As a black kid that loves metal, I get told all the time that my music taste is trash and that most metal bands are racist. Which is definitely not the case. I’ll be a metal head FOREVER 🎸🤘🏿🤘🏿
@@devinh8948 There's shit heads everywhere, but if you like metal, welcome. Metal is for everyone, with the exception of some of the fucks that's in the genre. Just look out for 'em. Just like any genre.
Terrible musicians? You ever actually listened to Machine Head? Maybe give The Blackening a good listen and see how wrong you are. Plus metal bands do give a fuck and the ones that tell you they don't are just a bunch of wannabe rebels with no musical talent.
It's funny how the Phil supporters always bring up him apologising. He has spent the years since whining about cancel culture in just about every interview he has been a part of.
@@brianmeen2158 I guess that what depend on what is considered part of cancel culture. I'm not a fan of the organized activism and doxxing and shit like that but there are consequences for saying stupid shit. I also don't see how Phil Anselmo has by any objective measure been "cancelled". He got called out by his fans for his stupid behavior. He apologized after the initial reaction against him but he seems to have walked that back in interviews after with constant gripes about cancel culture as if he is the victim here. The dude is still very much visible in 2024, he hasn't been erased.
@@shaunsmith7503 Yes he's very much visible in 2024, and why is that? Because for one he committed no crime and has paid his due over this indiscretion. Much more horrific tragedies in the world to worry about. And he's on point about cancel culture! Why is he made such a scapegoat, while others questionable misdoings get pushed under the rug?
@@sassydoe9407 Scapegoat for what? He got called out for his shitty behavior. He isn't being punished, he hasn't been cancelled. Keep up with the whataboutism, sure ...there are others out there worthy of criticism as well but that doesn't mean he gets off scot-free.
Hell yeah! Look who you run into on Machine Heads comments section hahha!! Love your vids man! And thanks to Robb to for saying what we're all too scared to say! Why you guys have been my favorite band since i was six!
Phil Anselmo is just misunderstood, his arm was hurting due to the fact that he was holding that heavy microphone in his hands for the whole concert and he needed to stretch his arm (those things are fucking heavy). Then, as nowadays everybody does, he was just doing some product placement for helping his drug-dealer friend out. In fact he was screaming "white powder", which he very much enjoys with white wine.
Robb, it affirms my belief in metal to hear your words. It is important to hear yourself & others speaking out. We should see our scene & its bands/members with pride. Not shame. Much credit to you & thanks for all these years of great music!
Smart man. He eloquently broke down the significant differences between white pride and black pride. I've got much respect for this dude. He's got some serious balls to put up a video like this.
That was the one area of the video I really disagreed with. "[White men aren't oppressed by black people, therefore they shouldn't say they are proud of their color]"? I understand where he was trying to go with it, but he really lacked some fucking eloquence with that one. Again, most of his points are very well made but this is why I don't turn to some fuckin metal guy I respect for opinions on issues/current events etc.
Metal is meant to be enjoyed by everyone, metal knows no religion, race, gender, orientation or creed (well not the band) There's no place in metal for racism. \m/
+jrocker198124 i can say the same for rap with black people, it's a stereotype, just a stereotype, i know black people metalheads, for the rest of your comment... just bullshit.
I got the privilege of seeing Machine head live and they kicked ass!!! This man has heart and nuts to talk about a problem that plagues us to the present day, racism sucks!!!
@@zap7026 My comment is not pointless; policies supposedly inspired by anti-racism, anti-LGBTQ policies are an attempt to justify tyranny on the masses. That does not mean that I am in favour of racism or any form of bigotry, because I am not and very few people are.
As a black man who listen to all kinds of music(metal included).Thank you for sharing and I applaud you for standing up and speaking up for metal music.
I'm black and I love metal and rock! I appreciate this video so much. As a teen in the late 80s and early 90s I was always apprehensive to go to metal shows because of the racists and was always analyzing lyrics because I'd be mortified if I was enjoying some song with racist lyrics. It really sucked!
How much racism did you encounter? I am your age and have similar experience. But apart from tossing Manowar out of my collection I never had any issues. I loved Sodom, Kreator, Accept, Metallica, etc. There wasn t any racism in my scene. But yes, the problem obviously exists. I really like your attitude. I can imagine quite a few people had a struggle like yours, but I was spared.
@@gulliverthegullible6667 Pantera songs have no racist lyrics of any kind. They do have songs with anti- racism lyrics for sure. Phil is stupid on occasion when drunk. But he's no racist.
+Fjesing "But as a freaking human being, how could I not applaud, support and spread this." Because I do not support the idea of policing a genre and boycotting music with ideologies I disagree with. If we let this kind of mentality of ruining musicians lives because they said something wrong go further, art in general, not just metal, or music, will become a hugbox of the same opinions and messages continuously circlejerked.
+Ninjastyle124 C'mon man all art is criticized, metal should not be immune to that, no matter the topic. Plus this video isn't going to stop artists doing whatever the hell they want to do. It's simply support because you agree with the problem, or you don't support because you disagree with the problem.
I've been a metalhead since my gateway drug of Iron Maiden was introduced to me as a teenager. Luckily, I've always experienced good things - as far as my experience goes, metalheads are very inclusive, tolerant people. BTW - saw you guys in Bristol, UK a few years ago - awesome gig.
@krazimuffin I think you may of misunderstood. I meant it took balls to speak up against a metal giant like Pantera being a lesser known band and risking losing fans, not talking about racism. Anyhow you keep up the good work krazimuffin, wouldn't want too many people talking about ending racism...lol
Its phoney. See the pics of Robb sieg heiling with Hanneman and Anselmo. I know him too. He's a fucking politicking phoney who can write a riff. The minute he was able to make himself look good, he jumped on it. Anselmo is an idiot too, but this is Robb being a full on opportunist. Its gross.
Metal and Punk rock have both been an awesome avenue for everyone of every color that’s always been a misfit and found a home in the community we’ve built.
This statement is really really untrue. I love metal but I don't think it loves me back. So I make metal that will love everyone. That is my mission as a player of music.
@@slaythembeforeme None of them have any relevance or acceptance to punk. During the 80s when there was overlap punk shows were warzones and the racists got their teeth knocked out, most bands from that era wrote songs making their stance against racism in the very clear as well. One of the first patches you put on a punk vest is some sort of antiswas so you don't get you ass kicked because you shaved your head. You'd get your ass kicked if you put that on a metal vest, not at at every show but it would absolutely happen at some point. One genre literally stomped it out and made it completely unacceptable behavior. Now it's no longer even a minor concern at any punk show or event, the racist niche doesn't even try to cause trouble for punk shows anymore because they'll just get beat up for the effort. Metal doesn't have that barrier or hard line stance against fascism. All that really means is a metal fan has to put way more effort into the bands they like and support than a punk would. If you're a fascist punk you go over to your corner and stay there, if you're not then the genres wide open for you. For metal you might have a Pantera tattoo because their music got you through high school but now you can't listen them anymore.

