When I lived in the Florida Keys I had a ton of scorpions in my house - one night I woke up from a dead sleep to feel something on my face. I could tell it was a scorpion; I tried to swat it off me, but it stung me in the lower part of my right eyebrow near my eyelid. I killed the scorpion, and went back to bed. I woke up vomiting around 2 hours later, and my face was drooping like the Elephant Man! My eyebrow hung down to my cheek, completely covering my eye! I also had a brutal migraine, and my joints hurt so badly it was like someone was hitting all of them at the same time with a sledgehammer. OMG I was so sick! I ran over to my neighbor's house, and he took me to the hospital. I was freaking out about my face, and the doctor was like, "um, yeah, we're gonna give you a shot and you'll be better in an hour or so". I was all excited, saying, "but my face!" - the doctor was like, "yeah, we're gonna give you a shot and you'll be just fine". "BUT MY FACE!" and the doctor was moving toward the door, like, "okay, I'm gonna have the nurse give you that shot now". The nurse came in and I told her my concerns and she said, "we treat scorpion stings all the time; constantly; this shot and you'll be like new in an hour". I got home and laid down for a nap, and when I got up my symptoms were gone, and my face was normal again! But that sting made me respect scorpions, that's for sure.

My God, you are better than a barrel of monkeys! No question you did right by that frog (its soul in heaven thanks you) - sometimes ya gotta be one tough sumbeeatch to be kind. Having a certain brilliance of a logistical kind, I hit upon a likely explanation of the mystery of how that poor frog came to be trapped between the segments of metal track: the creature was likely resting near or on the track when a train was fast approaching. Rolling just before the point at which the tracks meet, obviously being the only thing with enough weight to do so, it caused the ends of the track to part for an instant during which the unfortunate frog was partly caught before being pinched by the reconnecting tracks. So there you have it - or at least something close to how it must have come to be. - compliments, your local detective. 🐸🕵♂
