Those pros are using their forearm not their wrist. When are beginner badminton players and people from certain non-english speaking countries going to learn the difference between the wrist and the forearm. The great coaches in Denmark have their English perfect and always state that it's the forearm.
I'm not tryin to be hater but these Players are not good enough in their respective countries. that's why they take offered from Badminton USA. Based on the name alone i can confirm that there's 2 filipinos, 1 Thai and 1 Indonesian name Jenna Gozali who used to be on the national junior team for Indonesia
Alcala was actually #1 in his age group and I remember him competing above his age 'cuz only a few can challenge him on that level. And I think he would've been #1 Men's player in the PH if he didn't go to the USA. His partner, I think, was a former national player before migrating.
I'm always wondering how do these amazing players compared to the people on TV, The TV players who are top ranked are not as impressive as these, 1 Maybe it's because of camera angle ,2 maybe it's because their opponent suppresses their capacity
The camera angle definitely makes a big difference. The pace of the world class matches is just on another level, not to mention those top ranked players have more refined overall techniques, power, speed, shot quality and tactics. Lower ranked players usually don't even get any chance to show their strengths because they have way too many weaknesses. You can see clearly just from the quality of those serves/returns, those serves are a bit too high and would normally lose points right away in higher ranked matches.

The skills of Sukamuljo and Watanabe are the highest of anyone in a while. Incredible creativity in their shots. Can't compare since these guys are just the best in their respective class and being compared to some many consider to be G.O.A.T.s
@Karl Mattias Reiter marin is a rare case. and don’t get me wrong, i strongly believe and hope that every country race and ethnicity can play a good badminton. that’s ehy i was shocked when i thought dude’s was hespanic, but when i knew he’s actually filipino my thoughts are meehhh it’s not so special anymore. okay back to marin she’s a top player but what about her national team or teammates? tbh im tired badminton only being dominated by countries in east asia and south east asia & for european denmark and england. so many stereotypes in the west that badminton is an “asian” sports
