This is a guide for complete beginners where I teach you how to download Anki, discuss the different card types that Anki offers (cloze/basic), and give you some general tips and tricks for using Anki. Anki is a flashcard based application that is perfect for medical students.

I'm 70 years old, so I need things explained clearly hahahaha. I had almost given up on anki until I found this video. Now I've got a couple of decks made with cloze cards, very useful for advanced foreign language study. Grazie del cuore!

How come when I import a shared deck that says it has 5000 words I will only get 20 or so. That's happened for every deck I try to download both on desktop and mobile. The decks are always way way smaller than what it was said to have. Any idea what is going on here? Am I missing something? Thanks for your video.

If I select six days then does it mean that I won't be seeing that question for 6 days in my deck? My deck will show all other question except this?

Just for curiosity, in which year of the career do you are in, and in which do you started using anki? And, do you know where can I find premade decks in spanish?
I'm in my 5th year of University (doing an intercalated BSc) and I used Anki for the majority of 3rd and 4th year.
If you type into Google "Shared Anki decks - Spanish" then I'm sure you'll be able to find some.
how to us e anki for studying Latin
@Revising Rubies, I would like to learn how to add a subject for my deck. For example, I have anatomy as my subject and I would like to create categories under Anatomy such as thorax, upper limb, lower limb... how do I creat that? Please make a videos on that. Thank you.
You can drag and drop decks so they are under each other. This will essentially create a subdeck

Great explanation, btw is there a limit as to how much you can upload onto your anki account
You are limited by the amount of data. So you can't exceed 100MB I believe (for a compressed file). Don't worry, it is unlikely you will ever reach this limit. Make as many cards as you want!

I am not sure you are able to type in the answer for a close card unfortunately. You can do it with Basic.
I started using Anki and started experimenting with it before I found your site. Is there a way I can restart the program and not lose the nearly 1000 flashcards I set up already?
