Thanks Doug - Love your stuff - Please keep it coming. I did something similar with my RC-500, but, i put the RC in between my TMP and my mixer to save the FX loop on the TMP for my Tonex (or other outboard pedals). Do you suggest using the FX loop for another reason other than being last in chain? Want to make sure I'm not missing something that would be beneficial.
@@DougBsDigitalDen Yes. I would like to leave my TMP on top of my FR12 and have foot switches on the floor that would let me turn the TMP switches on or off.
I was also involved in a TMP convo on FB about certain loopers (Sheeran Looper, for ex.) creating a shift in levels when engaged. The fix I recently found is to assign a footswitch slot specifically for the FX you are using for the looper and include parameter changes, which allows you to control levels a bit more when the looper is engaged. Hope that makes sense. Lol.
Interesting, I'll have to do some more testing with external loopers. I didn't notice any level changes, but I didn't do an A/B comparison either. Thanks!
To the question of using the trio + looper, I have one and have it in one of my external loops. One thing worthwhile to add specifically for the trio +, is that when recording to set the bass and drum parts, the pedal prefers an uneffected (guitar straight into pedal, no amp at all) in order to work the best. For this reason, for trio + set up, connect the send from a loop on the tmp to guitar input, and connect from the amp out jack to the return of the tmp. This means the trio+ doesn't add it's own cab ir (which it does from mixer out) . You need to assign a footswitch on the tmp to basically be a kill switch for all effects you have on (including amp models) other than the trio+ loop so that when you play the first set it's just guitat to trio direct, then, when bass and drums are set, switch all the effects you want on to record the guitar into the trio. I also place it at the end of the chain, unless, I want to use the looper to try out different tmp effects, then I put it first in the chain. Thanks for your video Doug! Great as aways, just wanted to add some trio+ notes!
Bonjour. 😊
I don’t want to assume I know why he did it in this case but my guess would be that you can move the fx loop up and down the effects chain in case you wanted the looper at the beginning or middle or end.
For a couple reasons - I already have my TMP connected my my mixer via XLR, and I'd have to redo the wiring and use unbalanced 1/4". I also want to be able to record a loop into my DAW, and I already have the TMP connected to my Mac Mini via USB. Basically it's easier to use the FX Loop. Thanks for watching!
Great video!! As I am also playing keyboards I plan to take the phones outs of my Keyboards and of the TMP and feed my looper (Ditto x4). The out of the looper goes as a separate stereo line to the band’s mixer. To feed more stereo ins to the Looper I use a merge patchbay allowing me to feed 5 different keyboards and the TMP all in stereo to the Looper. I could also use a small mixer but sofar this setup seems working. Looks too complex but if fixed and wired this seem to be a solution. What do you think?
RC 5 is a excellent looper and on sale at the moment for less than $200....it's a shame these newer units don't include a real looper with drums with capability to switch channels while playing the recorded loop... And saving loops...
I haven't been there in 7 years so I don't know for sure, but since they carry a lot of Fender gear I would imagine that they would have the Tone Master Pro. No idea about the Headrush.
Thanks a lot for this, Doug! We all greatly appreciate the hard work you do to keep us informed and continuously learning!
You're very welcome!
Great work

Doug, can you please do a video of how to use an external footswitch ?🙏🏻
I would like to leave my TMP on my desk 😃
Thanks
I would also like to see a video on this. Thanks Doug for all your great TMP videos!
Do you mean an external MIDI footpedal? I plan on doing a video about that probably in January 👍

Wow...just wow!
Hi Doug,
Many of us wanting to know about an external Midi Foot-switch, programming etc
Thanks from the TMP Community

I love the external looper demo, have you uploaded your setting to the cloud? I can't find it.
No, sorry
I use a boss RC 30 with mine just for the drums
Hi Doug. Thks for this new video. I wonder : why in fx loop and not directly on main out ?

That's really cool, I've never thought about using a merge patchbay to feed a looper 👍

Yeah, I think the built-in looper could definitely use some improvement!
Hi Doug can you tell me if in guitar center in Nashville they sell fender tone Master pro or avl headrush mx5 ❤❤❤❤thank you 🎸🤘🤟🤟🤟🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸🌟🌟😊😊

@DougBsDigitalDen thank you 🎸🎸❤️❤️❤️⚡⚡🎸🎸🎸⭐
Are there any loopers on the market that if you modulate in a song it will modulate along with you?? 🤔 Thanks all 😁
You mean if you modulate to a different key? Not that I know of, but that sure would be cool!
Great work
Thank you so much 😀