You'll be fine, man. Go enjoy yourself. Don't let this video scare you and don't believe the bullshit stories about metalheads. This video got taken way out of context and it's not what it looks like. There's a whole story behind what happened that night and why Phil said that. He wasn't preaching to a crowd of racists he was targeting a couple of black supremacists in the crowd. He's not racist it was more to piss those guys off. Hope you change your mind and decide to go check out a live show man there's nothing like a good metal show. Although, I don't know how metal community looks like overseas but over here in Europe (at least in Sweden) I've never stumbled upon any racism at all at these events.. not even from those who are kinda racist. Let Phil Anselmo be a racist. He is a nobody in reality....he thinks he's fighting a race war, but he's already lost. America is becoming more racially diverse and in the future everyone is going to be brown 😂
As much as I agree with Flynn on the anti-racism issue, no one who put out 'The Burning Red' and 'Supercharger' can be "one of the realest guys out there." No disrespect to OP intended. :-)

It's one thing to not be into a band because you're just not into their sound.. But to say it's solidified by the stupid action of one member, 15 years after the band split? For 1, he is only 1 band members, none of the others have ever done anything that seemed racist; Dime especially was known as one of the friendliest, most down to earth musicians/person you'd ever meet... didn't matter who you were or where you were from. Phil has had his douche moments, but I don't think he's truly racist.. he usually treated fans in other countries around the world pretty much like American fans, and he's probably performed with some musicians that weren't white. At the same time some people, especially from the south, can seem somewhat racist due to the environment they grew up in and how their parents were. I don't think it was right that he did that, but he also was drunk and people do dumb shit. The fact he says he'll never play another Pantera song because of something the former singer did, I think is absolutely ridiculous and stupid. It'd be one thing if the whole band encouraged racism.
EricJh21690 I've been playing with a band for many years, still officially a "band" now, even though we rarely play anymore unless someone contacts us and asks us to play a "reunion" show. We're a 3 member band with a strong political message. If one of the other members turned out to be a racist, there would cease to be a band. Being in a band is a friendship, but it goes even beyond typical friendships. You don't have to always agree on *everything* ... but you can't have a band consisting of a communist, a nazi, a muslim and a guy from the john birch society. You have to be relatively like-minded, and you have to decide what your band stands for as a whole. When one member of the band is saying things publicly (for YEARS on end, this was NOT the first time Anselmo made racist remarks, just the first time he shouted "WHITE POWER!!!" on stage in front of cameras) that are against what you (the other members) believe and want your band to stand for, you tell that member to fuck off. If you DO NOT get rid of the member who is publicly making statements like these, people will rightly assume that he is just saying what the whole band thinks, and when you continue to play in a band with this person, you are implicitly endorsing the things he says. He isn't some guy named Phil, he is "Phil Anselmo of the band Pantera." It's the company you keep, and yes, it is fair-game.

