If I posted every time that I thought Mark played well it would get redundant because he does a great job every day. But sometimes he really outdoes himself and today was one of those days. Great job!
Couldn’t agree more!
The slide is real
i can only imagine the history of that guitar and mark you are part of that now.......nice playing mark...
Mark Agnesi: the Jimi Hendrix of flattops holy crap!
I like him better on flattops
1. L-0 Darkness my Old Friend-Simon and Garfunkel.
Roderick MacLeod L-O I love you won’t you tell me your name 😀
Duh. It's Roderick.
Is it me you're looking for?
I see what y’all doin
Mark you killed it today!!!!
I can dig it.
Jesus fucking Christ Mark. That first tune was amazing. I'm very impressed!
Jupiter MacWillow I don't get how people think he can't keep up with Lemmo
@@luizspindola he can't
He’s nowhere near Lemmo. He actually butchered the first tune he played aswell.
I'm kinda new here...pardon my ignorance, but who is "Lemmo"?
Oboyy..would you even ATTEMPT to play a Doyle Dykes arrangement? If you're that good, talk all the smack you want, Brother.
Guitar is awesome. Survived the Great Depression (no trailer queen here) and still sounds great. Playing was stellar as well. Loved this vid!
Um....dude...the guitar is late 1930's....The Great Depression started in 1929 and lasted until the late 1930's. And, we don't know the specific year of the guitar. So, um...perhaps you are giving too much weight to the guitar's history. Though, I am sure it has an amazing history. It sounds great! That's for sure!
I guess you're right, Kyle. But i just loved the vibe of this little Gibson. We don't know the history. Recovery isn't automatic. That little pg addition said alot. Guitar was well played. um, Mark also said 'just before the war' for the Gibson logo. nuff said.
My god, that first piece was absolutely breath-takingly played, kudos Mark. Just wow!
Man! That was awesome! Great playing Mark and great camera work Jen.Thanks again for the shout out for our granddaughter Naomi. Can't wait for episode 600.
Mark both of those tunes was amazing
Good job Jen. No one would ever know about the awesome talent at Norm's. Mark. Better and better.
I can relate to that wear problem....I have the same issue with my Martin...... makes me feel better knowing I'm not the only idiot who plays there...... nice job today on those songs, they just seem to fit that guitar perfectly.....
Such a good looking guitar
Time for another episode of "Outrageously priced, antique museum piece, folk guitar Friday"!!!!
There you have it!
I can’t believe I’ve watched 599 of these gotds. Doesn’t feel a bit over 499
Timothy Cormier me too! well...I may have skipped some thumpin' Thursdays 😀
ray wt yeah anyone who’s read any of my comments knows bass day isn’t my favorite. But I still watch. Cuz I’m hooked. Hahahah. It’s been fun on this channel. Interacting with the people. Jokes and such. Interactive entertainment is a great thing

Whooo! Agnesi starting off with a little old time/bluegrass razzle dazzle! Awesome!
Superb playing, Mark❗️
Just when we started to think that Mark was strictly a rythym and bass guy , he whips out these gems , some great pickin and grinnin and some classic slide rules , atta go Mark , very impressive. Can't wait for the 600 - 0 , yeah Straturday. Mice work Jen , thanks guys.
I like the guitar, and Mark, you always do a great job, playing those guitars. And Jen, I always enjoy your artistic views through the surrounding acoustic guitars!
Great Job!
Mark always plays great on a flat top. Norm should give him one as a Christmas bonus!

Wonderful playing, Mark. I'd love to watch the 600th actually live, but it will be at 1 am where I am - a bit much for an old man.
Sounds great. Good picking! Great video Jen!

That was the best use of harmonics I've ever seen.

Put Jen on camera for the 600th episode!!
Wow 😮 you nailed both great playing well done
Bloody awesome slide playing
Old smaller Gibson's certainly have a nice sound! To me, much better then the bigger bodies.
Gooooooooood DAMN that first tune was hot. And it really sang on that old Gibson! Can’t wait for the live GOTD tomorrow
The 6 hundo for my birthday. Neat ;)
6-hundo celebration......I hope it's a Hondo.
I started on a Culombus & the an Antoria. "Lot's of fun"!.....
My kind of real good playing bravo!!
Gosh Mark you're all over it dude!!
You excelled yourself today Mr Agnesi. I would prefer a late 1930's Martin 00018 myself but this one was pretty good.
Nice sound.. thanks Mark ✌️Jen get that cake 🎂 special lady 🌷 see you all tomorrow!! Byeeeeee
That’s Some Serieus guitar playing man!!

Jumping Jack Flash Major Tom!, incredible
Step right up, kiddos. The show will start soon. We have an esoteric man, a paragon and fastidious student of the guitar. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you, nom de plume, Mark Agnesi.
Troy Strain
Rumor has it Mark A. can string pubic hairs between #2 Ticonderoga Pencils and play some very dirty blues. Frank has a cassette of it in his Pinto but it might be sun damaged.
sixty2jeff Wonderful.... Lol
That thing's cool. If you don't want that you don't want anything.
Going to miss the 600 live.
I'll be on BART going to see Arlo at The Freight. Darn!
I'm getting a keg!
Very smooth 👍
Wow
Sounds awesome
What if Jen did Guitar of the Day once, just for fun.
Yeah, she could play 'twinkle twinkle little star' on the couch.
What if she did me instead "just for fun?"
She's buying a cake!!!
She'd only want to tickle it.
Three Beyonce tracks? No thanks.
Eu quero esse violão pra mim Norman
Dear God Mark, you are a living jukebox!!!!
600 hundo already?? Man I feel like I've only watched 200-345, great guitar by the way and great song
Wow!!! Getting close to episode 600. I have a feeling I'm still going to be writing 500 on my checks.
Nice playing!
I love you GOTD
Mark is on 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Mark been practicing. Geeez.
Probably wouldn't have had any thumb downs had you not had to use the Snark on camera (jk) ... speaking of thumb downs, they should require a link to each person's own site where they do their version of guitar of the day and play AT LEAST as well as you do ... Mark, nice playing.
+1 on the excellent guitar playing. The Gibson? I dunno. It sure is a nice old guitar, but I just like Martins a lot better.
cool as a old stop at the train station.
The tuning was my favorite part
Could you play some regular open chords and bar chords next time you do a guitar like this? Its great to hear the style that the guitar is associated with. But it would be nice to hear some basic stuff to hear its sustain or how bar chords hit higher on the neck. You still killed it in this video. I just would like to get a quick basic taste before Joe Satriani gets down with a late 30s acoustic. Congrats on 600!

Sitting here thinking about ALL the ES Wednesdays that have been recorded and never a mention of the LATE GREAT ALVIN LEE of Ten Years After fame... probably the best performance of anyone at Woodstock. And his "BIG RED" ES 335 is as famous of a guitar that you will ever see. Alvin was probably one of the most underrated guitarists of all time.do yourself a favor Mark and learn some Alvin Lee licks
