08:00 its also like that in the Elder Scrolls and Fallout games, like: "this looks like its gona be hard, let me quicksave, *quicksaves* *dies* *respawn at save* and then you're like "good thing i saved!"
Good luck beating this game because every few actually have, and everybody reviewed this game without finishing the game. Anybody has beaten said it SUCKED! Phil is not alone on this shit.
@darkaddict18 Just to clarify that: What you hear from Phil is nothing more than his personal experiences with that game. So in fact there is the possbility that you might actually enjoy it.
It sucks you couldn't complete it Phil because I was kinda interested in the story and wanted to see what happened at the end but I watched the entire playthrough and was entertained so thanks for that! :)
Quick question for my fellow gamers and Dsp. I have a XBOX 360 and a PS3 - Unfortunately my Xbox Has broken down :( I'm thinking about buying another Xbox but is it worth buying another when the Xbox 720 is coming out next year? Should I just wait for 720? let me know what you guys think. Cheers Chris.
q.u.b.e is only $15 and is an amazing game he should play that. it's a indie puzzle game and i love it. its kinda short being about 3-4 hours depending on how fast you do the puzzles
@delta2ish Somewhat, yes, but I DO understand why people hate it. The gameplay does seem rather ridiculous in some aspect, even frustrating. The game does have a lot to be desired and would have been a solid game if a few corrections were made. Other than that, I kinda like the game so far from a viewing point, but I can see why people are so heated about it.
This game makes me think of another survivor horror title called Vamripe Rain, which at its core also had a good idea and potentially interesting dark atmosphere. But the execution turned out to be so broken and unpolished and the gameplay was brutally unforgiving towards the player. Some people defended that game by calling it challenging. In this case people who are defending Amy are developers but what they are really trying to do is to cover up the giant cracks and holes in their product.
I like this game but i would never "green light it" to my friends or other people. Its trial and error, and error, and error. Requires high amounts of patience, I finished the game, btw chapter 6! Starts with you running out of and elevator with a small amount of time in a large unknown area to find a defibrillator hide Amy, setup the defibrillator, find enough injections to cure yourself for the repetitive actions you must take to beat the boss. YES ITS A BOSS BATTLE! Took me 2 hours on hard.
Most likely what happened is this game was being developed while trying to find a publisher. They couldn't find a publisher, so they probably just stopped polishing the game and just sent it as a downloadable for $10. That's the only logic I can think of for such a horrible game.
This game is NOT that bad considering the fact that it's an indie game. It certainly isn't 2/10. Sure the storyline isn't original and neither is the gameplay but it's enjoyable enough that it makes you want to continue. SOME people are just jumping on a bandwagon and not forming their own opinions.
@delta2ish I just thought it was a mix of Resident Evil, Haunting Ground, and Death By Degrees. And yes to the other person, I had seen the playthrough; it was just hard to find one without commentary, you know one without the annoyance known as the constant f-bombs.
Hilarious review Phil. I am glad you played this game because I was curious about it. Now I see it for the dog turd it is. Its a shame too because the game had some promise. It does use a tired concept but it was trying to include some new ideas too it with the character of Amy who heals you of infection and has crazy abilities. Whatever happened in the development process to turn it into a mound of shit is beyond me, but thats what it is. I hope they at least patch the 5th chapter, doubtful.
@Snyperwolf91 Like I said, the story nor the controls are reinvention of the wheel BUT it's interesting. The reason why Phil wasn't able to get past the part of the game he quit on is because he has no patience. I've seen other people do playthroughs/walkthroughs of this game (and finished it) and enjoyed it. It's simply a matter of opinion. But people who haven't even played the game, much less finish it, are basing their opinions off of bias. The game isn't a masterpiece but it's not horrible.
Great Hateful Truth! As horrible as this games is, I think you should've given it a 2.5, the .5 extra points because of the concept behind it. Also, you never played the multiplayer of Conduit 2 or the co-op, so it wasn't fair for you to judge it just based of its campaign.
I'd like to think that they will put time and effort to improve the upcoming PC port. They could solve the checkpoint issue, framerate, combat system - all the major flaws of the game that make it so uplayable right now. This probably can't be fixed by a mere patch, but if given a proper attention to fixing all the bugs and poor programming - they could really turn it into a decent budget title. However seeing the approach they took towards critisism, I wouldn't expect a whole of a lot.
yes but atleast in those aaa games they don't manipulate the camera to show you something cool, or put filter effects on the video to make it look prettier. After rewatching the amy trailer, it just felt like the DNF trailers. Different camera angles and cut up like hell. And you know what was funny? It's not just cut to show you a compilation of awesome things, the trailer is cut so that when something "shit" would happen(like low fps or other stuff), they just do a transition to something else
This game could be great. I liked the relationship between Lana and Amy, like Chuck Greene and his daughter... Katy? If the characters were easyier to move, better combat maybe, more storytelling. Amy should have small break downs giving us hints about her story. Lana was a organic surrogate mother for Amy, personnaly I liked Amy and Lana better the Katy and Chuck. Shame this game failed, could have been so great.
@seibertron500 it was copyrighted music, and he couldn't have footage from the game either because of copyright reasons. I think it's balls personally.
The game was most likely still in beta stage, and when the development team couldn't find a publisher, they washed their hands of it and sent out the door half-finished. Shame they wasted a great concept with idiotic gameplay, stability issues and random genre switches.
I love how he's so full of anger for 20mins then just goes at the end ''Well thank you and goodbye'' lol
Lmao, every time Phil rages in the end he goes completely bi-polar and just turns nice "Ok well that was the Hateful Truth! hoped you loved it!"
The developers of Amy just simultaneously fell on their swords.
''A dead bloated zombie floating down a river of feces''. Describes what I've heard/seen of this game completely.
Survival Horror didn't mean the gameplay. It means survive the horror that is AMY the game!
DSP in 2025: Going back to finish the game that beat him...Amy
Almost there
08:00 its also like that in the Elder Scrolls and Fallout games, like: "this looks like its gona be hard, let me quicksave, *quicksaves* *dies* *respawn at save* and then you're like "good thing i saved!"
dsp should be a professional game consultant/tester
I thought Ninja Gaiden 2's checkpoint system would have scarred you to life, but admittedly Amy overdid itself here : )
"So I have to put that into perspective, said PHIL. Followed by a super long sip from his mug.
Your wrong Phil, Amy was the most innovative and creative masterpiece I've ever seen!! yeah not really I'm so sorry you spent money on this joke
At the end of this video,I was clapping in agreement.
Good luck beating this game because every few actually have, and everybody reviewed this game without finishing the game.
Anybody has beaten said it SUCKED! Phil is not alone on this shit.
Near the end of the video Phil becomes just like AngryJoe
@darkaddict18 Just to clarify that: What you hear from Phil is nothing more than his personal experiences with that game. So in fact there is the possbility that you might actually enjoy it.
Lmao!! I love the endings to Phil's hateful truth videos. Too funny.
I love reading the descriptions of these Hateful Truth vids
7:37 for dsp practicing his best Carlos Mencia impression
Found out about you kind of late DSP, but your playthrough's and thoughts are great . Thanks
That blanka t-shirt is amazing
Whats the part that Phill is talking about when a monster chases him and then he hides in a cabinet and the monster stares at a wall?
I'm 11 years late but this is the part 9:51
It sucks you couldn't complete it Phil because I was kinda interested in the story and wanted to see what happened at the end but I watched the entire playthrough and was entertained so thanks for that! :)
I can only imagine how it would be on the "Hard" difficulty.
Quick question for my fellow gamers and Dsp.