A lot of people just don't get it but I'm glad you do.
I don't know how to word this any different then the way I'm going to say it...but...I think it's bad ass when people other than white people listen to metal. mostly because when people think of metal heads, it's skinny white guys with long ass hair wearing all black. Well were looking at if from two different perspectives. There are still people in power who don't give people of color the same opportunities. I don't know your story and you don't know mine but I know that my life experiences would've been different if I were born white. If you watch the news, when a person of color does something, they are identified by that race. So its harder for us to do something and be judged individually. I know I always take responsibility for my actions. I cant even tell you how much racism I've seen on the internet. I'm not expecting you to understand because you'll never see it that way. This stuff builds up and you see patterns, but there's always going to be someone on the other side to say "well no its not..." All I want is for the racist crap to stop on all sides. But if you're a good person and not racist, I have nothing against you.
Metallic Death honestly the mainstream media is one of the biggest problems they twist stories to try to turn everybody against one another , you're right you don't know my story and I don't know yours but a lot of people jump to the conclusion that I'm White just because I speak out against stuff like this when in fact I'm actually Native American so being white does not factor into the equation for me I simply speak out against stupidity, And what I mean about speaking out against stupidity has nothing to do with racism itself but has everything to do with people who like to label other people and try to claim that someone who listens to metal is inherently racist all that metal itself has a racial undertone but yet they do not speak out against all the problems that American citizens are actually facing, Just like Morgan Freeman was asked in an interview by Mike Wallace I believe it was what was his solution to racism and his answer was stop talking about it he's going to ask people to stop calling him a black man and in return He will stop calling other people a white man I'm not saying racism does not exist because it does but it's not just one nationality that is racist it goes across the board there's equal blame to go around , If we as a people want to see a change in what's going on then we need to be that change we need to set the example for other people in the hopes that they will actually follow that example, I'm not going to refer to you as a black girl I'm simply going to refer to you as a person and as a individual I don't judge , A entire race on based on the actions of a small minority of that nationality but unfortunately what's actually been going on lately is every white person is being called guilty of racism based on the actions of a small group of people can you honestly say that's fair ? People like to hold on to the Past and try to use what happened hundreds of years ago as an excuse for their actions today like they are actually being oppressed but in my opinion if you look around that's just a false statement because like I said everybody is presented with equal opportunity no matter what gender or race you are it's up to you as an individual what you do with that opportunity if you do not make something of yourself if you do not better your situation then that blame falls on you as an individual no one else, And you talk about the news anytime I have cut the TV on all I see it's a bunch of people who claim blacklivesmatter while attacking other people solely based on the color of their skin they attack and murder cops why was screaming out the names of criminals , But yet you do not see those people protesting all the murder and crime that actually takes place in their neighborhood that is committed by people of their own nationality no they'd much rather protect those people but drug dealers and the criminals and the wannabe gangsters they'd much rather hold up hip-hop stars like there's some kind of Idol, Instead of actually striving to be something more than that everybody is always so quick to blame somebody else for the decisions they decide to make in their life they do not want to accept responsibility and be held accountable for their actions so they tried to place their problems on to a different race and accuse them of being racist, And then in the same breath claim that black people cannot be racist but anybody who has common sense and does not live in denial knows that statement to be a lie as I stated previously and this post every nationality has racist in it but to judge that an entire race of people by the actions of very few , Is deplorable nobody can justify racism nobody can justify what happened to the African American people hundreds of years ago, Just like nobody can justify what happened to my people but I do not go around pissed off at the world I do not go around hating every single white person what happened to my ancestors at the hands of their ancestors it would be stupid for me to do something like that that would make me a racist in the end everybody has their own opinion and they have their own beliefs I'm just one person I'm not going to change the world by myself and I'll probably have it changed your view on the world or how it works and I really don't know what else to say other than have a nice day and I hope one day people in this world will stop hating each other and realize we all have to live on the same planet so it's best if we just accept each other for Who We Are as a person and try to make the best out of the time that we actually have here because life is too short to be angry all the time
@Frank Rizzo Saying Phil isn't racist is like saying water doesn't make things wet. Dude is as racist as the day is long. If throwing around nazi salutes and giving white pride/white power speeches doesn't make you racist then what does???

Robb thank you so much for your support in this! I have gotten so much hate in this it is ridiculous. It is amazing to see you come out in support of me! You put on an amazing show! Thank you again Robb =)
I love this video. I'm an old black metalhead, and he's right; shit like this is all too acceptable in the metal world. I can't count the number of shows I've left early due to very real concerns, and I won't even get started on the number of shows that, tbh, I just knew better than to go to. I know what a puke Phil is, but I would have loved to see them back on the Vulgar Display tour. But I knew better. Fuck man, if we could all come together, metal would take over the world! Look at Dethklok (I say half jokingly)! The love of metal knows no color, but it's a fucking shame that unfortunately the community does all too well. There are shows I'd love to go to. Really really love (I'm looking at you, Black Metal), but I'll just stay away for now. Maybe my boys won't have to worry about it as they grow up. But for now, I'm afraid that I still "know better" when I'm picking my shows

Just stumbled upon this vid during some research on why Pantera was post announcement uninvited from german "Rock im Park" and "Rock am Ring" -festivals. Thank you, you clarified it better than any. I´ve been on Pantera concerts in the past - what a blast, they´ve been one of my favorites. But never more, now I´m looking forward to Machine Head (one of my favorites nowadays, but I haven´t been on your concerts yet...)
Wrong place to do research on drama queen Robb's channel. If you'd do any real research you'd find out Phils many friends and heroes are black. He is a boxing fanatic. And his band is a bunch of mexicans, one partly black. Phil don't give a shit about anybody's color or race. Fools.
Machine Head will never play another real show, the guy's a virtue signalling poser and it's obvious. man what an embarrassing parroting NPC thing going on here.

