Just curious have you ever done a follow up review on the painted furniture like your dining room table because I want to paint mine and want to know if it's worth it.
Numa.K Hi can I recommend something buy a small roller brush for the rails and use brush for smaller areas. This way you won’t have too many streaks. Thanks for watching😉
Thanks for sharing the video. I have a new grandbaby due in July & was thinking about painting a used crib I got from FB to use at my house when I watch McBaby. I did my granddaughter's dresser & night stand here in Icy Grey by Rustoleum. Debating about doing the crib (its dark brown). But I think your video helped me decide to go ahead with it. Yours looks great!
I'll be doing this, thanks for the vid. I must admit I was cringing when you painted without any plastic down. ahhhhhh bold. I'm also doing a nautical themed room. looks great! Was there any research done to ensure its kid friendly and non toxic if ingested, etc? As kids like to teech and chew on the cribs.
Leidy Cachaplita Hi yes that was enough paint. They say chalk paint is safer but I still waited a night to be safe. You’ll love it. Also if you have streaks take a sanding block😉
That's the color I bought for my dining room project lol. It looks great. I can't wait to try. So instead of the protective coat you used on your dining room table, this one is another option? which of the two do you prefer?
Looks absolutely beautiful. Definitely redoing my baby's crib as it has quite a bit of damage from previous use. How is it holding up? Any ships? Does it scratch off easily????🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🛌🛌🛌🛌🛌🛌🛌🛌🛌🛌🛌🛌🛌
does chalk paint give off lot of fumes, did you need a lot of ventilation in the room while painting?? I'm pregnant I'm wondering if I should move it to the garage to do this ..
Eloise Martin It's not as bad as regular paint. I can tell a huge difference. Wherever I paint I open windows. Since you're pregnant I would do it in the garage with more ventilation. When I painted the crib I gave it 3 days before my son slept in his room again. You'll notice a difference though when painting it's not bad.
Leslie Lamngeun Hi I used a medium sanding block and lightly sanded. Not necessary but if you see an area that needs it it’s perfect. Thanks for watching😊
hello! i love the idea of using this paint for crib. is it really necessary to apply a clear coat after? would the crib feel rough after the chalk paint dries up?
Yeekiat Mak Hi. Chalk paint has a chalky feel to it. It’s not smooth. I recommend painting it and lightly something with a sanding block like I did. It just smooths it out. The clear top coat just seals the paint. You don’t have to but could chip. Like if you’re vacuuming and it hits the crib. So it’s up to you
Esperanza Trujillo Its a convertible crib. When you want to convert from crib to toddler bed. This way they can get in and out of bed. A lot of cribs do this😉
I’ve watched a few chalk painting of cribs videos. Do you not need a drop cloth? Or to take the bed apart? How does that work to reach all the areas? What do you do if it drips?
Lucy Fruge Hi I actually did use a clear drop cloth. I didn’t take it apart. I just got into the small spaces with a small brush. Also this chalk paint is thick so it’s not as runny. Covers scratches and all. Good luck
theknightlife922 Hi so I bought one can and had paint left over. Since it's chalk paint it dries fast. I start painting second coat once it's dry to the touch. So I give it 1hr to dry and start painting. If the crib is a light wood two coats might be enough. I wish I would have done this a long time ago. My sons room is so bright I love it. I painted the dresser too. Would love to see how yours turns out. Thanks for watching😊
ALG Hi I used Wooster Pro. If you want to see what it looks like I share it in my painting dining table video😉 Good luck on your project I loved how it turned out
Kye James Channel Hi I used a Wooster Pro Brush. They have different sizes and a sanding block. I lightly sanded it. It helps sand some of the brush streaks. Thanks for watching😉
What Safe top Coat did you use or recommend for a baby crib painted with chalk paint?
I love it ! Thanks so much for this video ! You just motivated me to finally do this ! I’m ordering the paint today .
I wonder if I could paint my change table and dresser using this paint
Absolutely love it. I feel confident enough to do this now. Thanks.
looks great by the way I love it !
Eloise Martin Thank you and thanks for watching😊

tkine97 Hi. Yes do it. It would look nicer with the furniture you painted😉
Sooo doing this! This is beautiful!
Do you think the top coat is absolutely necessary? Aesthetically, crib looks about the same, but I am not sure about the touch/physically.

sooperlikesonic Good luck you’ll love it. Read about chalk paint it’s non toxic. Also I did put a plastic clear sheet down😊 thanks for watching
I use chalk paint all the time. No fumes, odor at all.
Very nice.....It's very pretty !
Thank you for the video.
So 1.5 can of chalk paint and IT is kid's safe! Awesome!

