I think of it like what would I feel safe with if a Gut Shot Grizzly Bear ran into an outhouse with me in there . Now for me a 454 casull. It has more power with certain loads than the hard hitting 45-70 government. You can get the 454 casull in a rifle and a pistol. Plus the 454 casull will fire the 45 long colt as well. If you pair a rossi 92 with 18inch barrel in 454 casull caliber with a 454 revolver anything alive in North America will go down . You can hunt with both rifle and revolver in either caliber 454 or 45 long colt. If you decide to go with a 44mag it will also shoot the 44 special round. I wouldn't go with a 357 mag that will also shoot 38 special rounds. My opinion is 357 would be to small of a caliber for anything that size. But it's still better than a stick

I believe they are only seasonal now, but they will be year-round very soon as they run out of room north of us. We also have quite a few mountain lion sightings in the area. One of them was less than a mile from our place this last summer, and there is a lone wolf sighted every year for the last 8 or-so years now in the same area southeast of us. The area was hunted out pretty well in the first part of the last century, but the animals are sure making a comeback!
I know this video is quite old and the situation has likely moved forward but I feel that you must know. Wolves and coyotes are known to interbreed. The offspring are called ''coywolves''. Also the same with domestic dogs and coyotes. The wolves and coyotes do this intentionally to expand the bloodlines. Coydogs and coywolves are becoming more and more bold. Coywolves especially have been found where coyotes have never been recorded to have lived. The wolf genes have made them more adaptable to severe weather. Never can tell. Keep checking with your wildlife and forestry departments to keep informed. You have a beautiful property. Best of luck.

The tree age calculator estimates it's age at 159.3 years old (sugar maple CBH of 7' 4") so it would have been around 71 years old in 1932, and yes, you can absolutely see that tree and all of the other big ones in the areal photos, and overlay them over current areal photos. The larger oaks are in the 9' circumference range and may be around 180 years old but likely a bit younger because the oaks were growing in more savanna-like conditions for part of their life. You must live around very big tree if you think that tree is little 😊 -- tree ages can be calculated here: goodcalculators.com/tree-age-calculator/