this was nothing but a promo stunt for his shitty band which will always be viewed as a sloppy and sluggish attempt at copying pantera. like the other guy said, just virtue signaling for clout
@@eknim Machinehead sound NOTHING like Pantera, also Robb did way more for Metal than Dime, he's been around since the god damn 80's in bands like Forbidden band Vio-lence. Lmao at shitty and sluggish, Dime had sloppy ass rhythm playing live being drink every night, Flynn is one of Metal's tightest rhythm players of all-time, probably more than Hetfield and Mustaine.
Doug Pinnick plays bass and sings in King’s X. He was at Dimebash. He’s also black. And came out as gay back in 1998. We called him to ask about the interaction he had with Anselmo before Phil went onstage: “Yeah, Phil kissed me,” Pinnick laughs. “I hadn’t seen him since Dime was killed, but I walked backstage and he got up, hugged me as hard as he could and whispered in my ear, ‘You are the greatest human being I’ve ever known.’ That’s just how he is. He’s over the top about everything. I love that guy.” Not that Pinnick condones Anselmo’s actions onstage that night. “He shouldn’t have done it. I can’t stick up for what he said. I think he was trying to be funny and controversial, but he doesn’t have a racist bone in his body. I know people say, ‘How can you do something like that as a joke?’ But you gotta know Phil and his sarcasm. He got shit on for it, and rightfully so, but the backlash he got was a little bit over the top, I think. These people that are saying all these horrible things about him, they don’t know him. He’s branded a racist forever now, probably. That’ll be part of his résumé. But I hope he can recover from it and continue making music.”
The issue here is that Phil is not a comedian, and our current political climate is very tense. Even if what he said was a joke, there are a lot of people within the metal scene that support extremists views, and when Phil said that on stage he enabled said people. Was the backlash over the top? Maybe, but he learned a very important lesson the hard way.

Punk, absolutely.. Metal, not so much.. I wish it were true, but it's just not.. I fucking love metal, but racism has always had a seat at the table..
You're really going to pretend white power Punk bands haven't been around since forever?

If you have something against him, you should told him right in his face and not make a video complaining in RUclips....
+steven perez henriquez What would be the point? Anselmo is an ignorant white supremacist. Better to address the community about why this is unacceptable.
Marc Hauser Well, I guess if you're a white supremacist it would be acceptable...yeah, fair point. But us normal people disagree.
it´s doesn´t have anything to do with race, just merely opinions, and we cannot condemned someone for his opinion, even if we disagree, we must hear the point, not start a witch hunt.
steven perez henriquez ...why? Why can'tI condemn someone for their racist opinion? Why do I have to hear them out?
if we condemn someone without hearing it we´re just like inquisitors, and if we are not agree with them we must hear what they are saying, their reasons and motivations, everybody has this right. If you are white, black, hispanic, asian, let´s hear about why do you support one cause and not another? where is the capacity of dialogue if we not even give a chance for discussion?

U guys are one of my fav bands and tbh I never really liked Pantara that much, this video just solidifies that for me. Thanks for speaking out.
+redandblackrevolutionary Fancy running into you here.
EricJh21690
yea, I never said the rest of the band was bad, I just said I never liked their music that much.

Black dude from the bay here. Appreciate how real you kept it. I’ve never felt welcome at metal shows because of bs like this. It sucks to see how metal fans just shrug it off like racism is somehow “edgy”. Fuck that. I’ll be streaming machine heads catalogue. Thx!
I'm calling bullshit on that. Rap has much more of a racism problem than metal. I mean people up to and including Dr. Dre say anti-white racist shit. I don't know of any racist metal bands.
Yeah sucks, but if you are really objective about it you will realize rap is very racist to whites and whites dont bitch about it. Its just the way music works. Its not ok its just the way it is.
@@Illumirage fuck that bullshit man. Just cause you think someone’s being racist to you doesn’t mean it’s ok to turn around and be racist yourself. In fact, can you give some examples of relevant racist metal bands if they're so plentiful?

