I didn't know much about this man until Iam Tongi sang some of his songs and some of his fans who commented on Iam's American Idol performance mentioned the likeness of the two in certain ways. So, I thought to check IZ out and boy oh boy, I have not stopped crying. True legends never dies they are alive in our hearts and memories. Today as I listened to his bleeding and yearning love for his people my tears just won't stop. 😭 His message was of Love peace and joy. What a humble beautiful soul. I don't know you but your songs have truly touched my heart and I fell like I have known you before from way beyond the rainbows.

I never heard a voice so absolutely heavenly!!! We truely lost out when Izzy passed, but I will never stop listening to him I feel im closer to heaven when I hear his beautiful voice. I was absolutely blessed to see him in Hilo, mid 70s~ he was with the Makaha Sons of Ni'ihau and sharing the stage with his older braddah Skippie~ who died not long after. Those two were one TON of true Hawai'ian=love/fun/ALOHA. I was lucky enough to be in that audience...with the man who became my husband. All these years later, we both still crave to listen to Braddah Iz...frequently! We played his music on New Year's Eve, just the 2 of us dancing the New Year in, while fireworks were going off all around, even out here in the middle of a Puna jungle! We held each other & swayed to the Heaven sent music of paradise~ especially Braddah Iz! Still with us now, this year of our Lord, 2022. Hau'oli Makahiki Hou!! I met this man at my wedding in 1990. He was family with my best friend. We had our wedding at the the first catholic church on the Big Island?! We had a DJ who introduced us his music and he sang all nite
I lived on O'ahu, in Makakilo, when Iz passed away. I was actually in North Carolina at the bedside of my mother as she lie dying. The day they spread Bruddah Iz's ashes is the same day my mother passed away. When I returned to the Island I had no idea of what had happened because I had been away for awhile. I was very sad to learn the news of Bruddah Iz's passing. I loved hearing and watching him! And still do to this day. I listen to him almost daily, still. I will always have this connection to him. Moe i ka maluhia!! Love always!!!

People who often aren't who we would look to for an image of a star show the world God chooses to use those who confound the wisdom of the world. To look upon his size he should've never made it in the music business according to their standards of what's acceptable. But God will use whom he chooses and it ain't always the package wrapped up like we want it to be IZ stayed true to himself. This man defied their standards. All you see is pure talent and presence. He was amazing. No one is guaranteed a long life. He made the best of his short life when he was singing it makes me imagine his spirit flying over the earth happy , and blessed he no longer has to be in physical pain or judged. I met Iz 1984 Kaui. Most endearing person. Smartman,we had a deep caring for each other, even in the briefest moment of time. His kind words, insight were 100%. Much later,life upside down, as time to contemplate his words and meanings helped carry thoughts through 2 the other side of sanity. Sometimes we do everything right BUT. . . I believe he was here for so many wo may never know he was to be our BEST BETTER ANGEL. PTSD sufferers, this horrible virus of 2020 he came to us who cried about lost and sick loved ones. My nurse daughter learned to play a ukulele she saw one in a music store in z2020 and wanted it but did not know why. I believe in my heart it was IZ coming to her because she got COVID-19and is a snowy 100 miles from us, her parents. She plays bass guitar, flute, saxophone, sang in high school And college. I order food and all she wanted along with a nurse who helped her and sent her IZ. He was all I had to help me sleep and know she would be ok. 27 and BACK AT WORK HELPING OTHERS even though the ugly politicians jumped the line and took her medical groups’ vaccines. She suffered but made it. I think IZ MADE IT SO! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I believe he was here for so many wo may never know he was to be our BEST BETTER ANGEL. PTSD sufferers, this horrible virus of 2020 he came to us who cried about lost and sick loved ones. My nurse daughter learned to play a ukulele she saw one in a music store in z2020 and wanted it but did not know why. I believe in my heart it was IZ coming to her because she got COVID-19and is a snowy 100 miles from us, her parents. She plays bass guitar, flute, saxophone, sang in high school
And college. I order food and all she wanted along with a nurse who helped her and sent her IZ. He was all I had to help me sleep and know she would be ok. 27 and BACK AT WORK HELPING OTHERS even though the ugly politicians jumped the line and took her medical groups’ vaccines. She suffered but made it. I think IZ MADE IT SO! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
