I can't believe people are being so critical. This is to honor Dime and show that he is dearly missed. Be happy that these great musicians have come together to make these songs happen. Great Job!
Dam fucking straight.
@HORSE SIX ZERO 🤣
Dimes play list..... Wish i was there...
Music use to be fun bro...its a shame eh
@@petelewisNZ you ain't kidding. I can't stand these whiney ass metal gatekeeper types.
Corey singing Pantera is fucking killer
ik lmao i was thinking to my self, he aint no phil but im sure he could fill his spot when they broke up
I don’t care what anybody thinks, Corey Taylor is a fu€king badass.
He's awesome,it's just the hat is kinda weird.
geeeessssshhhhh you people in the comment section! NO ONE UP ON THAT STAGE IS TRYING TO RECREATE PANTERA! It's a bunch of the bands friends getting up there and HONORING Dime and now Vinnie and having fun!. Y'all need too chill the fuck out!
exactly
Well said
Yep, always complaining motherfukers sound like someone jacked off in their cereal !!!
I'm a little late but Corey was awesome here and so is EVERYONE else on that stage! Only uneducated casual metal fans would say otherwise.
You know i really can't stand Taylor when he opens his big mouth and whines all the time , but vocally he's a great singer with a lot of range. Especially for the style of singing he does in Slipknot , i'm surprised his voice isn't blown out. Because Phil's voice is shot. I got to see him in 2019 when the Illegal's opened for Slayer on their farewell tour , he did all Pantera song's which was cool. But he was struggling to sing some of those songs.....
Corey absolutely crushes "This Love", and I'm a die hard Pantera/Phil fan til death.
Anytime I see anything to do with honoring Dime and Big Vin I always cry. Pantera saved my life. They gave me a place I fit in and was accepted. I’ll always be a metal head.
Quit lying. They didn't save your life dude. Quit being melodramatic. Weirdo
Yolo Stu, be well friend.
What a proformer Cory is...He just kills the shit out of everything he sings!!! This was Awesome!
Dave has to be the leader of most jams of all time . He's the only dude that can play wit Paul McCartney , Zepp, The Stones, etc .... & still jam with guys like this , he's fckn amazing!
Dave and Corey are always doing stuff like this. Dudes have so much fun. This is awesome!!
I wasnt suprised at all. Coreys always fucking amazing
They're my idols
I was mixing this show @ The Observatory OC. It was a fucking amazingly fun night and all the players killed it.
gotta love how Corey just asks what song they want from the entire Pantera catalog like they can all play whatever song they pick. That's how awesome Pantera is.
"this love" was amazing. what a gem.
The passion Corey plays these songs with says it all 👏👏👏🤘😁🤘
I'm a real KISS-fan but Paul Stanley eat your heart out on that Corey Taylor-voice..... He is awesome!
One of the sickest shows i've ever been to.
Cameron Fleury ..lol...man I've seen \PANTERA LIVE 4X/!!!..THEY WERE WAY BETTER THAN THAN ALL THESE PLAYERS!!.."BLACK SABATH REUNION TOUR WITH PANTERA & SOULFY "!! OZZ-FEST!!😈😈.."HOUSTON, TEXAS"!!! FUCKING INSANE!! STILL TILL THIS DAY NOBODY HAD THAT TYPE OF POWER LIKE.."PHIL..REX...VINCE..DIME "!!😈
Wish I could've seen Pantera live! That would change this answer.
Corey Taylors Scream sends chills through my spine....
I had the absolute pleasure of growing up in Arlington, TX. Granted it was a shithole but 2 amazing things came out of there - my older brother & Pantera. Throughout the years I bumped into Dime & Vinnie Paul several times - from buying them rounds @ No Frills Bar & Grill to telling my staff @ the golf course - give those guys anything they want - "thats fucking Pantera".
Miss you all
Awesome story. Thanks for sharing.
