I adore the Silversun pickups. His voice, it's so mesmerizing. I found them a long time ago, about a year or so. His voice is so incredibly distinguishable, that the second I hear his voice. I know I'm going to hear an amazing song. They just have this aura to this music, that is so different. The mainstream these days, it sicken me. My friends, I cringe at the music they like. Then there are those few people, who are into music like me. Who searches everywhere for amazing music.

The song is about having a still birth or an otherwise unsuccessful delivery and the emotional strain, shame and how it just drains you because it's not the first time it has happened. JMHO.

I'm glad that games like Guitar Hero introduce these kind of bands.. I mean SSPU, Buckethead, Incubus, Tool are all music styles unknown to most of the people here in Europe.. Never heard of them before..

Every version of this makes me think I got a blown speaker or a shortt
i think maybe then its the whole band that can stick to the same tune. rather than having the usual "its my turn to show off and do a solo" routine there all aiming towards being a BAND. its amazing it doesnt catch on.

@yazbby90 You're welcome. Me too, I can't help but listen to this song at least once a day. It's very relaxing and makes me feel great inside. 3:23 is the part that brings tears to my eyes sometimes. Just the way the transfer from the breakdown part right back to the bridge of the song is amazing.

i always thought SP drums were more guitar-oriented, but also atmospheric as well at the same time. The drummers in both bands have real talent for picking out the dominant melody at any particular time and accenting it, in my opinion.

@yazbby90 I think it's all in the name of the song, draining. All the things he's describing in his song especially relationships, are draining. That's what I got from it at least.

@bigboigrip not as consistent as their album b4 this. But sill worth it. When I heard 'catch and release' it blew my mind. I wasn't aware that songs could get that. This band is a gift to the world.
Is this not the best song ever made? I mean it! Ever! Like if some alien race came here and told us to make the most meaningful song ever or they'd blow up Earth, and we presented them with this masterpiece. Well, lets just say the planet would be saved.

not that i like korn at all but their drummer has so many different pitched toms he does have a tune in some songs. and the silversun drummer is actually pretty good i dont think u know what ur talking about
Drummer has very good technique. He seems partial to a certain style though. Either way, lots of intracacies in his parts.

Great song, horrible audio quality…….
drums don't have a tune. Percussion is used to keep rhythm and time. Some people are just better than it at other. Like the drummer from tool. Listen carefully and you hear the high hat every count. 1, 2, 3, 4. The rest is just an atmospheric noise. It works good though. This drummer isn't all that good.
