Kate Baldwin is one of those sadly underrated Broadway treasures who got lost amongst the O’Haras, Benantis, Ashfords etc etc. She’s luminous on stage.

Some performers earn our entire focus, wrapping us in spiderwebs drenched in paralyzing viscous. Ms. Baldwin grabs that ceded attention, plus three drops more. She's no need to steal us or deflate those with whom she occupies a stage. No gimmick can be detected, nor is one necessary.