Metal is for and against one race.
The entire human race.

I'm not sure the kind of person you are, but we thankfully have some white people who are stepping up and outwardly distancing themselves from that racist mentality. For those that just sit by and let it be, that only perpetuates the problem; I mean if someone is about to go on a murder spree, do you sit by and watch since you're not the target, or do you stop that kind of person in his/her tracks from perpetuating whatever radical ideologies they have?

Great reply EINSTEIN. Robb Flynn got called out the very morning he made this video because he was bitching and whining to Rita Haney about Philip before this even took place. Everyone in the know has known for decades that Robb has some weird obsession with Anselmo.
ANSELMO isnt racist at all. Its PATHETIC people are so dumb nowadays they think they know everything about someone after seeing a 5 second clip.
All adults, that actually care about this, looked into it and realized Anselmo made a stupid drunken mistake but clearly he isnt a hateful bigoted man at all. Its sad how PATHETIC the metal community is now
Integrity101 ok well thats your opinion. Shouting white power is a stupid thing to do. “To a load of white ppl” go shout that to a load of black ppl and see what happens. Its a shit thing to do. Enjoy the music mate. Thats all im here for the music.

Phil did something stupid i agree. He even agrees that it was dumb and he apologized for it. The truth is the man is not some white supremacist at all. Its laughable. He was being heckled all night long while trying to celebrate the life of a murdered friend.
He is on video condemning white power groups long before any accusations. This all started when he shaved his head and looked the part. He has been very open in interviews.
The way he slid into the Phil impression was amazing
Because he Fkn worships Phil that’s why, never the less it was funny and spot on impression.
Well said Robb!
To all of you younger metalheads here, I recommend the song Slanderous by Machine Head off of The Blackening. That song will tell you all you need to know about how he feels about racism. One of my absolute fav songs by them for the message it brings.
What's funny is blacks will jump a white guy 9 times out of 10 in the hood that can be victimized. So he's a twisted individual going against his own color skin. What a moron. Heil satan
I recommend The Great Southern Trendkill.Machine Head?Lame....Phil Shouldn't have even apologized to these sensitive people.
This is EXACTLY why I love you and Machine Head. You're not afraid to say it how it is.
This is a perfect summation of why Phil was absolutely wrong.
The metal community lets a lot of bullshit fly that boggles my mind.
Thank you for saying something.
Absolutely gorgeous😘
He said Dimebag 2016. Dimebag was 12 years dead by then . You mean Phil

