Man the Kings have been trash basically my entire life. This season came out of almost nowhere, particularly after the Hali trade, they are 100% the happiest they've ever been. Just being in the conversation about conference champs is an instant S tier for those boys.
First thing that came to mind while watching is that you just quickly throwing in the Kings fans next to the Pacers because they made a trade is really... weird. If anything, the Kings fans deserved to be talked about the most, yet you basically didn't talk about the Kings at all. Really strange. And while there are similarities, those two teams are not in the same place at all. The Pacers are lottery-bound (yet not as a high seed in the lotto, as usual), while the Kings are 43-29 and about to break the longest playoff drought with a very fun to watch team. THAT'S AN EASY S! This is coming from an Orlando Magic fan btw. B feels like the right grade for us.
These are some strange rankings haha. I respect that it’s all personal opinion, and I thank you for taking the time to do this because it was entertaining, but I can tell you as a Sixers fan that this season has been basically nothing but cloud 9. I feel strongly that the national narrative will *allow* for Joel to win the MVP, as hollow as the award really is beneath the surface because it’s all down to random journalists and stories and whatnot… anyway. My team’s been streaking like crazy the last couple months which has been awesome. The Ben Simmons era ending has breathed all kinds of new life into the fandom - as well as the team, with all the extra depth we were able to add over the summer and the trade deadline. Harden is back to being great/borderline elite at 21 ppg and a league leading 10 assists, while the Nets absolutely imploded following the fateful Simmons trade. We’re contending for the top seed in the East. Now I agree with the Northeast sentiment for sure that the town is all about winning; I’ll very much be in D tier if we lose a second round series to your Celtics especially lol, but for right now this regular season has been pretty awesome overall! God bless man, thanks again for doing this
Kings gotta be at S. I mean come on....”light the beam” those crowds are on a playoff hype level and the joy is radiating from that fan base as it should
Cavs and Kings. Interesting. I guess when one was good, the other wasn’t. Now they’re both balling. You had playoff Kings in the early 00’s and great Cavs afterwards. Then you had those years when both stunk absolute shit from 2010-2014. But at least there was Kyrie and Boogie….. with help from Tyreke and Dion
The fact that kings arent s tier is kinda cringe. Playoffs first time in like 20 years, are the 2nd seed, have a young core, have 2 superstars, solid role players, a good coach. Come on bro ....
as a thunder fan we should be at S, we are the youngest team in the league and we are in the playoffs, a few games out of the 4th seed and we are competing with every other team in the league on a nightly basis without our 2nd overall pick in the lineup, with the combination of being so good, shais performance this year, our young players going crazy, and chet coming back, all of this and we still have an insane amount of draft picks, i am genuinely so happy with this thunder team this is the most fun i’ve had watching since 2017 okc when russ was going crazy since it’s so exciting to watch these players grow, chet will be our lockdown defender in the paint and a good scorer, josh giddey is our distributor, lu dort is our lockdown perimeter defender, shai is our scorer, we are on pace to be one of the best and most complete teams
Legit! Feels like playing with free money right now - if we make the playoffs, AMAZING! If we don't, we probably get a better rookie next season. Whatever happens I'm living for it!! 😍
I think I would put my Rockets in C tier. Yeah, we don't like Silas (as a coach) and we lose a lot of games, but we don't need to win at all and we love the majority of our players (especially Sengun)
As a nets fan I'm trying to cope with what has happened with the nets by getting every bit of joy I can out of the rangers and being excited about baseball season starting soon lol. So that's how I'm doing.
Also S-Tier: Kings - ending the playoff drought, they have an exciting Fox & Sabonis duo Thunder (I am one) - Any result is good this season, literally playing with house money. Making the playoffs again after just two years out would be phenomenal! Shai = All star & probably ALL-NBA Giddey = elite passer and only 20 years old JDub = most likely the ROY runner up Chet =???
Sacramento making the playoffs for the first time in 17 years has to put them in S tier. The fact that they have the potential to make a deep run this year makes the fan base S+. Sacramento fans are on cloud 9 right now. They don't even have to win this year and the fans will be happy. Anything after this point is a cherry on top. If they make a deep run people are going to be partying in sac. If Jordan let's go of the reigns for the hornets the fans go S tier, lol.
