The P3 was introduced when I was working for Beeman at the Huntington Beach location. I think it was mid 1998 when we received the first batch of guns from Germany. Some weeks after that Hans Weihrauch Jr. came to the Beeman facility for his annual visit and while he was there, he showed the Beeman tech team (yours truly, Bill Nada & Randy Bimrose) how to disassemble and service the P3. It was a solid and accurate single stroke pistol that quickly gained popularity in the Beeman product lineup. Only the P1 was more popular during that time frame.
Thanks for the history! Do you have any recollection of any date code scheme in the serial numbers? The fellow I bought it from said he got it over 20 years ago
I'm curious if the parts and materials are the same with the only difference being that it's made in Germany. I know the P17 is a great shooter that hits way above it's weight class.

For the price difference I hope it does feel a bit better 😁
Hopefully it will give the p17 a run for his money
I'd take an old working p3 over a new p17 any day.
Walter loather barrel if I remember

The p17 is a fantastic gun! And an amazing value. But in just a couple shots I can feel and see the difference. Definitely a much deeper dive to come!
Most everything looks the same but the p3 is noticeably heavier and the trigger is just amazing