Typical limp wristed Democrat
you're an idiot. phil is doing the same thing BLM did. you little cuck. phil has been doing this for years, talking about how its okay for blacks and hispanics to be proud, but if a white guy says hes proud to be white, its racism. phil wouldnt want you as a fan, you're a little moron. go hide in your safe space, if you ever experienced real racism.. what would you do? what would you do if you seen people murdering other people due to their race? because youve never seen that, so stfu. the KKK has a measly 5,000 members, racism is dead. phil is proud to be white. if that upsets you, cool. no one gives a shit, especially not phil. you're on here telling the worst guitar player in metal that hes refreshing.. because hes piling on phil anselmo over something phil never meant. again.. phil is not racist. he finds it disgusting that other races promote themselves.. but if a white person says it.. then this happens.. you have clowns like rob flynn trying to bring his shit band out of the ashes by bad mouthing phil. let me say this again, machine head has never been good and everyone knows it. rob needs to disappear instead of throwing people under the bus to try to stay relevant. what a loser.
I don't think I can thank you enough for speaking out against s*** like this. I feel like I can totally relate to the song. this is something I have to worry about every time I want to meet someone else who likes metal because of how often it happens in the metal community... and to have someone like you to be on side against all of the white supremacist crap that people can't seem to grow out of, it truely a gift. A lot of people just don't get it but I'm glad you do.
I don't know how to word this any different then the way I'm going to say it...but...I think it's bad ass when people other than white people listen to metal. mostly because when people think of metal heads, it's skinny white guys with long ass hair wearing all black.
I like knowing all kinds of people from all kinds of backgrounds all over the world listen to the same kind of music as me.
+TheLad Did you even read their comment? Reading must not have been your strength in school. Maybe you shouldn't have dropped out before 2nd grade.
+Metallic Death do you really want to talk about racism in music because I honestly take offense to what you said being a Metalhead , you worry about meeting other metalheads because you think we're going to be racist because it's in the medical community really let's talk about that shall we ,
what genre all of music actually has songs talking about killing white people ?
that would be Hip Hop I'm not saying that Phil is not an asshole for saying what he did but for someone to sit here and try to demonize the metal community for one-man statement is disgusting it's not like we don't have a bad name already thanks to people outside of the metal community thinking you a bunch of unintelligent neanderthal who only cares about partying taking drugs and destroying shit ,
to me hip hop is the most disgusting racist music there is it talks about killing cops killing white people it degrades women it promotes violence against the very people who listen to it if anybody should be in protest of any kind of music it should be that garbage ,
I have been a fan of Pantera for as long as I can remember and I will continue to support the band that doesn't mean that I agree with Phil's statement it simply means I enjoy the Music Pantera produces so yeah I find your comments disgusting and honestly I find this video
to have him sit here and talk about white people have never been oppressed by blacks that Its okay for them to go around and scream Black Power someone really needs a history lesson because white people who lived in Africa was oppressed by the blacks there so if anything is a black eye to metal is this video and his statements fuck it I'm done if you reply or not I don't care this shit just makes me sick
Metallic Death honestly the mainstream media is one of the biggest problems they twist stories to try to turn everybody against one another ,
you're right you don't know my story and I don't know yours but a lot of people jump to the conclusion that I'm White just because I speak out against stuff like this when in fact I'm actually Native American so being white does not factor into the equation for me I simply speak out against stupidity,
And what I mean about speaking out against stupidity has nothing to do with racism itself but has everything to do with people who like to label other people and try to claim that someone who listens to metal is inherently racist all that metal itself has a racial undertone but yet they do not speak out against all the problems that American citizens are actually facing,
