I remember seeing Pudge's autographed Red Sox jersey at Salt Hill Pub in Hanover, NH. I always had a lot of respect for him as an athlete and a person.
As a kid from NH (now 32 y/o), i'm still inspired by Carlton Fisk. Carlton, if you're ever in Merrimack NH you're always welcome at my house, just show up any time day or night. Would love to hang out with you! Congrats #27... 81 Wire Road, Merrimack NH 03054
Hard to believe him and my grandfather got in a car to go try out for the red Sox together. Still have two autographed pictures signed to my family by him♥️
I grew up a Boston Red Sox fan and when I was a kid it was this era of the Red Sox I watched so seeing this video was something extra special. I was excited enough watching this video. And then seeing Luis Tiant show up and have him be the catcher to Carlton Fisk's pitch gave me goosebumps. If it wasn't for Buddy LeRoux and Haywood Sullivan he would have never left the Red Sox. He didn't want to, that was a given. So, for him to do so goes to show you what they did to him was just nothing short of deplorable. Curse you Haywood Sullivan and Buddy LeRoux!
This was awesome! Fisk is New England. But … just one observation: Did NESN not understand the significance of him holding up the “27” and posing for photographs at the base of the left-field foul line/pole? A “zoom out” at that moment would have been great, featuring both Fisk holding his number on the ground level and seeing the foul pole above the monster in the same shot. Well, anyway, overall an incredible moment!

He will ALWAYS be remembered as #72 on the White Sox to me
The Red Sox were privileged to have one Tough catcher as Carlton

How we ever let him go in Boston still eludes me.
