As a Bruneian, thank you so much for your time and effort to unveil some parts of our country for other people to see, on behalf of other Bruneians, this video is highly appreciated so much.
You described Brunei and the reasons why we love it here so well! I'm so proud to be a bruneian. I love how you learned and gave so much information about brunei that not many creators that was here has mentioned. Thank you, I hope you enjoyed and come back again.
Very nice country, clean and the food look good and decent prices, would love to see the Mosque specially inside the Mosque, will like to visit this place one day, thank you for sharing
Hi Jack! Wonderful introductory vlog about Brunei. If you don't mind, I would like to share some more infos about Brunei. 1. The sultan is not the Education Minister but he is the Defense Minister. 2. Overseas education scholarships are free too if you achieve the required qualifications. 3. We pay zero income tax. 4. Free medical. You pay a dollar to see a doctor for treatment and medicines. If the treatment is not available in Brunei, the government will send you overseas fully subsidized for you and a family member to accompany you. 5. Bandarku Ceria on Sundays is a must. 6. Shariah Law is practiced by countries in Middle East for decades. Since it's implementation here, no one has been amputated or stoned. The complexity of punishing some with Shariah Law is not simple, so Civil Law is still very much impossed. 7. As you can see we live a very simple life. There's no strict rules on clothing as long as you dress appropriately and show respect to others. 8. Bruneians will always go out of their way to help you. Don't be afraid to ask. 9. Going on a guided tour is a good choice and I would recommend it to others. 10. I hope you had a chance to visit Temburong too and explore our jungle. Safe travels!
Hello, I feel some kinship with the Bruneians and I like that Brunei conserve 70% of their forest, I’m just wondering how about the water village, how do they manage their personal sanitation or septic tanks?
As a Bruneian i am quite disappointing that your tour guide is filipino. not our own people.... anyway thanks for visiting our country. please spread the word to others.
Teng Yun Temple is not a Buddhist temple. It's Taoist ☯️ I hope the tour guides in Brunei get their facts right about the place where I practice my faith.
I'm Bruneian and uhh our minimum wage is actually $450-$500 per month and that's just recently since the sultan ruled that minimum salary for private sectors must start at $500/month though some employers still pay their employees $300/month, sadly. but yeah, those who work private sectors especially in the fnb industries start at $450/month.
There is a bridge across the river, the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Bridge, aka the Sungai Kebun Bridge. You can see its vertical single pylon in the background (19:27), do do.
The high obesity rate is partly because of the diet, but also due to the laziness and the lack of safe pavement and crossings for pedestrians and people who love walking especially outside the city center. Just imagine, Bruneians go out of their houses, start the car engine, drive to a convenience store like 200 meters away, park really really close to the shop's entrance and then shop. If it happens to be your lazy day, the shopping activity could be the most active you will be in that day. Wow, that can easily gain you 400 steps. Just how much potential calories Bruneians can actually burn if we were just be more active and be given proper infrastructure to be more active than today. Lastly, Bruneians especially motorists and their passengers, staring at pedestrians walking BY CHOICE is not really helping. Some are even staring like the person walking is insane walking underneath the hot sun and even gossip whose sons are these, where are the parents?? I miss the norm in developed countries where the motorists would just mind their own business and the pedestrians would also just mind theirs.
Back then we have traditional toilet outside but still not far from our house the “bedukang” fish ate the human waste in the water. 😅 but now we have proper water pipeline, and sewer system pipeline. Rubbish are collected from house to house.
How i wish your tour guide is Bruneian or someone who atlest know Brunei like the back of her hand, or atleast memorized His Majesty’s name, cause it seems like some of the info she gave was slightly incorrect. But she did a good job in bringing you around. Thank you for deciding to visit Brunei, seeing and experience Brunei upfront, I hope Brunei treated you well

$300 is not a month wage in Brunei... average wage is $1500 to $3000.. and private sector average wage is from $2500 to $8000
I'm Bruneian and uhh our minimum wage is actually $450-$500 per month and that's just recently since the sultan ruled that minimum salary for private sectors must start at $500/month though some employers still pay their employees $300/month, sadly. but yeah, those who work private sectors especially in the fnb industries start at $450/month.

The punishment only for Muslim.
So it doesn't change the fact about controversial laws.

Not at all, brother. I don't bother at all.

Actually, I don't give a sh*t.
Islam is not allowed to be gay and despite the fact, who wants to be gay in the best welfare country?
I cant go there, I’m gay, I dont wanna get stoned
Just stay in your fantasy world
Nobody knows you're gay unless you perform gay sexual act in public. Even Muslim married couples dont kiss openly. Keep your private lives at home.
Why not??? Unless you show your sex life in public and if you are a moslem.
Why not??? Unless you show your sex life publically and if you are a moslem.
And that's why brunei is the best country in the world
You didn’t get stoned??
Don’t think they will simply just stoned people unless you have sex In public. I’ve been there, and the people were so kind ❤
For brainwashed people who listen Western propaganda is better to stay in coutrys where they born
The Sharia laws only for Muslims with 4 witness
Brunei here.. did you have sex in public then no.
Straight sex or gay sex in public is wrong. What you do in ur home is ur business.
Also the sultan give every student no matter our preference gay or straight the for all students if Brunei allowance $450 every month.
Health care free
Education Free
Homeless- Free house
Elderly, Single parent and Orphan gets helps.
