Also, the Bane 3 is the most terrifying mech in Alpha Strike. Why? Three words: Indirect Fire Seven. Give it a Skill 0 pilot, make it sit behind a building in your starting zone, pair it with a TAG lance, and it'll one-shot most units in the game.

Heck with advanced rules, you could flip the arms and use torso twist to bring tubes to bear in opposing directions while enemies try to encircle you. Edit: Never mind, it really is all arm mounted
My favorite configuration of my favorite battlemech. 16 salvos, and each salvo is a literal ton of LRM ammo. Want variant ammo? Plenty of room and tonnage for it. Got a spotter with TAG or NARC? Send out the little guy to make sure the enemy is properly pinpointed for indirect fire. Want to bombard grid squares? Swarm Ammo. Trying to area deny? Thunder LRM. All that's wrong is that stupid little Streak SRM 4 one shot. Replace that nonsense with a pair of ERML and a Flamer. Now you have some close quarter systems that don't require ammo. If you're really worried about infantry or battle armor, two SPL and a flamer. If you need accuracy, an MPL and flamer. But this is the configuration truly worthy of the name, KRAKEN. It's also the anchor of my dream fire support star. 2 Kraken 3's, 2 Bull Sharks with full access to clan tech, and clan tech Raven to spot.

This series is awesome. Short, only business and really gives you the feel of the game. Specifically this series was the final push I needed to get into this system

Check out the other Bane configs. Most are fire support, but the 2 or 3 brawlers are things of vibrant hatred for whatever poor opponents stumble into optimal range. The Brawlers being 2, 4, and maybe 7.
The appeal of this Kraken variant in a nutshell. You blot out the sky with contrails and smoke. You rain fury down upon your enemies with swarm after swarm after swarm....
Option C: Spicy Long Range Noodles delivered to every hex with woodland creatures. Option D) Long Range Noodles that leave leftovers. Preferably the Augmented flavor. All those carbs go straight to a mech's thighs, rather than 5 point groups spread around the body.
The Turkina Z is a lesser mech for long range volume of fire. But if you're talking about standard or hi-ex ammo instead of extended, then it gets real scary for total output. Also, iATM adds streak capability to ATM while retaining indirect fire. Also adds mag pulse and inferno ammo variants.
For the Lols try taking a Bane against eight Commando 1C (single AC2 variant) or against four BJ-1. You'll quickly discover the bane doesn't have nearly enough ammo for its UAC2s.
It's not an omnimech though. Which means you can resize the engine and armor amounts. Now if only it had an AA quirk to really put the fear of dakka into VTOL's and ASF.
@@bthsr7113 Indeed, you are correct! It also means you can mount Endo steel and FF. My variant mounts the ten UAC2s and TEN tons of ammo for them. The backup weapons are three ER small lasers. 12 DHS. Same max armor, same 300XL engine. BV 2052 with one ton of ammo in the head.
@@bthsr7113 It depends? Whatever equipment you stick in the head can't be taken away from you no matter how much battle damage a mech sustains. So a number of mech's take advantage of that to put a close range "hold out" weapon there. Which is a fine choice. Same principle with the CT, just to a lesser degree. This mech mounts an ER small in the CT, and one in each arm, with the "hold out" slot in the head going to ammo for the guns. Whether it's better or not depends on how you, personally, value different pieces of equipment on a specific mech. Oh, and how you evaluate risk. Putting a ton of ammo in the head reduces the risk of an ammo explosion _from enemy fire_ but increases the _severity_ of an ammo explosion from, say, heat effects. (Also, the UAC2s are split between the torsos and arms, with ammo in the side torsos. Again, this is just personal preference but with so much weight devoted to a single type of weapon system I want to always be able to fire it. Head ammo is there for you in the unlikely event that you fire all the ammo in the RT, then the left torso explodes.)
All the Bane models are.... (looks at Bane 5 and 6) Most of the Bane models are problematic to deal with. Nothing like getting shot 20 times from across the map every turn. To delete your friendships irl, Pair these up with a Turkina Z (iATM12 x4) that does 144 damage using high explosive missles per turn and fire streak style (all missles hit if you make the attack roll).
The II in IIC is the roman numeral for 2, thus it's pronounced '2C', meaning 'Second Generation Clan' mech. (Also, before you might ask, the First Gen versions are the 'C' variants of Inner sphere mechs, as they were Star League mechs refitted with Clan weapons.)

I did when I first started before I learned that it’s II as in 2/second version, and C for Clan-made.

Option E: Manicotti filled with angel hair, so the entire table gets carbs distributed.
This is the first Ive ever seen of this game or channel also nice video style for a table top game.
You can run this thing with an Arctic Wolf and get a +2 on all cluster rolls thanks to the Narc beacon.

used the base bane in a game its fairly cheap for a clan mech but definitely needs something to open up armor for it probably going to try the 3 next

Pro tip use slyphs as spotters. No AMM for spotting and you almost always get into LOS

Note: clan rear lines can be cheap and great. Get a Clint IIC. It’s 40 tons of what people want from a 40 tonner.
