I wonder if it was thr first time they ever performed this song live with Osibosa ( they are on the original recording of the song. I think they were on the same label at the time.suvh s great song. The audience got a rare treat of hearing the song as its recorded. It sounds amazing. Both groups sound very exuberant still the same energy live
@@tygertygers Did they? Were they credited on the album? My vinyl are in storage...and now I'm very curious. It never ceases to amaze me how nearly everyone in the UK back then knew and played with everybody. I keep hearing this on interviews over & over; from artists I'd NO idea were so connected with other artists. Often from artists one would never suspect, either! Amazing times!
Life imitates art - it's Spinal Tap! They actually sounded good until the extended percussion segment. Not the driving frenzy of the original version. Perhaps the chubby drummer doesn't have the stamina or chops.
i was into deep purple since IN ROCK in the early 70's i had bought the LP i also bought Magicians birthday and demons and wizards.Still have them today.as for Osibisa? hehe i also bought their first LP around the same time.Loving this video
Miss Kenny.... His vocal on the LAY Album still gives me shivers down my spine. Even after 100 times of listen to it

How cool is that tooo have a song with Osibisa,it does seem that the drummer is having to keep up,but still too cool.

RJason Twenty they recorded with them back in the 70s
Sin duda...quienes dan dislake, no saben de música
not know that Osibisa play with the Heeps (or otherways..) Great !
well it's a good version...the percussion part is a little bit longer ...but good version...
Quite an odd pairing. Two of my all time favorite bands...but together it was like pairing Pink Floyd with Frank Sinatra!
Osibisa played percussion on the original studio recording

They are ALL a step slower now. Still great stuff!
Always loved Heep, they were uglier than Purple, Sabbath and all rest........
