Sonic has always been part of me since forever. I have almost all the games and watched most of the tv shows, i’m so glad this franchise is getting the love it deserves after seeing the amazing sequel movie that came out.

Sonic was doing his cameo appearance in 2012 film Wreck it ralph.
I love that now there's a good evolution for this great character, despite being new to the character (3 years), I still have played the Genesis games, and he was important to my "childhood", I have watched all the tv shows. So glad that the character is getting love with the movie sequel.
It's hard to believe anyone could've been more recognizable than Mickey Mouse, but I find it fitting that someone with the same artstyle as him would do so.
Mario was in the same position when he was at the height of his popularity.
Same goes for Bugs Bunny.

@@evanbutiforgot it's because Mickey mouse is more of an icon then a character that people care about so it's not that hard to have your character be more popular then Mickey mouse as long as kids are actively watching them and have a iconic design well that's my theory at least (a game theory)
While the Marioverse of Nintendo will always be my top favorite, Sonic is a strong, close second. And if anything, the fact that Sega was more open to outside adaptions than Nintendo is made the character more accessible to those who didn't even play his games initially. We're still getting Sonic cartoon series when Mario's last one was decades ago and not very good.

@@MaherandIbrahimsAvengers Kirby did the introducing modern conveniences for social commentary thing much better. Still, I like that better than Sonic Underground at least. That show was disappointing.
one minor correction with Sonic's inclusion in Smash Bros. is that he was actually not the first non-Nintendo guest character to be featured, he was the second. the first being Solid Snake. Sonic's inclusion was actually a decision late in development that caused the game to be delayed a few months so he could be programed in.
But overall I really liked this Cartoon/Pop Culture Evolution. you touched on some media of sonic I didn't even know about. Great job overall!

My favorite Sonic game is Sonic Generations. As far as the television content, it’s always been a tie between Sat-AM and Sonic X, though Sonic Boom has some genuinely hilarious moments and I appreciate how tongue-in-cheek and self aware it got in season 2.
I especially enjoyed the fourth wall breaks the characters do during the show's run, the fourth wall breaks became so funny that they made it a running gag in the series that nobody could not watch without laughing at the best comedic moments, including the AOSTH reference in one episode where Eggman says "Pingas" as he says "snooping as usual I see?" to Sonic.

SEIZE THEM!" as Mike Pollock probably thought that he would make a reference to a meme from Adventures Of Sonic the Hedgehog, from the episode "Boogey Mania," where Robotnik says "SnooPING AS usual I see?"

Out of the crossovers I've seen I didn't enjoy it I think the family guy Simpsons crossover was better than that crossover

There was also an 8 bit version of the original Sonic the Hedgehog game that debuted the same year as it's 16 bit counterpart. That version was also for the Master System and Game Gear. Which that appeared to be the final Master System game released in North America.
Im in my mid 20s and Sonic The Hedgehog has been apart of my life pretty much and I don't think I will ever get tired of him. Here is to more in the future. Gotta Go Fast.

Sonic X was my 2nd favourite TV show growing up (just behind Pokemon). Its a shame not many people seem to talk about it.

One thing to note is that when creating sonic they came up with some other ideas like a bunny that could grab stuff with his ears. This was shelved so they could focus on finding a good mascot but was later tooken off the shelf and turned into the game Ristar. You play as a stare with stretchy arms who is way slower than sonic but way easier to control.
I definitely would like to see a sequel/reboot to it.
The performance of the movie has gone up from critics and the fans all loved it! So happy with it!

Yeah I feel like since they made Sonic Fronteirs I feel like they’ll fix the character developments and maybe give them new models while following the original character designs, although they did redesign the four main characters for Sonic Boom but failed.
Sonic and Mario are both some of my most favorite video game franchises. It’s so sweet to see that years after they jabbed at each other, that they got to star in several games together.

Sonic has always been my favorite character in any and all media, and I’m super stoked about these new movies. I have to say that Sonic adventure 1 and 2 are not only my favorite Sonic games, but my favorite video games period.

My childhood has finally got his evolution
A really amazing pop culture evolution on Sonic the Hedgehog I may never play one of the games but however I do remember watching Sonic Boom back in 2015 on Boomerang along with other shows at the time like Shaun the Sheep, be cool Scooby-Doo, The Garfield Show, and even a few episodes of DreamWorks Train Your Dragon. I did see the first trailer and I was excited and looking the criticism on Sonic's original CGI realistic design I can understand where they're coming from I personally like the final design better and the Sonic the Hedgehog movie from 2020 is absolutely great same goes to Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and I do remember seeing one episode on Sonic X back in mid or late 2021. It's amazing that Sonic the Hedgehog has been around over 30 years and still continuing to this day.

