Great video mate. What these surveys miss when discussing partner / director pay is that it’s mostly dividends and it fluctuates massively. I work alone and my remuneration can vary 50% year on year. It’s swings and roundabouts.
A few thousand pounds more salary is a huge difference for me.... it can cover council tax increases (Birmingham's council tax is likely going to go up by 10% by April) and increasing cost of groceries.

Having owned my practice in UK tor 12 years.. This is the end. Too much stress, regulations..
I thought of doing it but I always think it’s not worth it.

My ex always said she made almost nothing as a licensed architect. Most of the time she was just touching up CAD drawings.
Takes a lot of years experience before you get anything decent really. Took me about 10 years after licence to finally design a building.
Dang! The highest paid architect is most likely an entry level salary in the US