Veronica Paige Guzman Thank you. I did the crib and dresser😊 and I love your videos. Thanks for watching
Beauty by Jaimy it looks really good ! And thank you :) I would have been so scared to paint it but you make it look so easy
So if you use chalk paint you dont sand or strip, why is that?? Just sticks better? Thanks!
How many cans of the clear top coat did you use ?
Hi I absolutely love. Just had a quick question. Why use chalk paint instead of regular paint?
alyssa mendez Thank you. With chalk paint you don’t have to sand before painting😉
Just did my kid but if o teach it with my hand when it’s wet or whatever it leaves a mark.
Great job! Is it 2 pints or 2 quarts that you used? I saw you said small and your pic shows 30fl oz but I just wanted to confirm. TY
Just painted mine with the same paint and color. Mine turned out looking whiteish rather than a gray. Did your crib look white as well?
Feng Zheng Hi. I would say it’s a light grey but not white. If i put it next to white paint it definitely looks grey. What color was the furniture?

Love it how many coats and cans did you use
haitianhoney411 Hi three coats because it was dark wood and two small cans. Thanks for watching😊
Hi, what kind of sand paper are you using close to the end of the video?
Leslie Lamngeun Hi I used a medium sanding block and lightly sanded. Not necessary but if you see an area that needs it it’s perfect. Thanks for watching😊
So i dont need to sand it before painting it? Just if i need it ? I heared if u sand it the paint last longer

I was wondering how do you let the crib stand like that without the other part
Esperanza Trujillo Its a convertible crib. When you want to convert from crib to toddler bed. This way they can get in and out of bed. A lot of cribs do this😉
Did you just use 1 gallon for all three coats ?
I’ve watched a few chalk painting of cribs videos. Do you not need a drop cloth? Or to take the bed apart? How does that work to reach all the areas? What do you do if it drips?

So nice. Hvala. 💛💚💙
Turned out really nice! I'm thinking about doing this to a crib as well. How many cans of paint did you use?
Oh and about how long did it take each coat to dry

My crib has some scratches will the paint cover it. Thanks
Beatriz Reyes Hi the paint is thick so yes😉
How many cans did this take to do 3 coats?
Nice work
What sanding sponge did you use and what grit number it ?
I wanted to know the same please
She didn't
Booboo Kitty Fuq Yes she did she sand it down at the end
Oooo... at the end??.. after she painted it... i missed that part
Did you use wax after?
Was 1 can enough?
aquinteros909 I used 1.5 and had left over for a little night stand table 😉
What kind of brush did u use?
How long did you leave it to dry between coats?
Pat ELSLEY Hello. As soon as it’s dry to touch around 1hr😉
Hi, I loved how it turned out and I'm planning on doing the same with my daughter's crib. I just had a question. What brushes did you use?
ALG Hi I used Wooster Pro. If you want to see what it looks like I share it in my painting dining table video😉 Good luck on your project I loved how it turned out
Awesome!
Did you have to sand it down first?
Miriam Luna No sanding before hand. That's why I used chalk paint. Thanks for watching😊
Does the paint chip off or come off since it is chalk paint?? Or is that what the wax is for?
Geneva Cavazos Hi I didn't use wax I show in the video what I used😉
No sanding?
Did you use anything over the chalk paint?
Frenchick Yes I share it in the video Matte clear tope coat😊
Thank you!
is it non toxic
Meredith Sauls Non toxic. The smell wasn’t as strong as regular paint but I still waited 2 days before i son slept in it😉
Hi, may I ask what paint brush u used? And also the sanding sponge at the end. Thanks! Great video BTW 👌🏼
Kye James Channel Hi I used a Wooster Pro Brush. They have different sizes and a sanding block. I lightly sanded it. It helps sand some of the brush streaks. Thanks for watching😉
Did you sand crib before you applied paint ?
good