Just like Morgan Freeman was asked in an interview by Mike Wallace I believe it was what was his solution to racism and his answer was stop talking about it he's going to ask people to stop calling him a black man and in return He will stop calling other people a white man I'm not saying racism does not exist because it does but it's not just one nationality that is racist it goes across the board there's equal blame to go around ,
If we as a people want to see a change in what's going on then we need to be that change we need to set the example for other people in the hopes that they will actually follow that example, I'm not going to refer to you as a black girl I'm simply going to refer to you as a person and as a individual I don't judge ,
A entire race on based on the actions of a small minority of that nationality but unfortunately what's actually been going on lately is every white person is being called guilty of racism based on the actions of a small group of people can you honestly say that's fair ?
People like to hold on to the Past and try to use what happened hundreds of years ago as an excuse for their actions today like they are actually being oppressed but in my opinion if you look around that's just a false statement because like I said everybody is presented with equal opportunity no matter what gender or race you are it's up to you as an individual what you do with that opportunity if you do not make something of yourself if you do not better your situation then that blame falls on you as an individual no one else,
And you talk about the news anytime I have cut the TV on all I see it's a bunch of people who claim blacklivesmatter while attacking other people solely based on the color of their skin they attack and murder cops why was screaming out the names of criminals ,
But yet you do not see those people protesting all the murder and crime that actually takes place in their neighborhood that is committed by people of their own nationality no they'd much rather protect those people but drug dealers and the criminals and the wannabe gangsters they'd much rather hold up hip-hop stars like there's some kind of Idol,
Instead of actually striving to be something more than that everybody is always so quick to blame somebody else for the decisions they decide to make in their life they do not want to accept responsibility and be held accountable for their actions so they tried to place their problems on to a different race and accuse them of being racist,
And then in the same breath claim that black people cannot be racist but anybody who has common sense and does not live in denial knows that statement to be a lie as I stated previously and this post every nationality has racist in it but to judge that an entire race of people by the actions of very few ,
Is deplorable nobody can justify racism nobody can justify what happened to the African American people hundreds of years ago,
Just like nobody can justify what happened to my people but I do not go around pissed off at the world I do not go around hating every single white person what happened to my ancestors at the hands of their ancestors it would be stupid for me to do something like that that would make me a racist in the end everybody has their own opinion and they have their own beliefs I'm just one person I'm not going to change the world by myself and I'll probably have it changed your view on the world or how it works and I really don't know what else to say other than have a nice day and I hope one day people in this world will stop hating each other and realize we all have to live on the same planet so it's best if we just accept each other for Who We Are as a person and try to make the best out of the time that we actually have here because life is too short to be angry all the time
Pantera fan.. dont like macinehead too much. But Rob Flynn.. respect to you. Totally correct.
@Frank Rizzo Robb probably forgave phil by now its been 4 years but both bands are great and influential
@Frank Rizzo Saying Phil isn't racist is like saying water doesn't make things wet. Dude is as racist as the day is long. If throwing around nazi salutes and giving white pride/white power speeches doesn't make you racist then what does???
Cool. I hope you daughter has a bunch of black babies, and you have to live with yourself. And support them cause hey, it’s not like daddy will. Loser.
Rob got DEATH THREATS for posting this! I believe there's a time and place for politics in music, but you can't say that metal doesn't have a racism problem. Death threats - for calling out Nazi imagery. It's time to call a spade a spade
Nazis dont pretend they were drinking wine. Anselmo is just a racist piece of shit that doesn't want accountability, he wants mainstream metal appeal but not to be held responsible for the things he says or do.

