Also in LED fog lights to supposed to be placed lower to that light gets reflected by road markers making judgment possible. Shining light straight with no possibilities of reflection is not good in rain or fog.

It's all about how rider take it. People doing high speed crusing on Duke's and other nakeds without wind screen. Yeah but it's good to have wind screen to avoid unwanted tiredness

The wind buffeting (as you said) depends on the height of the person mainly.. The type of helmet the rider uses also affect the buffeting.. Fully curved helmet will have no issues.. I used a similar one which you are using now, I face the helmet lifting affect.. Later came to know the problem is with the helmet and shifted to regular helmet (curved).. Problem resolved..

I am a Himalayan owner and I disagree with most of the reviewers including this reviewer. You should not choose Himalayan over Xpulse for highway touring only because of power. Himalayan cruises around 90 km/h (sweet spot) and most 200 cc bikes including Xpulse cruises at that speed. The advantage Himalayan has is its weight. It feels rock stable on Highways, (like a train) and impervious to windblast from speeding 4-wheelers, which is not the case with Xpulse. In the city, obviously like everyone else says, Xpulse is a better bike, easy to handle and easier on pocket.

Two things that you might have talked about this motorcycle: (a) it has tubed tyre. So, on an event of a puncture how to tackle the situation as pushing this 200 kg mass (without luggage mass) would be impossible. Have you tried pushing the bike after taking the air out of rear wheel? Just try it and you would know what I mean. (b) As there is no kick starter and it is entirely dependent on battery to crank the engine, the health of the battery, connections and RR unit (which charges the battery) are crucial. It becomes more crucial during winter mornings. So, how to ensure that these components are working well and won't disappoint you in the middle of a long ride?

@@amitkrupal1234 Thanks for your reply. Can you please forward the name and contact details of the shop/online store where the alloy rims for Himalayan are available? With the help of DMM/battery meter one could definitely monitor the health of Battery and RR unit, but what happens when it fails all of a sudden? If during monitoring battery and RR unit, one notices warning signs, it is still a manageable issue.

Having had a 390, a few words - seat height is taller then the Himalayan. (In fact, the 890 ADV has a lower seat height then the 390!) The Himalayan also has a bigger front wheel - the 390’s pegs are street oriented. The Himalayan just needs pannier racks and it’s good to go. Mind you, if I did it all again, I would get the 2021 CB500X (new updates are USD fork and dual front discs) - best fuel range, Honda reliability, add Rally Raid accessories.

KTM adventure 390 is far better in terms of build quality and all , but the only thing I would appreciate about Himalayan compared to ktm is in terms of seating comfort and off road capability , everything else from brakes , power , build quality , features etc KTM is far better , that's y Its so much more pricier than Himalayan .

... everything is good except the heat from the engine is still felt too much!!! It's too much heat even in this bs6 . My cousin got it recently few days back and I just rode it today. The pick up in mid range is just too good 🎉🎉🎉 brakes too but the heat on the legs 😭😭😭 I felt like my legs were gonna get fried if I rode it for long 😅😅 .