All these incredible musicians together, with their amazing combined talent and experience, couldn't even come close to matching the sound and intensity of Pantera. It just proves that Pantera was something truly special.
Corey just can do it all…. Unreal
2:43 3:09 Kiss - Love Gun
8:20 8:29 Pantera - This Love
16:00 A little bit of S.O.D. - March Of The S.O.D. in guitar
15:48 16:17 Pantera - Walk
I think that is it.
"Walk" with some backing vocals....
7:30 corey: Someone hand me a water
random guy in audience: throws waterbottle
Corey can sing anything. In my opinion one of best singers all time
It’s actually true he technically is one of the best singers he has the second largest vocal range of any singer. He can sing 5 and a halve octaves then add in all the technical screams and growls he can do no one is really on his level lol
@@kylehornby8886 what about chris cornell,mike patton,halford,mercury,gillan?
@@simongajardo2868 NO disrespect to anyone but they cant scream / growl like corey and at the same time corey cant sing as perfect as them so we just cant compare them all these Legends are Fuckin awwsome
@@kylehornby8886
Chris Cornell is to be considered !
May he rest in peace
Ha ha ha nice joke kid
Jesus. Listen to Benante’s playing on ‘This Love’. Absolutely crushing and deadly accurate. And people blame Lars’ lackluster performances on his age.
Düde Corey's Showmanship is off the chain!
Really wish they would have played Domination. Because Pantera dominated everything.
I wonder if they will rename Dimebash to AbbotBash? Dime and Vinny should be celebrated together now. RIP.
11:24 That scream was absolutely primal.
no better than phil
Rex Brown is remembering Cliff Burton's look! haha
Impressive vocals by Corey
Respect for these guys singin in a room for a friend when they could have sold out the Michigan Stadium
Corey sings Pantera pretty damn good!
Besides Phil himself certainly is one of the best avalaible for the job!
He didn't do to bad on Love Gun either. He's pretty damn solid
He’s annoying AF but yeah that dude can howl. One of the best in the business IMO.
Dimebag and Vinnie loved KISS too. Perfect way to honor all three of them
Most teens from the 70s early 80s loved kiss. I personally think they suck, but the generation before me loved em. They influences a majority of bands that came from the early mid 80s.
Alice Cooper as well. Huge influence to a 70s kid. In which again I can't stand Alice Cooper as much as kiss haha
@@therealunclassified Ok
Charlie Benante is fucking amazing
“Somebody throw me some water!” *Random guy throws water at Corey*😂
Corey killed it.
I love you Dime & Vinny. R.I.P. Brothers!!!
They did an excellent job on their Rendition of kisses love gun. I would have to say that Cory Taylor is probably the best vocalist of his generation.
uhh phil is
@@eddieandersson9667 No shit sherlock she was merely saying the best in place of Phils present because Phil isn't allowed to be there.
Corey did suprisingly good...looks like they all had a shitload of fun
Kudos to Broderick for nailing everything Dimestyle but in his own style. Nobody notices him.
If dime would see this! He would be very happy
could feel scott ian's grin all the way through the screen during love gun...
Chris Broderick is definitely the most talented and ripped dude on that stage lol
You know they've nailed it when you get goosebumps watching this.
Fook wacken and all those other pish festivals....if I have to sell a kindey to travel from europe to take part in the dimbash, then so be it!
Thanks for posting!!
Btw: kidney is a 1971 vintage, abused in younger years but has been relatively well looked after for the last ten or so, no kidney stones and will let you piss like a fookin racehorse :)
Wow, Corey did a great job.
Thank you for posting this!
Corey nails it 🤘
Benante is among the top 5 all-time badasses in metal.
You could say, he’s among the living
God damn Corey sounds like the real deal
The outro to "This love" is still one the sickest ever.
