THE BEST VIDEO> I'M SEASONED ARCHITECT< BUT THIS INSTALLATION IS THE BEST> You see, we all know on paper how the anchor plate is placed and what's not, but all this little installation details like placing timber prior to pour and etc etc is something that you won't find in the books. THIS COME WITH EXPERIENCE!!!! Thank You SIR!
Usually you have a footing at a depth as determined by local soil conditions on undisturbed solid soil. For a residence this might be between 60 cm and 200 cm depth. A concrete post reaching to the ground floor slab level goes on top of that and the anchor bolts for the steel column go into that concrete post. It's rare to have such a shallow footing as shown in the video.
Interesting tutorial, thanks for sharing. BTW, if you struggle with designing a steel base plate with anchors in a fully reinforced concrete footing, I recently noticed that IDEA StatiCa can already design both parts. And that includes the actual behavior of the anchors in the concrete pad. ruclips.net/video/kBpHNRTARsY/видео.html
