  • Summer League was a MOVIE and ALL THE SMOKE had a chance to sit down with some of the biggest names in the sport. On the first episode of ATS's Vegas run, Matt and Stak sat down with Lakers' breakout star Austin Reaves. The 25-year-old reflected on the teams up and down 2023 season, Lebron breaking the all-time scoring record, his new contract, and guarding Steph in the playoffs. Plus, he explains what it was like playing with Russell Westbrook and what it is like playing with Lebron and joining the United States FIBA team.

    Instead of an in season tournament, the league should've implemented an end of season tournament that replaces the current lottery.
    Have the worst teams play each other for draft position. The final teams will be the 1st and 2nd pick with the winner taking the 1st.
    This would incentivize teams to actually want to win. Even if you're not good enough to make the playoffs, you'd need to that can compete in the draft tournament.

    • @youtubewatcher6124
      @youtubewatcher6124 Год назад +1

      A contender team that decided to tank would be too unfair for those lottery teams, for example the Dallas Mavericks
      They got a superstar in Luka and obviously they would bulldoze all the bottom teams there
      I don't think this will be a good solution but it will be entertaining too tbh

    • @improbablyyourdad8458
      @improbablyyourdad8458 Год назад

      @youtubewatcher6124 true, but I think the worst teams in the league would be incentivized to build better rosters. Rn teams purposefully build trash rosters to tank. This system would at least force those teams to try and be good enough to compete.
      Also, it could be one and done. That way, teams would only have to beat a team once to advance, like in college. Anybody can beat anybody on any given night.