Damn dude! Hearing Corey on This Love was awesome! Would love to see them take that to the studio and record a Pantera Tribute/covers album
I remember really getting into Pantera in 93 as a freshman in high school. My friends and I wore out the Vulgar Video on VHS. Shedding Skin remains one of my favorite metal songs to date. I’m a fan of all the musicians on stage in this clip, but nothing today can capture what Pantera had in their prime. Sucks that what people focus on today is the internal disputes that the band had later on. I met Vinnie at a CD signing when I went to see Hell Yea. He was very appreciative of all the fans that waited to see him and shake his hand.
Me too.. we watched vulgar video everyday skipping school.. may pop tires . Lol
This video is awesome.. they killed it man.. it's such a good thing that Rita is doing for dime.. dimebash is just a good fuckin time man.. it's a huge party in dimebags name and they do a fantastic job every year.. and every year they have bigger and better names in the metal game.. amazing stuff.. RIP dimebag.. RIP Vinnie Paul.. you two guys are missed in the metal world.. thanks for sharing this video.. cheers..
I love watching Dave Grohl with the ML in hand. So cool. 😆
I miss dime so much. Most of the time, in metal, it takes 2 guitarist to make a band sound great. Dime was able to combine 2 into 1. He did not need anyone else. That is a badass.
rocking 33 it’s called over dubbing
There is a huge difference between, " some guys jamming", and a well rehearsed, tour ready band!!!!
That Kiss cover from Taylor is perfection. He almost mimics Stanley's tone... I love this man such a legendary singer...
Couldn't hit the high notes like Paul did.
This I agree 😎
The energy on that stage is amazing.
Ian's smiling like a little kid. Those dudes are having a fucking blast 🤘
There are so many incredibly talented people on that stage, it is almost hard to comprehend.
Gimme a scream Corey:""this LOOVEEEEE""
Just the KISS song Love Gun you see these guys playing that song and Corey singing , they were just enjoying it like little kids with A Love Gun album in their hands.
This was amazing
charlie was 100% the right pick for the Tribute tour!
There are very few times when Dave Grohl is on stage that he isn't the best drummer. This night was one of them. Benante slays all!
I can't stand Grohl!
@@mikeg.9238 no one cares
@@mikeg.9238 I care
@@Wilder_TheWolf 👍
Charlie is a monster!!
Nick Bowcott shredding the lead guitar!!!!
I was a fan of his back in the 80's when he was in Grim Reaper , they only had one good album though and then faded away...
Rexs bass tone sounds amazing
I saw Pantera live in 1992 they were running on all cylinders during that time. Amazing show! It’s cool they were able to put this together with Zakk and Charlie. I can’t think of 2 better guys to do this tribute to the mighty Pantera. R.I.P. Dime and Vin 🖤🖤🖤🙏
I'm failing to see the Zak part of this video clip that's from 2019 😆
I didn’t think I’d ever see Dave playing the dime slime 🫣
Cory Taylor can sing man.
yeaaaaaa
Pretty bad ass to see Dave Grohl up there thrashing. Constant headbang. Amazing musician. Seems like an amazing person as well. I know the dude loves all kind of music. I know he is a metal head and punker at heart. Cool to see he has the metal chops though...
So great to see Rex!
Corey sounds great doing KISS
NooDLES411911 he did this cover with his band stone sour. Sounds great
@@93FordMustang93
i forgot about that, he goes so fucking high near the end in that.
Holy shit! Almost 40 yrs and I just realized Scott Ian left handed!
I think you mean Nick Bowcott who is playing on This Love
@@oldgroucho2203 my bad
@@stevenlong9455 easy mistake to make, both bald and its kinda dark on that side of stage that they both are on.
I read the comments and realized you made a mistake. Before I read them I said huh??? 😅
@@stevenlong9455 Bowcott jammed with some of my friends in their band, Hell Came Home, in Indiana and was in the studio with them. He works at Sweetwater , they said he is about as cool as can be. Why I recognized him.
