As a young adult, these issues are so real. from the video, if you are suffering with addictions especially those like pornography, they are a product of a christlike hole in your life. they also grow in darkness. A key point for Emmanuel (and myself also as I struggled with this) is bringing it to light. Sharing with someone and being accountable. Also, allow Christ to fill that hole. Also, some things that happen to us, God allows so He can free us from our bondages and change our nature. So much wisdom. Addictions, particularly pornography is a struggle for most believers, yet it's seldom talked about among believers. Some sect of believers have come to accept and justified same, but it is in fact sin and we cannot tweak God's standard to suit us. It doesn't take much to open the wrong door to the enemy. In his SS1 classmates mentioned something in passing and it clicked so much that it stole 13 years from him... This is real! As believers we cannot be ignorant of the vices of the enemy. We need to hear these things first hand in church, in the light of God's word, that way we learn to defend our faith from God's perspective and epignosis and beyond merely "it is morally wrong" or "it is against my faith". It's important to encompass ourselves with the word of God and God's perspective over every situation. Sin and addictions steals our very being, and joy from us, it seeks to destroy and it does this as quickly before you catch it. Thank you so much guys for sharing. It was an 'eye opener' to hear that it took just someone mentioning the word of a website, then in your own spare time, the enemy brought it to mind... that being the first day of a 13year struggle. We thank God for His great love in delivering us from Evil. I am encouraged and will be praying. For children are also struggling with this and i mean as young as 5 (though they do not know what to call it). There's soo much easy access to pornography and more dangerous than that, common RUclips videos that are supposed to display things for children, surprisingly showing 'adult' content or rather 'SIN-SEXUAL'- Content. Thankyou for giving a point to begin praying about. That God will help us who have children or know other young or old ones.. to keep them occupied. Not allowing them to be idle.. and more than that.. that words/infomation etc that are spoken, and are then stored somewhere in the brain, will not grow roots. But be uprooted! All in Jesus name. I speak from experience and also knowing young children who are struggling (and are too from Godly homes) I trust in God and His Word to keep His children safe and deliver them from all evil, As Jesus taught us to pray.