You Forgot That When Sonic Was Redesigned For the First Movie The Visual Effect Studio Behind Sonic's Redesign Was Shut Down So They Brought a New Studio For the Sequel

You know that Snake from Metal Gear Solid was the first third-party character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Sonic followed soon after.

I loved this video! It was almost 40 minutes but I wanted to point out SegaSonic the Hedgehog (1993). It was an arcade game that allowed up to three players, and each character was controlled by spinning a trackball. Released only in arcades, this was the first time Sonic would appear in an isometric style. The other characters you could play as were Ray the Flying Squirrel and Mighty the Armadillo. They would not be seen again until Sonic Mania in 2017 in the form of "Missing" posters in select levels, but were later added in with the Sonic Mania Plus DLC as fully playable characters. I know the video focuses on Sonic, but I like to share this piece of the history.

Sonic is the coolest game character. He is funny, charismatic, awesome and incredibly fast.

Yes, there'll be one in a few days. Doing my best to make it short and concise - touching on the series / movies and only the major games.
Cool fact: the bunny concept art of Sonic (the one that got scrapped due to technological restraints) was revisited with the later genesis character Ristar, a character similarly designed to Sonic that could use his stretchy arms to pick up enemies, objects, swing on poles and climb walls.

Sonic is one of my past memories that I ever played games on my Nintendo GameCube before lost it forever. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is one of those games I've gotten one as my first game to remember; even if before knowing their past games though. Since then, I do enjoy Sonic X anime in some episodes for fun.
I remember how confusing having the 2 Sonic tv shows airing simultaneously was for me as a kid. 'Cause I only liked one of them! 😆I really loved the action-oriented Sonic the Hedgehog series with Princess Sally Acorn (I still remember the theme song) but, I hated the more slapstick Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. In the local TV guides, they just listed both of the series as Sonic the Hedgehog so, every time I tried to watch it, I'd always cross my fingers that it would actually be the version of the show that I liked (obviously, I was like 7 years old so I never remembered which channel which version lived on). And I'd always be so disappointed when it was the wrong one! 🤣(I loved the Sonic comic books too! 😁)
And you, actually, forgot to mention that you could also hook Sonic 2 into the Sonic and Knuckles game, as well (though the video kinda implied it). If you did that, you could play through all of Sonic 2 as Knuckles! 😊

I was born in 93 and through out my Childhood watched Aosth. And SatAM.
Then my mind finally realised that the Blue Hedgehog I've seen on Game boxes was the same one I loved on TV...

I don't even believe the film has a mixed reception as fans and audience are giving it positive reviews... It's just the snobbish critics who just doesn't understand Sonic that's giving it the negative reviews.
Heck one of the reviews said a few homophobic slurs and insults saying Sonic and Tails are in a romantic relationship...(Trying to force their views to the extremist, believing two boys can't hug each other) This shows you can't take anything of what their saying seriously.
The film was legitimately amazing, as a person who've waited for a live action Sonic the Hedgehog film since SA2 this movie captures the very spirit, heart and essence of those older 3D titles.

I agree, the movie was fantastic. However, the fact that audiences and critics largely disagreed on the movie is the definition of a “mixed” reception.

I always liked sonic, things coming full circle now as i myself was blown away by sonic 2 as a young kid, now i hope to blow my nephews mind with sonic 2 the movie (since I've previously introduced him to the classics, he enjoys playing team racing) we will see how things go on from there but im just happy that sonic is relevant again and that i can talk with others about it, even tho I'm more of my own local sonic lore master i do enjoy to hear others perspectives and views on sonic 😄
My daughter Rheilly (her name is pronounced as "Riley") used to watch AOSTH and Satam when she was a little girl.
I've been a fan of Sonic since I first played the first Sonic Adventure during the time my Dad was in the furniture rent-to-own business they had a Dreamcast with Sonic Adventure with it. The other perpetrators of my rise to Sonic fandom was the OVA movie, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic X, and Paramount's Sonic movies. Since then Sonic became a part of my life as a pop culture fanatic.

I enjoy this video of sonic because I'm a sonic fan so I love the first sonic the hedgehog game and the series adventures of sonic the hedgehog was funny and wonderful so I can't wait for more of sonic in the future!
