I love the fact that they named the first ripper doc that you meet in the game "Viktor". Later on, when he revives V, they say something about feeling like Frankenstein. There are several other easter eggs too, all which make it very clear that the devs were making an allusion to Dr. Victor Frankenstein.

    • @queenannsrevenge100

There’s another joke, there in Victor’s name - in the old movie _Airplane!_ Leslie Neilson’s character asks the ground crew named Victor “What’s the Vector, Victor?” The ripper doc’s name is likely an homage to that, as well.

One that ought to be on this list is that you can head down to the beach by Pacifica (left-hand-side of the map), run up and down the entire beach killing all the enemies you see. There's enough there to keep cycling their respawns endlessly without having to leave the area, and they have a decent chance of dropping those booster shards. It's an insanely quick way to power-level your street cred and make some serious bank in the process, with a selling point at each end of the beach! I believe I was making about 40k eddies per inventory-load.

The real quickhack you shouldn't sleep on is Sonic Shock at Tier 4 or higher.
It effectively erases an enemy's presence from their allies, allowing you to take them out without anyone noticing via whatever "quiet" method you want to use, a silenced weapon, a quickhack, a thrown knife, or a blade.
It's like Memory Wipe, but better, and cheaper.

The quest for the free Caliburn used to pop up at 40 Street Cred with a marker on the map. I don't know if I missed it this time or they moved it to hidden quests. There is also a weaponized Quadra, a tribute to Ken Block, for free in Watson. And if you are a bit patient for money: when you hack into things at 40+ you get legendary quickhacks which sell 20k+ a piece.

Here's a tip: Don't put off finishing the game. You get some bonuses for finishing the game that carryover to your character after you finish the game. For example, if you loot the final boss, you can go to his ship after the game and get a crafting spec for an incredibly powerful smart shotgun that shoots rockets and gives you stack of pyromania if you have that perk. Depending on which ending you do, you can get exclusive iconic weapons, such an assault rifle for doing the final mission with rogue or an iconic revolver if you do the final mission with the Aldecaldos.
As I said, you can continue to use these weapons with your character after finishing the game, and use them while doing Phantom Liberty. The smart shotgun I mentioned earlier is incredibly useful, especially on Very Hard and even more so if you have pyromania.

Best balance I've found for me in terms of crafting mats & credits: any tier below what I'm equipped with (meaning if I have blue weapons and chrome) I sell at vendors (in our example of having blue gear, we'd sell green and white weapons) and dismantle blues I get for crafting materials to upgrade to the next tier. Soon enough blue gear will be replace and any blue items get added to the sale pool. The reason this works is that I pick up enough broken weapons for low-tier crafting mats that I can just craft them into higher tier materials when combined with the weapons I dismantle. Once I hit 500k eddies, I dismantle everything and rely on payouts from gigs to keep it afloat from there.

There’s been a couple times where I’ve had a whole base do suicide at once. Really fun. Totally recommend. I think it’s 3 perks, one to identify them, one to hack them through cover and one to spread your hack to all their friends.

I think this is because the trigger condition is your max jump height or + bit higher than it must be achieved. Like, if you need to do a full-height jump before smashing down onto your target with the move to trigger; What I haven't seen is if the measurement accounts for standing on higher platforms. Like if your max jump height is 5m and this makes the trigger require 5.5m (which you can do from the ground with cyberware), if you stood on a platform 3m tall and jumped a short 2.5m that would also fulfill the trigger condition. That's what I'm unsure about.

crafting is super usefull, the engineer build was before, now tech only upgrades the amount of cyberware you can get, that you use in all builds, you need the mats to upgrade the tiers for the iconics weapons and cyberware that you get, so the mats from the weapons are very useful, the creds you get a ton with just the missions

I had to refine my tutorial searches and narrowed it down to videos done in the last 3 months before I could find ones like this. It could have been an absolutely class game this but there's so much wrong with it, even after all the updates, it's still a broken mess, such a shame because apparently they've abandoned it now to work on other things, so this is as good as it's going to get :(
There's tons of issues with characters and models clipping into the ground or walls, cut scene facial expressions are awful, none of it syncs up with the dialogue being spoken and my game has crashed on me now about 20 or so times, I don't understand how they've spent so many years and so much time on this thing and it's still not a fully working game, it blows my mind. For the Raycaster you need to unlock the crate first to get the car.
Regarding Enemies trying to hack you they have a proximity to their hacks. If you run a good distance away from them you could cause fails because they don't have a good range to effect you.
I normally don't use cameras to hack enemies because you would always alert everyone and blow stealth. It's best to room to room deal with guys that way although it's harder but you won't blow stealth if you're good enough.

