I know, right! I live in the US and I just saw the movie. Bought the CDs. I'm a guitarist and the other night I was coming home from playing and put in Cold Fact (for the first time) for the ride home. I sat in my driveway until 2am (I had to be up for work at 6 for my real job) to listen to the rest of the album. I could have gone inside and put it in, but I was so transfixed that I didn't want to interrupt it even for a second... It is one of the best albums I've ever heard...
Rest in Peace, Mr. Rodriguez. You've been a prominent musician, the most normal and the best labourer and one of the greatest wise men. You and your musics are the friends for the poors, those who suffer, and thoes who seek for better world.

Beautiful version!! I like that he's using a guitar that has a deeper sound too. I think it suites his voice better then the guitar I've seen him using in other videos. Amazing song!
Wow! What an amazing story!---It proves real talent cannot be hidden, suppressed, oppressed,etc. Unfortunately, a few other great talents suffered the same fate and worse. I was moved by his decency, humility and perspective on life. His music, better yet, his message is of greatness,healing and love.

Saw him perform at Jersey Folklore a couple of weeks ago, along with Joan Armatrading, Van Morrison and Ray Davies, but it was his performance that really moved me. I'd not heard of him before but I'm now hooked on the Sugarman. Hope the film does well and the record sales follow.