You're definitely right about the mentality of Sixer and Celtics fans but I think both fanbases are still atleast at a B being contenders at the top of the East
as a thunder fan im S tier excited this team is something special and as off rn they are like 1.5 gamess off of making THE PLAYOFFS with no play in as a team projected to win like 22 games the whole season
What you said about northeast teams is accurate. As a Knicks fan we’ve been feeling the whole range from S to D, very reactionary. Staying in A is accurate
Think you could do a video on the Orlando Magic? More specifically Fultz's resurgence and them probably having the best young core in the league right now.
As a nets fan, I am recovering but am v v happy w how mikal has stepped into a team leading role, even if it is temporary. Although the draft capital wasn’t huge due to a mid season trade, we still have tons of picks in the next 6 years so it’s very exciting for the future (though knowing the nets they’ll find a way to fuck it up)
As a raptors fan it’s a D, expecting to make the top 4 and now fighting for a play in spot while having most of the team healthy all year long. Plus next years draft pick is lost and Fred vanvleet wants 130 mil, this is not good.
As a Golden State Warriors fan, I think we’re a B Tier. We’re still praising them for their championship, and we love seeing Steph and Klay pop off. But we are so frustrated with Poole and Draymond! We’re losing hope for another championship after every road loss. And, we are sad that Wiggins isn’t playing and we hope everything is okay.
as a lakers fan i feel like the fanbase is a C this season has been a rollercoaster from when we had russ pre trade deadline and post trade deadline has had so many highs and lows😭
Stop it. Bucks just won the championship. Also we have the best player in the NBA on our team that just hit his prime. Not to mention have the best record in the NBA
Kings are S. We are going to the play offs for the first time in 16 years, Mike Brown will most likely get coach of the year, we have 2 all stars, Monk could easily win 6th man of the year, our team is young and full of energy, we have the best offense in NBA history right now, we just won the 2nd highest scoring game in NBA history with 176 points, every game at home feels like a play off game as far as im concerned. We are eating.
As a warriors fan I’m pretty happy rn because it looks like we’re pulling our season together and johnathon kuminga looks like he might be a future star
Diehard kings fan since 2005. Lol I literally only got to watch my kings in the playoffs ONCE since I’ve been watching them 😭! That Kevin Martin game winner vs the spurs in that 2005 playoffs series is why I even started watching nba basketball!
As a Cavs fan, I honestly have to say my happiness is at an S. This is really our first year contending since lebron left, last year doesn’t really count due to play in. Donovan has played amazing for us, team as a whole has played well, and the strength and confidence of the team makes me believe we could beat anyone we play in a 7 game series, or at least give a hell of a fight
as a blazer fan, we have 100% had the most painful season in the nba. starting out as the 1 seed for the first month of the year gave us all terrible terrible hope that stayed with us through the rest of the year. we’ve blown 17 double digit leads on the way to the 13th seed in one of the last years of dame’s prime. let me say that again, we’ve blown 17 DOUBLE DIGIT LEADS. if we win like 6 of those, we’re hosting a playoff game 😭😭😭 the false hope and horrible collapses have caused this to be the worst sports season I’ve ever witnessed
Wizards fan in perpetual hell. Tommy Sheppard really saw Beal average 30 in a losing season and gave him a max. And they simply choose to not escape that 9th pick trap - just commit to the tank or a playoff push.
Super happy as a Thunder fan. Fun to watch, got Chet to come in with another 2 first rounders this draft coming and we're making a push for a play-ins and maybe even playoffs. We're 8-2 the last 10.
As a Cavs fan I’ve never been this excited about the team. If there was a tier option above S I’d pick it. Sadly in Cleveland we have a lot of fare weather fans who make our fan base seem toxic or unappreciative sometimes.
Nets fans are absolutely not happy and I can attest. I’m very active in Nets Twitter and the fanbase is constantly bickering with each other and most fans are doomers after every loss. The only thing uniting us is our hatred for Joe Tsai.
As a sixers fan I fluctuate between B and C. I love embiid and maxey but the maxey situation this year has been up and down but the kawhi raptors and hawks series live in my head rent free
New to the nba this season as a person from the UK. Picked the mavs to be my team since, and I won't sugar-coat it, Luka is great and so I picked a star to be my guy (obviously). Hate to say it but man is it tough our here rn. It's really quite frustrating watching a team so openly unmotivated on defence. It's sad to be happy when the opposing team doesn't just get to walk straight up to the rim without any resistance. Of course when the mavs are on a hot streak with their 3 point shooting (as they have been since the Kyrie trade) they're an exciting team to watch. But seeing even games where they shoot lights out still come to a lose because of lacklustre defence (actual 0 rebounding presence), straight up bad coaching and the slew of injuries recently is tough. Also Jason Kidd is "just watching" so that's great. At least "no one's dying".

