adds weight. Vegetables are not a necessary part of a diet for a healthy rabbit though no more than two cups a day is ok. Just no squishing the veggies down to get more into the cup. It’s like dessert for them. Hay is also much cheaper and healthier than vegetables. Some vegetables are poisonous to rabbits so check with their vet or a trusted rabbit information website. Hay cubes are a great supplement but only 1 or 2 every other day. A salt lick is a good addition that your bun will enjoy. Buns enjoy fruit as well but no more than two tablespoons a day. Following rabbit diet guidelines will keep your buns digestive system healthy and ensure a longer happier life!

I don’t give my rabbit any pellets. From my history with them, they gravitate only to pellets. A lot of pet stores dump a truckload of pellets in the cage. They act like fiends on it. My present rabbit is doing perfect! My other rabbit passed away because he would ignore hay. No matter what I did, he was getting aggressive if he had no pellets. I spent hundreds on him at the vet and he still died. When I got my new one, I was blessed to have one that loves being picked up! He’s very social! I only buy her hay and veggies!

I give my🐰🐰 free roamers veggies for breakfast lunch and dinner and sometimes spoil them with additional treats too. Their vet is happy with their health so... Why not?😁
I find that spending time with them is the hardest part for me, just because I can be with them for hours and they might only choose to interact with me for about ten minutes during that time! They have each other so it seems they don't really desire my company much 😢 I'm only the hand that feeds them it seems. But I still adore them 🥰😍

I have 4 rabbits, two are bonded and the other two live separately. They get pellets, water and hay in the morning and hay and water at night. The bonded are in a 6ft by 8ft cage and I don’t let them out since they have a really large space to play in. One is in a xl dog crate with a level, he doesn’t like to come out. Should I bring him out?? My last rabbit lives in a large closet under my set of stairs near my bedroom. Hey Abby I got 2 bunnies 2 days ago and one of my rabbits whenever I pet her, she almost sounds like she is grumbling. I don't know if it is because i am new or if it is because she doesn't like getting pet. What do you think. Should I try petting her more so she gets used to it or stop so she doesn't not like me?
