Same. Was searching underneath and saw that when you pull out the dark gray paper cassette, you can see the rest of the piece of paper hanging. That's how I took it out.

My printer is stuck in "checking ink levels" even after reset! Ink levels are full, however the printer keeps checking them, rendering the screen/control panel useless as I can not get out of that message

I will do my best to assist you. Reset the printer to recover from printer errors or failures. If your printer has a rechargeable battery, remove it. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer. Unplug the power cord from the power source. Wait 60 seconds. Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer. @@HPSupport Your website is a mess: Can not find any usefull info in there regarding the problem and navigating through the site is confusing I could not get a hold on any online chat or email or even a phone to help me with my problem The suggested solution doe not work no matter howmany times I tried it. I managed to fix the problem myself by entering the hidden menu in startup and by doing a complete initial setup. Thanks for nothing HP, I will never use your products again!