That's what a male bear is a Boar.
Correct. That's what I said.
it's only a young bear
Yes, it is. I say that in the video.
The Creature of the Great Ravine
bears walk bull legged boars walk straight legged and too much fur to be a boar love your vids.
Thanks Richard, actually boar means male, and it is used for a lot of animals including bear and pigs 😐
@@PlanetMojo That's because bears & pigs are related/same family tree along with racoons in there to !
I'm a new subscriber LOVE your content !!
@@cottonmouth71 Now that I was unaware of. Thanks cottonmouth71! 😊
In the revine it looks like a skull is laying in the center area on top of the pile of branches an leaves
That very well may be -- if you're talking about a deer skull. We find them now and again
@@PlanetMojo i just seen a skull lol
That is a black bear, not a boar.
Boar means male (female is sow). It is a black bear boar.
@@PlanetMojo 😉👍
Black Bear. For sure.
Just another thing to worry about 😕
Imagine that a bear in the woods..who knew? Lol
A bear in the woods 100 miles from where bear live. Who knew?
@@PlanetMojo lol dude just trying to make people laugh. Your property is beautiful! If I had property like that I would spend most of my time out there.
@@PlanetMojo I am def subscribing to your profile and gonna watch the rest of the videos when I have a chance. I love the woods
@@PlanetMojo here in NC on the coast I rem the first time I went hiking on my property and I walked to the creek and saw weird footprints which turned out to be a couple of gators. Imagine my surprise.
@@ivyshelnutt3823 Thanks!
I don't know were you are but I'm in St Lawrence county New York bear here for many years were almost non existent. Now they are making a huge come back. So they are looking for better surroundings. When it comes to nature the studies and reports are wishful thinking.
We are in SW Wisconsin. The DNR told us that we will soon have a population here full time. Right now they are foraging here in the spring when the pickings are scarce up north, but the populations are increasing rapidly and it is likely they will soon stay in this area for good. Just 20 years ago you had to travel a long way north to be in bear country, but not any more.
I live in hayesville NC which is in Appalachian mountains but I have freinds that live upstate ny in groton which is Tompkins county beautiful country up there
Who the heck is the Pastor?
Without watching the video again I'm guessing I said pasture? We have four horses.
Wow.that looks like the picture on another video with Bigfoot searches talking about is it a young Bigfoot or a bear !!‼️‼️‼️
since 1932 ? That little tree ?
The tree age calculator estimates it's age at 159.3 years old (sugar maple CBH of 7' 4") so it would have been around 71 years old in 1932, and yes, you can absolutely see that tree and all of the other big ones in the areal photos, and overlay them over current areal photos. The larger oaks are in the 9' circumference range and may be around 180 years old but likely a bit younger because the oaks were growing in more savanna-like conditions for part of their life. You must live around very big tree if you think that tree is little 😊 -- tree ages can be calculated here:
goodcalculators.com/tree-age-calculator/
That's a bear passing by. I know what one looks like.
Correct. I say that in the video.
And wolf removes Foxes also..
I would hate that. I kind of like the foxes 😐
Trail camera's ought t0 tune in on
some Gorrilla Monsters
Duuuuuude, just show the picture. I've got acres and acres of woods here to look at. Thanks
Must be at least one
C'est pas difficile , c'est un ours noir qui a été lâcher par quelqu'un qui devait l'avoir et qui la mis dans les bois reste un détail y a eu des recherches pour le capturer
It's a black bear moving into new territory from the north.
You could have hired a more convincing suit for your friend to wear.
Congratulations for the dumbest comment award!
Big todo about nothing🤣 in Michigan we have lived with BF for centuries. We take them for granted.
It is a Black Bear.
Bears are everywhere nowadays
I didn't see any pictures 😅
Then I guess you need to pay more attention?
Anyone else tell you there’s Sasquatch on your property too?
Its a black bear
Yes, it is.
Wow. Five whole seconds. Not a boar. Either bear or It’s a Squatchnon all fours. Had a Silverback ape sort of stance.
And you gotta talk less and more slowly.
A male bear is called a boar (females are sows). It is a young boar, and bears haven't lived in this area in about 100 years. In the future, I'll try to talk according to your needs 😊
@@PlanetMojo I am sorry, I said that harshly. You were speaking as you went along and not doing a voiceover with me directing! Old habits are embarrassing. Didn't know male bears were called boars, but know the term sow. So, if no bears for 100 yrs....Squatch?? Keep on my friend, and Happy New Year to you.
@@williamkaylor1191 Thank you Mary! It is a black bear. It looks as though they will soon be native to the area again. We are also seeing wolves move in, and last year a couple of mountain lions on neighbor's trail cams! Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! 😉
if you don't know how should i know.
I do know, and never expected you to until I told you. Pay attention Gerald...
Nice video my friend, but you should be carrying a fire arm with you in the woods, it's not safe out there in the woods
How do you know I'm not carrying a firearm?
It's a bear not a boar! You can see the nose by the front left foot that's why it's front left leg looks so think. Head down to the grass.
Boar means male. It is a male black bear which is called a boar. Females bears are called sows.
black one is a bear be careful of them baby bears mean the momma bear is just out of sight and she will attack
Agreed!
Yep,, it's a bear. ,,, Jeremy in Alabama.
Leave the PHOTO UP A LOT LONGER cuz it took so long just to get to see the photo for 2 seconds!!! JUST GET TO THE POINT. LONGWINDED.
Pause the video Ginger. You can look at it ad long as you like.
I live in Maine we have a path in the woods just like yours in the woods I found a cave I walked into the cave and found broken branches and leaves it looks like a bed I walked in further It Came Upon a female Bigfoot young teenager Bigfoot she was pregnant I've been feeding her healthy foods vitamins for the baby she lives in that cave waiting to have her baby
Why not label video a lot of talking and bear sighting instead of creature I thinking big foot sighting or dog man but your talking bear
Because it is an unexpected creature on the trail camera. We don't normally have bears in this area. During that "lot of talking" that was explained. That's how talking works.
Because that title wouldn't get many views lol its called "click baiting " ...