Wizards fan here, perfect spot for wizards fan base. Front office is so stubborn in trying to get to 45 wins and they can’t even do that. This team has no direction. We are used to it at this point.
What do you like about the Wizards? Why are you a fan?
@@Bophydez I’m from the Washington, DC area
As a thunder fan I’m at S. Just making the playoffs might make me as happy as the chiefs winning the Super Bowl again 😂
^
Facts
Yo 76ers fan here I’m so curious what Okc fans think during the seasons like do you guys hope that you guys trade all the picks for Victor this draft and create a SGA Chet Vic Giddey god squad or are you guys more content for the future with assets and all?? lol Philly had the process and we messed up big time I know Thunder is gonna be scary in the future
@@anthonybrown1830 Most of us that I know of are already scared with Chet getting hurt in the preseason. So we don't want another tall and skinny ass big who's at injury risk. Honestly I think we're good and that we have too much young talent at times so these picks might end up being redundant
@@ishyameru6232 oh wow nice nice and yeah I was curious about having too many young picks and talent I guess by the future with SGA and hopefully Chet being stars you guys trade the picks for another young all star or for a prime superstar
As a nets fan we should be in D tier, or maybe even a separate tier below. We just watched our best shot in decades crumble right in front of us, and i dont think much of the fanbase has any trust in the higherups to do the right thing. Id say its gonna be a tough five years or so of nothingness and mediocrity, a few play-ins maybe.
for sure we have to be right down there with the wizards and the hornets if not worse than them cuz solely of the fact that we started the season with high expectations for a deep playoff run just to be broken into a sub to below .500 team halfway into the season with no really direction from hereon
@@samin5023 exactly. and it’s not like the assets we have set us up perfectly for the future either. It all depends on what happens this offseason i think
@@andrewramos5938 yep and tonights game sums it all up, we should just be in the F tier cuz this is crazy sad
I mean come on....”light the beam” those crowds are on a playoff hype level and the joy is radiating from that fan base as it should
Damn, I thought you were using your real voice lol. Scared me for a second at 2:50
Let’s go FUNKY the screen gonna be changing in this one (as u move the teams)
Ayeee, the future is NOW
Nvm, we’re still in current day lol
As someone whose a Cavs and Kings fan I’m freaking happy. Loved Fox when he came out and the off-season moves of the Cavs have worked great
Cavs and Kings. Interesting. I guess when one was good, the other wasn’t. Now they’re both balling. You had playoff Kings in the early 00’s and great Cavs afterwards. Then you had those years when both stunk absolute shit from 2010-2014. But at least there was Kyrie and Boogie….. with help from Tyreke and Dion
wtf
Kings fans easy S tier. No question about it. I’m S tier-level happy for the Kings and I’m not even a Kings fan myself.
Im scared we won’t end up winning a championship. I say we trade for Antony Edwards! We can SgA and Edwards!!
Kings fans deserve a championship. Hope they win the finals in the next 3-5 years. Impossible to hate the kings
How can the Kings be anything but S tier? I’m a Spurs fan, and they got ME saying “light the beam”!
as a Bucks fan i agree with this lol. i'm also hype about the Kings - one of my fave league pass teams lol
Kings should be S tier
Funky you’re an undercover Bucks fan at this point glad to have you here bro keep up the amazing content
Its funny how quick the heat went from B to S in the post season lol
Also S-Tier:
Kings - ending the playoff drought, they have an exciting Fox & Sabonis duo
Thunder (I am one) - Any result is good this season, literally playing with house money. Making the playoffs again after just two years out would be phenomenal!
Shai = All star & probably ALL-NBA Giddey = elite passer and only 20 years old
JDub = most likely the ROY runner up
Chet =???
As a kings fan, we need a new tier above S. Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel has never made me happier in life
The Pacers have an awesome future with tyrese and Benn, and they have 3 first round picks this years draft, definitely happy!
Sixers and Celtics in C is so accurate 😂
As a magic fan I'm glad you raised them to an A. I've been so happy for them and I'm excited for their rise
Kings 100% S tier no matter what, especially when Utah and Indiana are A tier. Probably gonna be 20 others saying the same thing.
i think the kings are the happiest fans in the league tbh, i say this as a non-kings fan
As a wizards and pels fan, my season has been horrible
What you said about northeast teams is accurate. As a Knicks fan we’ve been feeling the whole range from S to D, very reactionary. Staying in A is accurate
I havent watched it yet and Im calling it that its basically christmas in Sacramento
Think you could do a video on the Orlando Magic? More specifically Fultz's resurgence and them probably having the best young core in the league right now.