Chris.
21:27 BEST hateful truth ending lol
Lead Level Designer - Paul Cuisset
Level Designer - Olivier "Daff" Lochey
After watching this review, I can't wait to see his playthrough haha
One of the best Hateful Truth videos I've ever seen lol!
I laughed so hard when you imitated Marcello.
whats the first game released in 2012?
everything after 20:35 is brilliant :D great review!
The end was hillarious hahahha with the hermits
"The Epitome of Ass and Assholishness" = Lmfao!!
Wow,that had me rolling.
The best thing to come out of this game was probably this review, I was laughing all the way through.
q.u.b.e is only $15 and is an amazing game he should play that. it's a indie puzzle game and i love it. its kinda short being about 3-4 hours depending on how fast you do the puzzles
19:00 should reach DSP's funniest moments of 2012 !!!!
Checkpoints are a thing of the 2000s.
WHEN DSP GETS ANGRY ABOUT BAD GAMES ? IT CURES SADNESS AND CRYING !
Also Phil you almost agreed(just you gave it a .5 more) with Colin on El Shaddai
If this game was retail and got a higher development value, and assuming the problems were fixed, would it be worth the retail price ?
This game makes me think of another survivor horror title called Vamripe Rain,
which at its core also had a good idea and potentially interesting dark atmosphere.

