Honestly the fact that there is even a 30 round mag for the scar is a gimmick in of its own. The scar17 shoots .308/7.62x51 nato. That’s a very large and heavy bullet. 20 rounds of .308 weights just under a pound. If you carry five 20 round mags (100 bullets) that’s 5 pounds of ammo. The scar17 weighs 8 pounds empty. The scar17 plus 100 rounds is 12 pounds. 12 pounds is very heavy to carry in your arms. Especially when you are already walking around with 50 pounds of gear on. So long story short, the 50 round scar mag doesn’t exist nor would you want it if it did exist. Not to mention the reliability issues of a 50 round mag. 308 is only successfully used in 20 round mags. Any bigger and there will be feeding issues.
I think the scar don’t have a better mag size for the same reason the VAL doesn’t. Would be the single best weapon on the game for close-medium if it did