Fultz is criminally underrated
I would think that the Kings would be an S, super long playoff drought followed a shot at the 1 seed
As a nets fan, I am recovering but am v v happy w how mikal has stepped into a team leading role, even if it is temporary. Although the draft capital wasn’t huge due to a mid season trade, we still have tons of picks in the next 6 years so it’s very exciting for the future (though knowing the nets they’ll find a way to fuck it up)
Kings are s tier honestly
This concept is awesome! And, you gave quality analysis to my spurs, so thank you.
I love seeing all my fellow kings fans coming out of the darkness and saying stuff bc we are actually good for once. LTB
As a Mavs fan I get depressed thinking about this damn team…. Soooo frustrating
Kings not being S tier is ridiculous dude
as a lakers fan i feel like the fanbase is a C this season has been a rollercoaster from when we had russ pre trade deadline and post trade deadline has had so many highs and lows😭
We we’re doing good until the Rockets and Mavericks loss now it’s shit
Kings fans are definitely happier than Bucks fans
Stop it. Bucks just won the championship. Also we have the best player in the NBA on our team that just hit his prime. Not to mention have the best record in the NBA
@@andrewjones4774 I think they are at the same level
Sactown are the easiest S ever on this list Funky.
Love your RUclips channel man. Always chill and straight to the point.
Kings fans need to be in S tier. None of us thought we’d be 3rd in the west. At best we thought we would be a play-in team so we’re on cloud 9 rn. 😂😂😂
Same, and some people had us missing the play in completely
The editing for the magic opinion was amazing
Kings are S. We are going to the play offs for the first time in 16 years, Mike Brown will most likely get coach of the year, we have 2 all stars, Monk could easily win 6th man of the year, our team is young and full of energy, we have the best offense in NBA history right now, we just won the 2nd highest scoring game in NBA history with 176 points, every game at home feels like a play off game as far as im concerned. We are eating.
You should do a “ future of each team” tier list. OKC gotta have their own tier😂
As a warriors fan I’m pretty happy rn because it looks like we’re pulling our season together and johnathon kuminga looks like he might be a future star
Sacramento is S tier….don’t know how this isn’t so obviously apparent.
Donovan has played amazing for us, team as a whole has played well, and the strength and confidence of the team makes me believe we could beat anyone we play in a 7 game series, or at least give a hell of a fight
as a fellow knicks fan, i agree with subtracting a tier for the teams in the northeast
as a blazer fan, we have 100% had the most painful season in the nba. starting out as the 1 seed for the first month of the year gave us all terrible terrible hope that stayed with us through the rest of the year. we’ve blown 17 double digit leads on the way to the 13th seed in one of the last years of dame’s prime. let me say that again, we’ve blown 17 DOUBLE DIGIT LEADS. if we win like 6 of those, we’re hosting a playoff game 😭😭😭 the false hope and horrible collapses have caused this to be the worst sports season I’ve ever witnessed
yes I’m super biased but this shit has been horrible
As a blazers fan this is a F- season
This
Wizards fan in perpetual hell.
Good list but completely disagree with Kings at A. They should lead the league in S Tier. The kings fans I’ve talked to so far are absolutely elated
Kings is S tier don’t over think it. Trust us we are ecstatic.
kings should be S just because theyre finally making the playoffs, happy for kings fans they deserve this - warriors fan :(
as a okc fan we are a S tier besides from Chet this year has been great especially when The additions of Isaiah joe j dub and saric
Sixers fan here.. C is perfect. For reference, my doctor blames em for my bipolar. Take that for what you will
Kings at S tier without a doubt!
As a sixers fan I fluctuate between B and C. I love embiid and maxey but the maxey situation this year has been up and down but the kawhi raptors and hawks series live in my head rent free
As a Thunder fan I said A before you put them there, completely agree and Chet coming back too.
Biggest disagreement is Magic, I had them in D.
W spurs ranking and explanation as a spurs fan
As a recovering nets fan spot on analysis funky 😂
At least "no one's dying".
kings def S tier
As a Warriors fan, we should be an S
4 championships and 6 finals appearances in 8 seasons has been amazing
