If you post educational videos please make sure you verify your content. What you call a left hand tool is in fact a right hand tool

2nd video i saw in 5 minutes that mentioned wrong hand tool in case you dont know you look at the tool from the front to determine the hand

Sorry to say & not trying to be condescending but the way to determine if the tool is right hand or left hand would be to put the tool on a table facing you if the tip of the tool turns to the right it's a right hand tool & vice versa

Hi, Sorry to say but you mention LH and RH tool wrongly.Actually you need to hold the tool point facing up & towards you and check for cutting edge, if it is on Right hand side then its RH side tool and if it is going on LH side then it is LH tool

I have been given a lathe and as I have never used one before your video was exactly what I was looking for as I had got myself confused as to what right and left hand cutters meant!

you confused left and right hand cutting tools like most people got left and right hand fleming's rule wrong.
left and right hand cutting tools of a lathe machine are not indicated by where the sharp edge is located; it's basically the hand a machinist, so to speak, is comfortable of using to move the carriage which holds the cutter. if you're feeding the cutter toward the left onto the workpiece, then you might use your right hand to spin the handwheel of the carriage. And vice-versa.

I like the two colors on the tooling, one for left hand and another for right hand.

You might want to post videos on griding lathe tools, knurling, and centering your work in 3 and 4 jaw chucks, and also how to use dial indicators on the lathe.

Nice videos, but fundamentally WRONG on the ID of the tools. They appear to be 1/2" tools, so the first shown would be an AR8 (right handed), the "blue" one would be an AL8 (left handed) tool.