So what are the pros of Amy?
contender for the project 7 game?
i can't find this games ending anywhere
This game has made me realize there is life sign on earth..
Phil, what would you rather play: Amy or Darksouls.
07:16 Phil you have a nice shimmy lmaoo
0:00
You can tell he's pissed.
I LOVED this Hateful Truth, I started crying I was laughing so hard.
Love you Phil! XD
"If I payed $60 for this game, I'd probably wanna kill the game developers." lol!
this is one of the funniest hateful truths so far
I love the ending of DSP... :DDD
I like this game but i would never "green light it" to my friends or other people. Its trial and error, and error, and error. Requires high amounts of patience, I finished the game, btw chapter 6! @thatmoderndaywarrior the old hateful truths had intros. idk why he removed it since.
this was very entertaining to watch
We should all send this video to the developers and make them cry!!!!
The best thing about this game is the Launch Trailer :D
Starting off the year on a good note.
Did you ever announce anything on the Jurassic park game? I really wanted to see you play that game.
Most likely what happened is this game was being developed while trying to find a publisher. They couldn't find a publisher, so they probably just stopped polishing the game and just sent it as a downloadable for $10. That's the only logic I can think of for such a horrible game.
Have you ever heard of Bubsy? Conduit and Amy can join him in the hall of gaming shame.
so u liked it?
Nice review and and nice hat bro!

This was the funniest video I've watched in a while

60 people are the game developers of Amy
What a great way to start 2012...
How was it?
I hope I Am Alive won't be like this. That game has been in development for years as well.
@Snyperwolf91 Like I said, the story nor the controls are reinvention of the wheel BUT it's interesting. Guys this game was mad from French video game developer... you all know they don't make good games, well some.
There is a video on RUclips of someone playing chapter 6...
Great Hateful Truth! As horrible as this games is, I think you should've given it a 2.5, the .5 extra points because of the concept behind it.
Also, you never played the multiplayer of Conduit 2 or the co-op, so it wasn't fair for you to judge it just based of its campaign.
Why does Phil's shadow look like a spider?
I'd like to think that they will put time and effort to improve the upcoming PC port.

would be cool to see half life or half life 2 original story playthroughs by DSP Legendary FPS games
Apparently only 3 people have beaten the game on PS3.
thanks dsp for your thoughts thank god i didnt pay $13 for this game but it is enjoyable to about chapter 3.
rofl this is in the countdown for the funniest videos of 2012

13:07 "Rosh wince and repeat" lol He is super mad you can tell.
I better enjoyed this Hateful Truth review than the entire gameplay. LOL :)
I've done looking around PSN.
"AMY" is not on Playstation Network... guess after the PSN hacking incident they really did improve their SECURITY.
im surprised this game got approved
a Hateful Truth is not enough for this game
@almellora It's not the one i wanted, I couldn't quite figure out how to point out his stupidity in the format I was looking to do it in.
good review! tell it how it is, thats what I like to see :)
Phil is funny if he does a bellydance-like gesture LOL.
actually, the combats more reminiscent of the original silent hill game.
The last 2 minutes are pure gold
And to think they want to make an Amy 2? I think Phil would stab himself, lmao
wait till Phil plays POSTAL3... YEAH POSTAL3. UWE BOLL is a special guest in the game
I can't stop watching this review, it's so hilarious :D
you should have put it on easy.
@seibertron500 it was copyrighted music, and he couldn't have footage from the game either because of copyright reasons. I think it's balls personally.
