Chrono Commandos can also destroy terror drones in 1 or 2 shots. Also very useful if he is inside a battle fortress to help avoid getting attacked by the drone.
Nice, I had no idea elite Psi Commando had such *big* range. It would've been so cool to have missions for each campaign where you solo infiltrate a base with one of these guys - first getting a spy in, then you receive one of these special units as a reinforcement, then you have to sneak around sabotaging things while avoiding desolators, terror drones (or SEALs, Grand Cannons, depending on faction), etc... "The Fox and the Hound" was honestly one of my favourite missions, tactical is more fun than strategic in general imo!
The reason why Chrono Commando can not destroy a bridge is because of his attack method on buildings: he is actually not using C4 as Navy Seal or Tanya or Psi Commando does. You can see this from his way to engage any building: much more quickly a simple touch rather than going partially inside, and there will be survivors coming out as if the building was destroyed by normal way of damage, compared with no survivors after Tanya. Yes, that's it. Chrono Commando's C4 is actually a simple range 0 attack with a damage amount much higher than any building's health, even the Yuri Fortress which is the so far known building in Yuri's Revenge having the highest amount of health. Anyway, when this simple range 0 attack has a damage value much higher than a building's health, that building gets destroyed in the normal way immediately, and you can expect survivors coming out as in the normal way. Therefore, as we know we can not attack a bridge repair house in the normal way, Chrono Commando also can not attack it by his "false C4", which is actually a normal way of attack with a very high damage at 0 range.
To blow up tanks: - Ivan can attach a bomb which will blow up not only the tank, but deal AoE blast damage to units nearby. - SEALs/Chrono Commados literally have to shoot at it for five minutes. Chrono Ivan isn't that good vs buildings, but he can blow up bridges and vehicles, which his allied counterpart cannot. He's also cheaper. I agree that he's not as OP, maybe if he had a slightly faster cooldown after teleporting he would be more balanced.
People saying Chrono Ivan is a ripoff, but using rally point, you can load up all enemy vehicles with bombs unlike the commando. One of the demonstrations showed the Ivan bomb one shots rhinos.
I remember discovering the chrono commando not being able to blow up bridges once... it cost me the game lol One strat I very rarely use but if I'm real desperate is to suicide some chrono legionnaires with Ivan bombs strapped to them. As 1 tile can fit 3 infantry, your effectiveness in killing a specific building is really down to _where_ on the single tile you send you unit. Further away from the target on the closest tile yields weak results. Being on the closest half tile, results are better. IIRC, 3 suicide legionnaires can destroy a WF. Hefty price I know but its if you're really stuck to make moves it could pay off but still almost random accuracy
I faintly recall something about more special units if you got more faction types (such as you owned an Allied ConYard and a Soviet one) but don't remember exactly...
The reason Chrono Commando explosives work like this is that these are not the C4 used by Seal. Instead, it is a very short-ranged regular attack with insane damage that can only target buildings. This was added because C4 could not be coded to be blocked by chrono phasing, meaning that it would be usable before the unit fully unpauses. This is also why his C4 leaves survivors.
As shown in the video, the Chrono Commando's anti-building attack leaves infantry behind when the building is destroyed like normal; the SEAL's regular C4 leaves no infantry. Interesting! I managed to mind control civilian cars with Yuri. Nearly useless though
How about the super Yuri
(I realized that only in red alert 2 not Yuri)
5:45 Soviets Life
Red alert 2 ? But I’ve never see some characters like that before
last scenes are epic adflsdlfs
It reminds me in Red Alert 2, chrono Ivan also existed but to have him you had to have the chronoSeal, and Soviet buildings 😂. All this effort for a less good chronoseal
play army men rts you will love that game
You forget Yuri prime, when you stole Russian tech and have a Russian barracks you got it and with crazy range
I've demonstrated that in two other videos.
@@tg.Sacred then one more plz 😁
How do you get wide-screen
How do you level up a psi commando ????
By blowing shit with it
3:20 invisible
i see chrono everywhere 🤣🤣
is it just me or does anybody here also find Allied Forces to be OP'd?
я тоже плавать не умею-- получается я хроно-коммандер?!)))
