    I was recommend to do this by my physio Therapist. I have had extreme pain from a ruptured l5-s1disk for 11 months now. The depression and constant thought of the pain I was in was all consuming. I am finally getting better this scan helped me cope with the pain and accept how I was feeling.

      @@ABHISHEKJaiswal-em5xn Thinking IS the job of the mind, and it is VERY good at it. Meditation and BREATH CONTROL is the answer to calm the mind - so paying very close attention to (focusing on) your breath, while continuing to bring your mind BACK to focus on the breath every time it begins to think again. This is good training. You can of course use these guided meditations and you can also just spend 2 minutes a day (to begin) just sitting still and focusing on the sounds of in-breath and out-breath. It is very good for your nervous system and calms your mind and body. ♥

    thanks for this, im searching around and will add this to my list.. but look, and I could be wrong.. (really) but let me say the soft voice, that well meaning female, and male, instructors use gets right up my snout.. maybe I could just use MORE meditation, and I understand the goal is to relax and be calm so people listen well and meditate.. BUT, to me, maybe its because I live in city and get a lot of fake "sir can I " requests..but to me the fake (overly nice / patronizing) voice is an immediate turn-off.. - or could well be its my own hang up and soft voice IS better, I don't know.. - not an expert- but they ALL do it.. male and female.. well-meaning and intending to relax, but I get triggered.. i prefer normal voice guided meds.. just talk in a relaxed way as you would to say a young person, but as you would to a person you're treating as an adult. right. my 02. and as I say I could be wrong..

    • @MellisaDormoy
      @MellisaDormoy  4 года назад +2

      You're not wrong... the thing is that you have to find someone (a voice) that vibes with who you are right now... for example, I'm super picky about the voices I listen to and even tho I have been a hypnotist for 2 decades and a meditation teacher for ten, I can get turned off easily by some teachers... but I feel the energy - energy always comes through in a meditation or session.. so you're having a reaction to that energy of softness, and maybe seeing it as fak- ish. You may have had a lot of experiences in life where someone was being patronizing to you with a fake niceness - and so it could be a trigger spot OR perhaps you just respond better to straight talking with no softness and that is relaxing to you, but yes trained meditation teachers and hypnotists are trained to use a soft voice to induce relaxation. Most people don't relax well with normal cerebral talking, that's all.
