My eyes glaze over whenever you start talking about creating beautiful book covers. Perhaps, it's a guy "I'd rather spar in a boxing ring" kind of thing. However, I suspect that my mentor's wife will appreciate a beautiful book for X-mas by an amazing author-so I made a pledge to your Blood Vintage Kickstarter campaign.
Thank you for your weekly podcast.

Thank you for backing! I am a powerlifting kind of woman so I understand your need to do decent exercise - but I don't find that inconsistent with beauty! Have fun :)

I like a bit of humour in a book, whatever the genre (with very few exceptions). But writing books that are pure humour will always be like Marmite, as tastes in humour differ so much.

Hi Jo! I tried the NotebookLM with an unpublished novel of mine, and it's… amazing! I asked many questions and there were some inconsistencies in the answers, that let me with doubts. Is it the IA not understanding what I wrote? Or did I fail to convey some ideas with the necessary clarity so the IA could get it right? It is not a replacement for a human editor yet, but gave me a lot to think about my novel, and I'll be revising it soon, just to be sure XD. Thanks!!!

I definitely don't recommend using generative AI as an editor - that's not what it's for :) Think of it more as a creative partner, something that will help you imagine more and create more - but it's not exact with things. I use ProWritingAid as my editing first pass, and then work with a human editor.