I found it during one of the Delamain missions where you have to find the rogue cars. There's one that you follow through a warehouse and while going through it Silverhand appears and says you should try to get into the car. It's locked but the keys are nearby. As a net runner I can't remember the last time I was anywhere near the line of fire, thus weapon glitch was fairly useless. Using a combination of intelligence, tech and cool I'd approach a building by stealth (from a neighboring roof if possible) and hack into the cameras. Using Contagion, and a raven cyberdeck I could clear an entire building in under a minute in most cases. Any stragglers were marked, pinged, and zeroed curtesy of the rounds my tech sniper rifle shot through their skulls. Before the phantom liberty patch, I didn't even need the rifle.

Only criticism here is that you say "edgerunners" during the part on dealing with being quickhacked, implying that all edgerunners are netrunners which isn't true (nor are all netrunners edgerunners).
In the Cyberpunk universe it's used as a universal term for people who "live on the edge", though it's never specified on the edge of what - sometimes it refers to style, sometimes it refers to people who are thrillseekers. Outside of Cyberpunk, it usually refers to people who live on the edge of the law such as mercenaries or "military contractors". In the Shadowrun universe it's synonymous with a shadowrunner.

    Couple extras:
    1. If you turn down Panam’s choice, you get the Archer Quartz car, but it locks you out of a lot of stuff as it’s necessary for her side gigs and romance questline. There’s also an iconic weapon during the revenge rampage you go on that you won’t get otherwise. The car will be added to the auto fixer a couple days later, so you’re way better off just buying it.
    2. If you’re doing a netrunner build, you can use one of your relic perks to add the weapon glitch quick hack to your monowire and apply it with charged hits. Personally, I think doing the movement one is better because applying it improves follow up attacks with the monowire, but the option is there.

    Couple useful things (that you didn't mention) came to mind;
-Regarding enemy quickhacks, self-ice is a must have no matter what type of a build you're going for, it negates an enemy quickhack every time. (well, it has a cooldown of course so maybe not each and every one but most of the time its works perfectly and upgrading it decreases the cooldown and it's one less thing you need to worry about in combat)
-bloodpump+biomonitor combo is another must imo because it's essentially an auto-heal so that's also one less thing you need to worry about in combat. And furthermore, if you invest perk points improving healing items and health regen, you can make V almost invincible :D

My Number 1 tip for Quick Hacking: Slotting them in order so your preferred one appears first in the list.>>
They are listed in order based on where you slot each one. I personally use Short Circuit as my first in line (top of the list). That way you can rapid fire it as fast as you can shoot a gun. To do this, load your quickhacks from the BOTTOM first, making sure that the quickhack you want to be at the top of the list is slotted LAST into the TOP LEFT slot. So top right for 2nd last, and TOP LEFT for the last one.

The best fixer reward by far is Regina Jones called the "axolotl" for each kill you get you reduce your cyberwear cool down for around 10% so there you go

You can get the Axolotl from Phantom Liberty ripperdocs once you are above level 40 IIRC. Axolotl is only really good for Sandy builds for infinite Sandy. For netrunners the iconic COX-2 is by far the better choice giving your quickhacks the ability to crit at +100% damage.

Think I might be the only one that hasn’t needed to rely on the reinforced tendons to double jump. I did both of my playthroughs with the lynx paws - as a heavily stealthy player, that cyberware definitely keeps me silent. It’s nice. But just a personal pref

Don’t think you’ll get an extra reward from Regina and it sucks the challenge challenge but keeping a Blue Level Rare Memory Wipe in your deck of iconics makes it 10x more easier to stealthily knock out all but 2 or 3 of of the Cyberphyscho’s

You can get a free car with guns attached to the front after jackies death. Its north west. There are a bunch of open warehouses and its located in there sitting alone... no quests needed.

Easiest thing to do is get Delamain's job to hunt down his wayward cars, drive up to northeast Northside and find the missing car. When you do, you'll be in an area with lots of abandoned warehouses. Drive around, and you'll find it inside one of them. Keys are in a nearby trash pile under a board. The car is a Javelina with machine guns, painted as a tribute to the late racer Ken Block

I do craft alot though i save up those components for leveling up the good cyberware that i get put on my character. It's beneficial actually, and you can craft the lesser components into higher components for said cyberware upgrades.

i personally like the fortified ankles over the double jump. when combined with the dash (and subsequent air dash), i never need a vehicle again as i can combo them together endlessly and scale everything with ease. plus, you still get a double jump when jumping off a vehicle, which could be an oversight but makes me feel OP in a good way.
    i think it's a slept on cyberware.

Comboing dash and double jump works too, it's so fun how you can just cross 50m gaps, and outrun car traffic.

I find double and Super Jump useful but I feel both do the same thing practically almost.