@Wild Hearts yeah thats why he didnt upload it on a personal page and used the official machine head channel right? get real for just a single minute.
I love that guy.”
Not that Pinnick condones Anselmo’s actions onstage that night.
@@bravo075 Extreme views, extremist? You didn't seen extreme my friend, come to war zones in Europe, Asia.

@@bravo075shit, I'm all against cancel culture and more to the right wing of politics but the backlash should have been way bigger. Phil says this shit and 5 years later everyone is ok with this?
Well said Sir!! The metal community needs more of this. Metal started as a place for the disaffected to come together. This should be the most inclusive community out there. Call them all out and continue to call them all out. Fuck all intolerance.

I know that im very late to this video, but I just want to applaud you for speaking about all this Robb Flynn. Growing up, being hated by most people for not being "one of their kind" , I recognize just how much this subject has been avoided (for a very long time) and is still being avoided. So this is huge of you!
As a female, which to some is a “novelty”, I definitely have witnessed a lot of things in metal that have been disappointing and even threatening. Despite loving metal, a lot of us aren’t even seen as fans. You’d think in 2023 that women might be seen for more than someone’s arm candy or a token of some sort. Not to mention Yoko Onos should metal bands be affected by personal/family life.
However, there is a strong current in metal that is positive, inclusive, and just fun. There are some amazing people here.
So, your comment and the Zelda profile image (omfg yes) makes you very much one of my kind ⭐️

Hey Robb, I still remember february 17th 2010 you was on tour with Hatebreed in Dresden, Germany on this day. There was a big protest of Neo-Nazis in town and complete chaos. Your fans gathered on the train station just to get one taxi cab after another because no busses or trams where out to the venue.. the whole city was full of Nazis. I was there early but even when Hatebreed played the venue wasn't near half full.. You were aware. You noticed it. You went out on stage and told us that you won't start playing until everyone arrived, because no "dickheads" will ruin this evening for someone. I having nothing but respect, Sir.
