Trevor was saying some dodgy stuff on talksport for a while before he was sacked he was quite argumentative too. I used to like the guy but he was coming across as a bitter person with life in general. I didn’t know he was convicted of racism but now I do it kinda makes sense he hates too much in life. While I disagree with some of Trevor's general points he made while on talksport (he does seem rather naive in some of the points he made), I do sympathise with him on the reason he was let go. You can't say anything these days, however mild, without being threatened. The tweet was never a sackable offence, however one may think of how in bad taste it might have been. But hopefully it woke him up to how corrupt the mainstream media are in this country

It was a valid question, I didn’t mourn the queen myself but mourned or the symbol she represented but I mourned a kind figure who I grew up with. However, the timing was not good. Should have waited or worded it differently. ‘How are black and brown people feeling…’ or ‘are black and brown people mourning…’ there were different ways to approach it.

What a strange interview:
1. Sinclair doubles down on his position with no remorse for his poor timing. Some interesting points but there is a time and a place. Just after the queens death is not the time to ask these questions and he shows no reflection on this. Also he was so proud of his Irish / Jamaican heritage he opted to represent the country he despises as racist.
2. This interviewer offers no probing questions or challenge to Sinclairs comments or explanation to why people found this offensive. He seems grateful to have these guests and doesn’t want to upset them with cold hard facts
Whilst I think Trev’a timing was off with his ‘question’ I do think he put his point actors very well and it’s clearly an emotional subject for him given what he and his family have experienced.
When you said what you said did you put a question mark at the end. I f not the lack of English grammar would make it a statement rather than a question.

Very fair question. England born and raised, love my country. But that does not mean legitimate questions regarding the history and cruelty of colonialism and the abhorrent racism that took part in this country (and still does to an extent) should not be asked and discussed.

Turning the death of the queen, a woman who served the country for over 70 years, as a reason to shout about racism was an absolute disgrace. He deserved to be sacked. Losing our monarch was a period of national mourning, then he comes out with that crap question? Really?? There's a time and a place for that sort of comment and that was neither the time or the place. This country gave him a hell of a good living and yet he still finds a reason to complain about it. ADR but the reason for Clarkson surviving is because he is a thousand times more popular than Trevor. Also, everything he puts out is from his own production company so there's no one to sack him. Ultimately, Trevor doesn't accept his own stupidity in tweeting an anti-monarchy message upon the death of a much-loved monarch of 70+ years. That is not the same as Clarkson's fantasies regarding Meghan Markle. Trevor goes hard on the idea that a sign reading 'No Irish, No Blacks, No Dogs' was hung on every guest house door when this simply isn't true. Racism is rightly criminalised and it is frustrating to witness its continued existence, but whilst I'm sure it had a detrimental effect on his mother's well-being it's a stretch to explain her alcoholism and premature death. It might be that it's easier for Trevor to blame society than to acknowledge that his father's absence may have played a part in her demise. Most damning of all, he attributes his sacking from the BBC to the tweet when, in fact, it was because of his arrest In November 2017 on suspicion of drink driving, common assault and criminal damage after a woman was hit by a car. The following year he was convicted of drink driving, urinating in a police car and racially abusing a police officer by calling him a 'white cunt'. Poor little Trevor.

It only took him 13 1/2 minutes to contradict himself. You at least need a reasonable memory to be a good liar. Even the most hardened criminal will seek God in their final hour, and other hypocrites will seek empathy and understanding or some other universal level of perspective change as when it suits them.
I feel bad for Trevor if I wholeheartedly accept his story as his truth. But he’s right in the academia and intelligence are separated, sadly more than just buy books and certificates.

Always seemed reasonable to me on sport, but I completely disagree with his assertion the UK was (and is, he's infering) a racist country. I'm mixed race and 10 years older than him. The vast majority of Brits, white people then, were not racist. Only a few put up signs on pubs and houses - I never saw one and only knew about them from films. Every country in the world has racists, some are very racist, eh the Arabic countries and some Asian countries, and those that are act differently. The worst are the authoritarian countries folk of authoritarian people who have strong ideas about foreigners or different races.
