In these cases, whatever she has on Passport just go ahead with that plus you can attach a letter explaining the name difference in your documents.

came across your video on my homepage and this was so helpful. I do have a simple question tho, can I invite just my mom if I've been in Canada for only 7/8 months? This confusion is mainly due to ppl saying that you have to stay in Canada for a certain amount of time e.g. years to be able to invite your parents. Thank you. First of all you need to understand that there is nothing written on anywhere on website that you cannot apply for visa soon. So you should be good to some for visitor VISA and host your parents without any issues. One example is one of my friend invited his parents just after 3 months of landing in canada. Best of luck

If you have US visa, getting Canadian visa is breeze as you qualify for CAN+. No need to show any funds or anything. In 2022, my parents received PPR within 3 days of biometrics for Canada due to their US visa. Even to renew US visa, you just need to submit visa application and just send passport. No need to show invite letter or funds, and visa is approved within 1 or 2 days.

Invitation letter has a separate spot but other documents can go to purpose of travel

I think you have missed some crucial details. You didn't specify whether you completed this application by PAPER or through ONLINE PORTAL. You mentioned you have completed IMM 5645e, however, when searching on Canada's website, the document says IMM 5707. So is it 5645 or 5707? Lastly, you mentioned you submitted two Family Information Forms. Is two required? or one is enough?
Hey bro thanks for the information. I have a question regarding the representative form the form I come across while applying visitor visa for mom is imm5476e and the one you mentioned is imm5713e. Which one should I go for? I am applying online for parents visitor visa at ircc portal which they launched it recently and earlier everyone was using the gckey portal which I also did it initially and come across ircc portal and one more things is that when applying through the gckey it does requests for the flight tickets but not requesting in ircc portal.
If the new portal shows imm5476e then go for that one

I am work permit holder in Canada and my father is in India and he has no travel history but he have two properties under my mom name.
I want to apply parents visa for my dad. My father is a small business owner of footwear. My father does not have a business registration and Current account, but my father do fill the ITR every year. I am confused that what should I put in business registration. Following are my questions.
1. Should I consider my dad as self-employed and get an letter from Charted Accountant stating the income and occupation ?
2. If I consider Him as self-employed. Is this still considered as business ?
3. Should I put occupation as Business owner or self-employed in IMM5257e?

Hi
I would say you should make your mom as primary applicant as that would be easy to show and then dad as secondary applicant. By doing that you can guarantee visa officer that something is owned. If you wanna create a CA report that would be amazing. As you said ITR is filed so dad can go as business owners. I hope this helps.

Hey I have question, my parents don’t have marriage certificate and when I am applying for their visitor visa extension, they are asking me to attach marriage certificate, is there anything else can be done in this case? Can I submit two separate applications instead.
You can try with two different applications, but I would recommend if they have already reviewed the application and asking for the marriage certificate then they would ask the same even if you do summit two different applications, but you can always try another thing what you can do as in India marriage certificates are built very easily, so try there and get it if you can that would be the best bet You can do for now.

Just a quick question, I actually forgot submitting the ‘Document Checklist Form IMM5484 & Authority to release info form IMM5475) in the applications, does it matter coz I checked their site, it says these must be submitted.
I have filled all the forms that you have mentioned and have added all relevant docs too.
As per my experience if you have provided all the relevant and supporting documents you should be all good

Till the expiry date of passport. I would recommend making new one and then re applying

Hey Neeraj, thanks for the video its very useful as its from a recent experience is much useful from some outdated infos..... I have a ques for you on "Supporting Documents" section. when applying for parents they listed all required documents, some i believe shouldnt apply to them. i.e. "Marriage License/Certificate"..... when applying online as an applicant (for parent, on their behalf of course) they ask for Marriage License/Certificate.... should i be providing it too. I`m not sure if its even available now after 30+yrs lolz.

The Birth Certificate of the parents is required for Canadian visitors if can not get then any other such documents to support the birth certificate such as a school living certificate which is acceptable for a Canadian visitor visa

I applied for my parent's visitor visa application through GC Key account in June 2021 and their biometrics were done in September 2021. Since then there has been no update at all on the portal.
I am planning on re-applying for their visa but I am not sure if I should do it through GC key or through the new IRCC portal.
What would be the best way to do it according to you?
I would say if the wait is above the current processing time and call n ask one time otherwise go ahead and apply with the new one

See visitor visa and work permit goes hand in hand what I try to say is if you can’t get one go for another. So you should definitely go for visitor visa and make sure that all documents are write and then you should be all good

You can dates are not an issue. What mostly considered is when you applied instead of when it got approved. Because even if you apply like 5 months before IRCC does not guarantee that the visa will come in time

I and my brother came to Toronto, Canada on Study permit recently in January 2023 intake.Actually we want to invite our parents and siblings to Canada on a visitor visa.But there is a problem, actually our whole family have applied for the Visitor Visa in July-2022 and after 3 months in September we got to know our visa got rejected while I and brother were applying for Study Visa but luckily we got our Study Permits, So we came to Canada. Previously when we applied for Visitor visa we were invited by our aunt here in Canada for House-warming ceremony and now we are confused for what to do?
