    ✅ About Dodger's Trips.
My channel focuses on history, walks & travel. I visit places in the UK and overseas. I will film my experiences at well-known attractions and less well-known places. All videos will be based on one of the three elements.
On this channel, we take you on historical journeys to see what has happened in the UK, Europe, Asia, and the USA. ✈️
➡️ There'll be family getaways; I go sightseeing at museums and other historical places. I'll share this information with you so that you can enjoy the world's wonders and remember past events.
There is so much that we need to know about history, and I want to help you learn more about it. I go to places like Auschwitz, Mount Rushmore, Wallace Hartley’s home, Little Bighorn Battlefield, the Taj Mahal, WWII Berlin, memorial sites, and much, much more.
Watch amazing video footage of special events with commentary.

I enjoyed that trip round Lerwick, it's somewhere I want to go. Thank you! I'm guessing you didn't watch the TV series? You walked straight past D.I Jimmy Perez house 😉

Thanks very much for taking the time to tell me you enjoyed the tour. Yeah, I hadn't watched "Shetland" but after my trip I did start to watch it and realised that I had walked past the house. I had admired its setting at the time but without realising the link to the tv series. I do hope you get to Lerwick one day because I'm sure you will have a great time.

We found your visit to Lerwick very interesting and well presented. We have uploaded to our You Tube channel some tunes from the Shetland Isles and Scotland. We have just recorded Leaving Lerwick Harbour which we will upload shortly. We look forward to watching the rest of your trip to Shetland and further a field.

Hello Elizabeth & Roger, ir is lovely to hear from you. Thank you for watching the video and taking the time to post your comment. I have just checked out your extensive collection of videos and subscribed to your channel. I didn't notice it but wonder if you will consider recording Annie Laurie? That has always been a favourite.

Hi . Thank you for listening and subscribing to our channel. We hope you enjoy our music. We recorded Annie Laurie 2 years ago. It's a lovely tune which we enjoy playing. We are looking forward to watching more of your videos. Shetland looks beautiful. Liz and Roger

Lovely video, if you continue round past the Knab and Breiwick Bay you can head down the opposite coastine to the Ness of Sound Battery. Bit of clambering but some old WW2 bits out there too, along with more fabulous views of course. Made the trip last May, was bitterly cold and windy. Can't wait to go again

Yes, I should have kept walking to the Ness of Sound. And if I'd known there was more WW2 sites I definitely would have. I do hope that you get your wish and go back. Many thanks for taking the time to comment Charlotte and for watching. It is much appreciated.

Hi Tim, great to hear from you, thanks for taking time to post your comment. I did it the other way around. I did the trip then started to catch up on the TV programme. I walked past the Jimmy Perez house without knowing its significance to the programme. Even though I didn't know anything about the programme at the time of my visit the house and location stood out. The Lounge Bar too just behind the visitor centre. I hope you get to do the trip. It'll certainly be an adventure you'll never forget.
