Long time listene, first or second time youtube viewer! Love the Pod guys... I love the layout in this game and have yet to flip it. Have premium on order, hoping to play a pro before my premium show up to see the game sometime soon. I love Elwin games, not just innovative layouts with his approach but he also designs ruleset framework along with his layout elements and mechs... That, in my opinion makes Keith and team the top design team at Stern HANDS DOWN! I LOVE WHAT TANYO AND WAYSON DID WITH DEADPOOL!!! BUT I wasn't fully sold on Foo Fighters code and ruleset ( FOO FIGHTERS WAS A DREAM THEME) BECAUSE OF THEIR DRUMMER AND DAVE GRHOL being a Drummer (I'm a drummer who played all of their music and still do.... But it hurts they didn't get a better ruleset flushed out on that game, fun and loved the concept of old school Cartoon show. I hope they can pull this together a bit better! Lyman and Jack designs would've killed it! Miss Lyman sooo much! I csn tell Jack and team all work together on their designs to better the studio output and performance since we lost Steve Ritchie, and Dennis Nordman. Can't wait to see Keith's next masterpiece but Borg will be up next before Keith and then Brian Eddy.

@Mugen_4_lifeKRXR thanks for the long time support! We appreciate it. That's awesome you have a premium on order. Based off Scott's experience, I think you'll be happy with it. We agree Elwin is awesome and we miss Lyman too.

Guys - it would help if you put up pics of what your talking about during each discussion. Otherwise - decent show.

I like the idea of making LE’s first. Let the ones who pay the most, get their machines first. Then on down the line… premium then pro. Once it gets to locations (Prem or pro) then people waiting to play can test and then buy. Nothing wrong with that order.

@RafConUSMC i don't disagree with you. I think it's totally fine LE buyers get their games first

I like le, then pros for locations

@tyarnold4088 Agreed - you have to get it out there, into the public sphere, while the hype is still going. If locations don't have the last game before the next cornerstone is released....problems ensue.

Callouts/music are so big in a pinball. Who leads on writing and choreographing the callouts? I didn't hear any good one liners in X-men - nothing really made giggle like I love in Deadpool, JP, Godzilla, MM, Monster Bash, heck even Jaws etc. Jack needs to be careful with over use of an overbearing/borderline annoying main voice too - the Foo Bot, Sentinal, Wolverine, Gambit... I decided that I don't like getting a play by play or being told what to do constantly by a robot or a cowboy doll (Toy Story 4). It is definitely possible to have too many callouts...
I think simple code like Deadpool is something we need more of. Kids and newer players are completely lost on what to do in any Elwin game, even though they are my favorite.

@colemangreen4191 so the team writes up a script for the voice actors. In some instances, the designer and sound guy go record a specific person for the call outs. Like with Jaws, Keith Elwin and Jody Dankberg went and recorded lines with Richard Dreyfus. They were able to coach him and give perspective on how they wanted it to sound. When you have a bunch of voice actors like this, I'm not sure if Jack and whoever get to go coach them or if they just send the script off and hope for the best.
As far as code, I think it's a double-edged sword. Deadpool did great, but other simple code sets haven't been as fortunate. If it's too simple, people dont see the value in it for their collection at the price NiB is commanding. But you don't want to make it too complex, or people will be turned off

Great content t as usual guys. Appreciate your efforts. I am going to call bullshit though on these lines Stern repeatedly feeds us to excuse piss poor code on release. These game release changes they claim is just nonsense. Wick code is still bad, bond took forever, ST took forever, jaws was average but not great, now they are again claiming the game was pushed forward. Cmon guys don't swallow that pill they keep giving us.
Stern have been doing this for years. It's the same as the "this is a prototype" line they use on streams when shit goes wrong. Anyway thanks again for the content.

@johneldridge1345 i don't blame you there and I think you point is valid in some aspects. Did you check out the most recent episode of Flip N Out with Joel Engelberth and Keith Elwin? Elwin talked about Iron Maiden being released pretty much at 1.0. He said it was hard for any wiggle room afterwards. I agree code should be farther along and more balanced on release but I think it's fine for the code to grow with the community as well.

@loserkidpinball it can be rewarding to own a game then get a fresh outlook with it on new code updates, however the price for these things we really should be getting near complete games on purchase. Thanks for your podcast. While I disagree with some of your takes, your podcast is free entertainment for the community. Some people forget that.
