The OEM sounded better than I thought it would. But the Milltek is definitely a lot more aggressive

@@M8trix. I think in EU it’s due to the particle filters. And worldwide (not just EU, but US as well) the ECU tune is a little less aggressive _sounding_ (e.g. not as much popping when letting off gas or downshifting) albeit that doesn’t affect performance. In my case, I have a 2019 TT RS here in the US and noticed that change in the ECU vs. the 2018 (test drove/rented), but that’s easily fixed with an ECU tune (e.g. APR+) which boosted performance as well as added back the pops/crackles.
@@patricknelson Also there's WLTP engine differences post 2018 making it not as tunable. Compression ratio changes ect

Perfect tone, and not too loud. A down pipe would give it that extra bit of aggression and make it slightly louder. If I ever got rid of my STi I could get used to this exhaust

Rs rs exhaust sounds so good that if you have it, there is no need spending the extra money to get the milltek when yku can get stage 2 instead
Awesome work. The back one has a Milltek non res catback ( with oem cat ) I believe. Does it drone when cruising on highway or in other situation.
No drone on the highway. It’s very close to OEM in comfort mode.
Then OPF came along and flucked it up 😢
Would you know what can be done about it? I’m thinking of buying RS3 2021 when it’s released.

Yes I think it’s worth it. In this video I got the OEM sport exhaust but I also got Milltek installed now. Finally I got that deep and crispy sound of the 5-cyl. You could consider replacing your downpipe instead. Then you will get super sharp and much louder sound with the pitch of the OEM exhaust.

Sorry for the super late reply. I think its SSXAU769 but you have to double check if that fits your car. I dont think I have the 80mm cat back, no.

Wow is the oem one only the Audi sports exhaust and no other mods? I expected the opf to make it pretty quiet at standstill but that is epic!

How many miles had the OEM car done? I have a brand new RS3 with 100 miles on the clock and it’s so quiet with the OEM sports exhaust ☹️
Both cars around 18k miles. What year is your car? And do you have the sport exhaust or regular oem exhaust?
Eirik Grønolen 2019 with sports exhaust but no pops, crackles or bangs and even in dynamic mode it’s so quiet. I think Audi must have made it quieter when they fitted the particulate filter for WLTP 😒
James Yeah Yes that is correct. 2019 model is a lot quieter than 2018 model. There is a new particular filter in your car preventing gas drips into the exhaust pipes which removes the pops and bangs. And the pops when you start up is removed from Audi software 😔
James L are u in USA? I have noticed the same problem with my 2019 rs3. I have like 800miles on it and still nothing like the older videos

Did you experience any noise drops after a week or so with the milltek? When it was first installed, it was LOUD... then about a week of driving I feel the exhaust sound mellowed down, my friend also noticed this so It's not me getting used to it...
ben fl In my experience its gets a bit louder over time. After 2-3 weeks the sound was deeper and sounded more crispy. The first week it sounded like the exhaust didn’t go all the way through in a way. It’s hard to explain but I didn’t think the Milltek was worth it the first couple of weeks, but after all the pipes gets worn in a bit it’s a completely different exhaust!
The exhaust should get louder over time once there is more carbon build up in the exhaust 👍🏽

Cozzie007 Senkefjærer fra H&R. Med magnetic ride blir det ca 10mm høyere enn med RS-understellet. Er ikke så lett å se forskjell i denne videoen, men den sorte er litt lavere enn den grå, som har magnetic ride.

Just a bit louder and deeper, but its not incredibly noticeable.

Milltek sounds garbage, what a waste of money on this exhaust. OEM sounds more refine and better purr. Milltek as always, cheap material for cheap results.

Does the Milltek exhaust come with an EU certification (TÜV)? Because I’m from Germany and the police is very strict with non allowed exhaust systems.

2018 is no opf 68 plate or newer have opf and sound like shit.
