You've warmed my heart with this one, I'm a fan of all the big prog bands but Renaissance hold a special place for me. The 2 albums by the original line up are very good too although Jane Relf isn't in the same league as Annie. Live at Carnegie Hall is one of the best live albums ever of any genre. Nice one Harold!
Thank you once again for your very positive reaction. I will give the first 2 albums a listen. Because the line up is completely different I never listened to those 2 albums. Live At Carnegie Hall is indeed one of the best live albums of any genre ever made.
@@TheHarold1966 When the new Renaissance line up became successful the original members had to carry on with a different name, they took the title of the second album 'Illusion' as their new name. I have the first of those albums 'Out Of The Mist' and it's good too, more on the folky prog side.
What a great band, Annie’s voice is unmatched. It always baffled me why they never reached the status of bands like Genesis or Yes. I was very lucky because I got to see them when they played Carnegie Hall back in 1976 just amazing
On the Azure D' Or album the instrumental track is The Discovery.
I like the first two albums also....
Nice.

Yes indeed they never reached the status of Genesis or Yes. Annie Haslam has a great voice.