Pantera should re-unite with Rex on bass, Phil on vocals, Zakk on guitar and Dave Lombardo on drums.
That would be fckn killer
Afonso Santos why Lombardo ? 😂 off the metal drummers you pick the guy who’s doesn’t play like Vinnie 😂
@@TheDon-ls4ee to be honest no one plays like Vinnie, so hahahahhahah
Afonso Santos agreed but your the one who wants a reunion mate
@@TheDon-ls4ee yup i fckn do ahhahaha
Afonso Santos pointless
This was and is just awesome!
OMG THIS IS INCREDIBLE! THAKS TO DE ABOTT FAMILYFOR DOING THIS EVENTS!! GOD BLESS U ALL!!!!!
A lesson learned in life known from the dawn of time
Scott and Dave shredding next to each-other - didn't think I'd ever see that...cool though! :D
Thank you for sharing
Damn Corey! You sound killer singin all those tunes!! Thanks for givin Dime love!!
Now Corey has a powerful voice but you see how good phil voice was. Crazy shit
Corey Taylor has an incredible voice with ridiculous range and he can pretty much sing anything…he did a better job with the panthers songs than anyone I’ve seen doing covers, but there’s no substitute for the depth and sheer power that Phil brought to the music. The guy was a friggin monster with a voice that nobody can match.
Has anyone thought about the idea of Zakk, Charlie, Rex, and Phil as a band? They legit could write some excellent music together.
I'm down.
Dude... You a psychic?
Your request was granted
you guys are missing my point. I know they're going to be playing together. I'm referring to the idea that they could actually be a band and write original songs.
@@rubar1025 I think after the "reunion" this could really happen, it would be awesome
Thank so much Chaffie! Those cowboys from hell are great! Greetings from Mexico City!
Dime n Vinnie looking down going fuk yeah!!!!!!!!!!
Chris broderick killed it!!!\m/
This is epic. Wish I was there live.
That was awesome ! "Live".
Badass, this love was awesome performance
I still think Phil should be there, but i'm happy that they are still doing dimebash. I'm still trying to figure out how Dimebag got his sound, cause there are 3 very good guitarists on stage and they don't have the raspy sound that Dimebag had.
exactly
Dimebags tone was in His Fingers.. no one has Darrels Grip. his Whiskey Driven DNA Made his Tone INSANE.. no one will ever come close to Dimebag Darrel.
Excellent! I love it !
Dave rocking the Dime guitar? I dig it
i wish they made some albums toghether
Most known song by Pantera is about respect, and i see very little respect in this comment section. Think about your attitude ppl, like really...
Excellent point!! 🤘 These musicians are playing in celebration of the legacy of Dime. This crowd however definitely could have been more lively!!
Ian Crouch i agree, i just don’t get for example hate corey gets here, he’s hardworking and talented musician, either you like him or not
@@BFG-hv2ml Exactly. 🤘
@@BFG-hv2ml people hate corey just trying to act like pussy elitist.
SO METAL DUDE. AHAHAHAH
this is awesome! Wish i could have seen this live! Some huge metal legends here!
I can imagine Dime and Vinnie headbanging in their graves! Awesome tribute!
Chris Broderick is THE Star!
Would like to see him, Rex, Charlie and Corey doing a Pantera tribute. No need for all those extra players. A 4 piece in the spirit of the originals
Dude , Scott Ian is one of the best rythym guitar players in metal history with one of , if not the most crunchiest sounds in history. He stays , get rid of Grohl . And Broderick? He's alright i guess, but i couldn't pick him or his sound out of a crowd. He got chops though, sure...
dave on the drums dude he will fucking kill those drums.
Cant forget Frank Bello doing backup vox on love gun!
This is friggan amazing
I have several pantera/dimebag related tattoos I luv seeing the most talented and down to earth/luved and respected guitarist still getting new fans and being a buck 10 respected 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Love Gun was the Sht!!! Thank you 👊
