    The bus drivers NEED to STOP letting people on the bus for FREE!!! IF someone has NO MONEY, MAKE them WALK!!! It is NOT FAIR for the REST of us who PAY OUR FARES to ride the bus!!!

    Council member Rodriguez where is your sense of emergency to provide funding to make state asylums and put all these crazy people in?

  • @adamdobson2772
    @adamdobson2772 25 дней назад +11

    She’s right, so many people are allowed on the bus with paying no fare whatsoever.

    • @jessicawagers2321
      @jessicawagers2321 25 дней назад +4

      Exactly! I see this ALL the time! The bus drivers FEELS SORRY for these people so they let them on for FREE!!! But IF I asked to ride the bus for FREE, the bus driver would laugh at me and tell me to PAY!!! I BLAME the bus drivers for this!

      I'm not disputing what you're saying that's not always the case because I can say this because I have a friend who used to work at Metro he told me that he is actually required to let the homeless people on the bus regardless of whether they pay their fair or not and if he refuses to allow them on the bus he can get in trouble and it doesn't matter how crazy the person is acting as long as they're not hurting anybody you have to let them on whether they pay fair or not

  • @mrnobodyinvr9762
    @mrnobodyinvr9762 25 дней назад +4

    How is this supposed to help stop these crimes? Ridiculous. The City has to step up, face the facts, and start a hard line of arrests and HARD TIME for these criminals. You need to implement Capital Punishment for lesser crimes if you want to stop this long term. Its the only answer, Everyone knows it, and it must fall on the city and state to protect the law abiding citizens.

    IF a homeless bum can bum 2 dollars for a BEER, then that bum can bum 2 dollars for the bus fare!!! It is that simple!!!

    How?
    By further defunding the police?
    By giving more of the police budget to local community social workers offices?
    Is that how?

    This is not just on Metro, it’s on the city of LA too. They need to provide the resources to make the city safe. They certainly have the resources and cops to go and harass college students. Instead send them to patrol bus and train stations.

  • @MrGleeiscool

    Just get security guards on buses it’s sad that we need that but I think I’d be scared to take the bus without a guard

    • @rplayer77
      @rplayer77 20 дней назад

      And put them on elevators, on every single train door. I don't think 1 guard on the bus is enough though. It has to be 3 or 4 of them. 1 or 2 on the elevators and then outside the main bus stops have 1 or 2.
      I also believe that there should be a more organized system where people are no longer standing up anymore. Make it more organized.

    They should install more secure gates like BART is doing.
    Also, in house security force is a must. Its clear at this point contracting to LAPD and the sheriffs was a costly mistake. They arent effective or consistent in their enforcement

      Exactly, empty talk until they put law enforcement on these public transportation buses….I have been attacked by homeless, drug addicts, immigrants, and just plain fools while riding metro. I was losing my shutters!!!! And then God provided and got me a car in 2016……I briefly used metro in 2024, but was a bit worried.
