    What a wonderful overview. I'm quite familiar with ILMC, but the Oly is new to me and to have this overview is invaluable. Clear, concise, easy to follow. Thank you!

    Just purchased one of these, many thanks for the video!
    All the things in the Menu are quite intimidating to begin with, but it makes sense with practice and fiddling around. :)

    The om5iii is, to me, very comfortable to hold although the om1iii is one of the most comfortable cameras I've ever held. I think the om1 is more suitable for my large hand, the om5 would be perfect for my wife.

    FYI if you turn Keystone on and don't turn it off you'll drive yourself nuts trying to figure out why Eye focus is greyed out. Took me a while to figure out.

    I just got this camera and am feeling my way around it, but your video already helped me more than reading the manual. One question: there are two external features you didn't cover, and I'm just curious what they are. First, there is a tiny +/- dial on the left side of the EVF housing. Also, on the bottom of the camera, there is a seven-point sensor or contact plate (not sure of the correct terminology) just to the upper-right of the tripod mount with a peel-away rubber protector. What are both of those? Probably things I would never need, but just curious.

    Em1 mark ii and em5 markiii are all most identical how can they be hard to navigate? Maybe the finger reach? Other wise very nice

    when we adjust exposure compensation, what is the difference between exposure compensation button and the front dial?

    Thanks for an easy understanding explenation. Does the more waterproof condition, this camera has also mean that you can treat it a bit more rough, fx. just put a towel around it and then into your bagpack?

    • @Shutterbug101
      @Shutterbug101  3 года назад

      I would say it is definitely a bit more heavy duty but it still has moving components and is a computer so you want to treat it with care. One drop or impact in the right spot can break this camera, even with a towel around it.

    This is really a nice camera. I looked at it today in the camera store. Love the size, weight and feel. I'm trying to decide between this and a fugi. Both brands seem to have great quality. I'm not sure if micro 4/3rds would perform as well as aspc.

    • @Shutterbug101
      @Shutterbug101  2 года назад

      It depends on your photography! micro 4/3 will be lighter with the combination of lenses and give you more distance in a small package, while crop sensors let in more light naturally and give you more depth of field options!
      And of course with those two, the layout is a bit different too, so make sure you are happy with where the buttons and dials are!

    Can the little auto focus square, which can be moved around the screen, be adjusted in size?

    • @Shutterbug101
      @Shutterbug101  2 года назад

      While the focus square cannot be adjusted in size, the area that the square can move around can be. You can access this through the quick menu (The button with the arrow & box symbol) and access the AF Area box on the second row from the left, second row down.

      I used the camera, video and photos, for 2 hours straight and personally didn’t have any issues. I have also had no complaints from customers who have purchased this model so I should say no.

    Mark ii better package, better looks. Too much plastic this revision. Tripod mount failure common problem.

    • @ChAoS3sixO
      @ChAoS3sixO 3 года назад

      @Mike Zielinski yes, incremental upgrades & downgrades. In real world usage, the average user will not notice much difference in terms of usability and image quality, as same sensor used in mark 3 with a few software tweaks. Both cameras are good, but I'm inclined to pick the mark ii.

      @Mike Zielinski being a huge fan of olympus cameras I would have to agree :)
