- Hello friends! I heard about Wenzhou a lot when I was in high school! I have longed for this city.
This time I finally have the opportunity to visit Wenzhou in person and experience the prosperity of this thousand-year commercial port.
I hope you like this beautiful little city, and I hope you have the opportunity to come and experience the thousand-year-old culture and historical charm here.
Wenzhou is famous for commercial activities and a well-developed private economy. With a tradition of "commerce", it was made a foreign trade port as early as in the Southern Song Dynasty.
As one of the birthplaces of China's market economy, "private run, private ownership, private capital, private wealth and private benefit" is a distinctive feature of Wenzhou's economy.
The number of private enterprises and their industrial output value, foreign trade exports, and new employment numbers all account for more than 95% of the city's total, forming the "Wenzhou Model" that has attracted worldwide attention.
The city has 46 national production bases such as "China's Electrical Appliance Capital" and "China's Shoes Capital", and has successively won the titles of National Demonstration City of Strong Quality City, National Intellectual Property Demonstration City, and the first batch of national demonstration cities for social credit system construction.
Over 700,000 Wenzhou people are doing business all over the world and 1.75 million people in all parts of the country.
They have established a Wenzhou business network covering the whole country and connecting the world.
Wenzhou boasts wonderful landscapes with rugged mountains and tranquil waters, including three state-level scenic spots, namely the Yandang Mountains, the Nanxi River and the Baizhangji Fall-Feiyun Lake, and two national nature reserves, the Wuyanling Ridge and the Nanji Islands.
Wenzhou, a prefecture-level city in East China's Zhejiang province, is a business hotspot in the area.
As the birthplace of China's private economy, Wenzhou is known as one of the three model cities of post-reform China, along with Suzhou and Dongguan.
Wenzhou has experienced rapid development and is often taken as a paradigmatic case for the privatization and entrepreneurialization of urban China against the context of market-oriented reform and open-door experiments.
Wenzhou has undergone a major social, economic, and spatial restructuring over the past four decades.

Great video thanks. Really enjoyed the historic area and great things for the kids to do. Also the wonderful coast walk, I would love to do this although at my age I'm not so sure I could manage it 😂 To be honest, before watching this I had never heard of Wenzhou. I wish I had known about it when I visited Hangzhou in 2015 maybe I would have taken a side trip
